Great internship and city experience!
January 17, 2024by: Fiona Lighthiser - United StatesProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
I loved my internship with Directorio Legislativo, but what really made the program was being able to live in Buenos Aires. I loved using the extensive city public transport, having almost everything accessible within a 5 min. walking radius, and going out at night! Road2Argentina offers great support to your specific needs. The people who lead the program will help you with whatever you need at anytime if it’s figuring out public transport, adapting to cultural differences, or helping to plan an excursion.

An awesome cultural immersion experience
October 19, 2023by: Yuliana Rud - United StatesProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
I was in Argentina with Road2Argentina for two months, but I wish I could've stayed longer with how much fun I was having at my internship and with the group. I gained a lot of new friends from the other students completing the program, and still talk to them today. The internship I completed was so much fun and gave me a lot of good experience and lessons. I ended up becoming so close to my coworkers I was so sad to leave them after the 8 weeks. My whole experience wouldn't have been as memorable as it was without them and Road2Argentina!
Internship In Argentina, BEST EXPERIENCE!
October 18, 2023by: Ashley Sanchez - United StatesProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
I spent 2 months in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of an internship with my university in partnership with Road2Argentina. It was the best experience I have ever had! Every day was a new adventure, learning new things, meeting new people and creating amazing memories that I will always keep with me. Mateo and David were always available to answer my questions or any concerns I had, they helped me with the process before heading to Argentina and also when I got to the country. I would always recommend Road2Argentina to whoever might want to travel abroad! Even though I was thousands of miles from home, I never felt alone, I had a community of people I could always count on!
Fase2 experience through Road2Argentina
June 06, 2023by: Gautham Narayanan - United KingdomIt was an amazing experience where I met many people from a variety of different cultures and outlooks on life, making lifelong friends in the process. I developed both professionally and personally through the placement at a camp teaching english, coordinated by Road2Argentina for pre placement advice and contacts. I also experienced the argentine culture through the variety of different free activities provided by David and Mateo at Road2Argentina. (my favourites were La Bomba del Tiempo and Fuerza Bruta, as well as seeing the exhibition of Campeon del Mundo- unforgettable)
Unforgettable experience in Argentina
April 29, 2023by: Gabriel Cohen - United StatesProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
My time in Buenos Aires, working with Road2Argentina was truly incredible and unforgettable. My Spanish improved significantly, I met incredible people and felt immersed in a wonderful city. R2A's activities were very fun and immersive. I had constant support and help whenever I needed it.
An amazing adventure!
January 28, 2023by: Thomas Gordon - IrelandAs an engineering student I chose the internship to broaden my horizons and have international experience for my CV. From the start the organisation was excellent with great communication meaning that I never felt out of my depth or lacking in support. Buenos Aires is a fantastic city to visit and work in with very friendly people who are glad to see international students helping with their projects. The social aspects were well planned making it easy to enjoy what the city has to offer, including a traditional asado (Argentine barbeque), the Van Gogh interactive show, wine tasting and a tour of the city landmarks. I gained many experiences that have helped develop my character and have lots of memories that I will treasure and have been able to use socially and in personal statements and interviews.

An adventureholic's dream come true
January 10, 2023by: Jake Ferro - United StatesProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
The summer I spent in Buenos Aires, Argentina was nothing short of spectacular. From the warmth and friendliness of the people, to the quality and variety of food, the city felt honestly more safe and welcoming than most cities in my home country. It is hard not to be amazed by the stunning, century old architecture in an increasingly modernizing city, as well as the art, music, and culture that capture the essence of Buenos Aires. Outside of the city, it is relatively affordable and easy to travel around the area. Take a taxi or riverboat to the town of Tigre, go to a traditional cattle ranch to meet a Gaucho, or take a ferry across the river to Uruguay. Argentina itself has so many cool places to visit, all of which can be reached from Buenos Aires. With places like Iguazu Falls, The Mendoza wine region, and Patagonia, Argentina has something for everyone. Whether you consider yourself a foodie, adventurer, city slicker, or a cowboy, check out Argentina and I promise you will not be disappointed.

The best decision I have made
October 13, 2022by: Morgan Rogers - United KingdomProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
I made the decision to do a 6 month internship in Sustainable Development with Road2Argentina for my placement at University. From the first day I arrived Mateo and David made me feel comfortable and safe in a city that was so far from home. Any concerns I had were answered within the first day I arrived and from that day they were available to call 24/7 no matter the problem. I chose the shared apartment option and was placed with a lovely relaxed family that lived in the heart of Palermo which made going out with friends very convenient. If you are concerned about your Spanish level before applying, don't let this be a barrier! There are many schools around the city which you can go to and they also act as a great way to make new friends. I arrived with little to no knowledge in Spanish and left almost being able to speak it fluently. My internship immediately exposed me to sustainability projects from all across South America and the knowledge and life skills I gained from this experience are invaluable. It has only been since returning back to London and having interviews with different companies have I realised just how valuable this experience has been and how much it makes you stand out when applying for jobs. If you have any queries please don't hesitate to get in contact with Mateo or David and ask for my contact details and I will happily speak in more depth about what to expect in Buenos Aires and what you can gain from doing an internship here before you apply. The thing that makes Road2Argentina so special is how personal it is. Unlike other companies that operate in this market, Road2 feels much more like a family and will cater to your every need to make this a truly amazing experience. It wont be long before I return to Argentina and in Mateo and David I have found lifelong friends and I can't wait to see them again.
Amazing time in Buenos Aires!
October 11, 2022by: Dylan Mott - United KingdomI recently went to Buenos Aires through the Road Programme and loved every moment of it! Mateo and David were extremely kind and help me to get settled in Buenos Aires. It was a daunting experience at first, but with their help and the fun socials that they organised I was able to make the most out of my time there! They helped me with the commute from my flat to work, SIM card, transaction advice and much more. They also provided me with some great advice on travelling to Iguazu; including the best airlines to use, places to stay, etc. I would certainly recommend others to use Road2Argentina as their personal touch provides a far more valuable experience and they were always there for me when I needed it!
Wonderful experience!
October 19, 2021by: Davito Jonson - United StatesProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
I spent 8 weeks volunteering at a fantastic NGO in charge of finding housing solutions for families without access to decent housing. The whole experience was amazing, the program was perfectly organized. They give you a fabulous welcome kit!
Leren consulting 10/10!
May 28, 2021by: Sarah Shafik - United StatesMy experience with Leren Consulting was phenomenal. As a person who is from a completely different country and culture from the company, the Leren team made me feel at home. They always made sure to involve me in conversations and ensure that I understood correctly. In addition, the work I did was not only within my studies, but it was quite fun to do and complete and they were able to give me feedback on my stuff and even post it. I wish to work with Leren again because they foster a very healthy work environment and atmosphere.
Remote experience!
September 21, 2020by: Jenna P - United StatesFor the Summer of 2020, I was an intern at Mensajeros de la Paz in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Mateo and David were very helpful in making sure that I was satisfied with my placement. Communication between myself and them and myself and the Mensajeros de la Paz coordinators was frequent and supportive. I learned a lot from this experience and improved many skills that I will be able to apply to future experiences. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who wants an international internship experience (remote or otherwise!)
An experience I will never forget
February 23, 2020by: Julide Kose - NetherlandsI did a three month internship in Buenos Aires through Road2Argentina and this was an experience I will never forget. I arranged it through Road2Argentina and the process went really smooth and easy. First we talked through Skype and we tried to find a suitable internship. I ended up at an amazing lovely marketing company operating in a beautiful part of Buenos Aires (Palermo Soho). This company was a young hip and modern company in an amazing neighbourhood. Next to this, Mateo and David (the owners of Road2Argentina) Arranged every week at least 2 really nice local events for me and other interns. Events to get to know the city, the culture, the country. Every week we could let them know if we would be able and willing to participate. Through this I’ve met other interns and even friends and family from Mateo and David. This was really nice to get to know the city better and an addition to my experience. They also provided a lot of information regarding safety, money, where to go, where to live and what to do or not. During my time, I could reach them always when I needed to. Either serious cases or non serious. I am really happy they helped me with creating this amazing opportunity and memory for me. Also Argentina is an amazing country to travel through. Buenos Aires is a beautiful city with amazing parties and culture. In Argentina you can travel to Salta and Patagonia, which is unbelievable beautiful. When choosing Road2Argentina, you will have a good time, for sure! Thanks again Mateo and David, nos vemos en futuro ❤️

An amazing country and new best friends!!
September 23, 2019by: Edwing Salas - VenezuelaYes it is!! Since I Started this program I Know that was a good choice, because I traveled entirely trough Argentina and meet very nice people and good hosts. I was a volunteer Road2Argentina program and I never forget the experience! Thanks for all David and Mateo!!

Best experience of my life!
September 17, 2019by: Ahmed Ibrahim Mbengue - CanadaMy 12-week internship in Buenos Aires was awesome. This experience changes my personal and professional life. There is so much good about Buenos Aires. Tango, football, food, street art, European style architecture, culture, museums, history... are amazing! About the job, I was in a good company. I got to meet funny and open-minded people who are passionate about their job. I have learned so much with those people related to my field of study. I worked on nice and interesting projects. About the program, Each time I needed help, the coordinators were able to help me. They always had nice activities to relax and have fun in my free times. I definitely recommend this program to anyone who wants to experience a job abroad and enhance his resume while having fun and learning about all the amazing stuff this city has.
Perfect amount of work and fun!
September 16, 2019by: Anokhi Dhamsania - IndiaI had a great time in Buenos Aires interning with the law firm! It was a great opportunity to work right under the CEO and the other co-workers. I got the chance to look over a variety of legal documents and familiarize myself with the legal jargon. And I also got to practice my networking skills along with my presentation and team working skills. Apart from the internship, I also had an amazing time living in Buenos Aires with the host, meeting people and exploring the city with them, and taking independent trips back outside of Buenos Aires like in Patagonia, Mendoza, and Iguazu Falls. I honestly had the best time on these trips. I definitely came back with a lot of great memories.
Unforgettable adventure
August 26, 2019by: Nicholas Chen - United StatesMy internship in Buenos Aires was one of the best abroad trips I have ever taken. I had no type of feeling of it at the beginning other than a slight nervousness. I was kind of iffy on the placement but as it continued it grew on me and it helped me decide what I want to do in the future. Although, I still am unsure what I want to do as a career choice this internship allowed me to explore options that I can do once I graduate. I was once interested in going into law but my placement, which was at a technology law firm, has ensured me that I will not be going into law any time soon. Outside of my internship, my adventures were quite appealing. Each trip has its own place in my head as they were each unique. I cannot wait to come back to explore more of Buenos Aires and to enhance my Spanish speaking skills.

The perfect experience
August 22, 2019by: Connor Perkins - United StatesAn internship through Road 2 Argentina is the perfect experience because it provides a student with valuable work experience, as well as the most fun time of their life. I would recommend this program to anyone. Buenos Aires is a very dynamic city and Argentina is a gorgeous country, as a whole. The program provided me with activities, friends, and insights, which gave me the confidence to explore different parts and do different things. I'll never forget the memories I made and the people I met in Buenos Aires. Those 16 weeks were the best thing that could've happened to me.
Good communication with program
August 21, 2019by: Sydney Hinegardner - United StatesMy internship experience started off far from ideal with a lot of tension and a terrible environment in the workplace. The program director was able to solve this problem quickly upon request and find a new placement for me. Because there are not many program attendees at a time, It seemed as though many group activities were planned on the spur of the moment; however, most of them were very entertaining.
Viva Buenos Aires
August 20, 2019by: Eleanor Scott - United KingdomI spent 3 months from March - June with Road2Argentina, working in AMUMRA (Asociacion de Mujeres Unidas, Migrantes y Refugiadas de Argentina) and living in Palermo. It was the most testing, fulfilling and beautiful 3 months of my life; going abroad to somewhere in South America is difficult - things don't work the same out there at all and you really are in control of how your experience works for you, meaning you have to be a lot more courageous and independent than you would need to be in the UK or the US. The programme convenors, Mateo and David, grew to be amazing friends of mine, I miss them, love them and I'm counting down the days until I can return to Argentina after my degree because for me, 3 months was not enough at all. My work was not for the faint hearted, as I mentioned previously, the way of life is different in Argentina and it is normal to have a work schedule that changes or not have facilities up to the normal standard, however the women I met and worked with were the funniest and bravest group of women I have ever met and spending time with them, learning about South America, was so amazing and a dream come true. If you are someone who is not afraid of leaving their comfort zone, wants to learn about other cultures, loves amazing steak, wine, travelling, scenery and beautiful people, then Argentina is the place for you and it is one of those places that never leaves your heart.
Great program in a beautiful and vibrant city!
August 20, 2019by: Hannah Swarm - United StatesMy experience in Buenos Aires was amazing- I enjoyed the work I was doing at my internship and had plenty of time to explore the city and other places in South America. It was intimidating at first to be in a new culture and speak my non-native language; however, I would never grow as much as I did if it weren't for this challenging experience. I loved spending time with my host family and sitting down together to enjoy traditional meals from Argentina. I lived in the beautiful neighborhood of Palermo, which was always lively and conveniently located near restaurants, bars, cafes and the subway station! The program made me feel welcome and our weekly group events allowed me to get to know all the other students better and experience more of the rich culture Argentina has to offer. Road2Argentina did a great job of matching me with my internship and was always flexible and willing to help. I recommend this program to anyone looking to travel, boost their sense of independence, and gain valuable work experience while improving their Spanish skills. Buenos Aires has so much to offer and I can't wait to travel back someday!
A great study abroad experience!
August 15, 2019by: Briana Osorio - United StatesI truly loved the work I was doing at my internship site and the work environment. There was lots to do in the office as well as out in the community. Keeping an open mind is what led me to have such an awesome experience. I learned so much from the women in the office not only about the projects conducted within the organization but as well their personal lives. The office atmosphere was a mini community, a sisterhood of sorts that made me feel welcomed since the first day. I was already nervous about traveling on my own and about working in an even more unknown environment. My coworkers helped guide me to their cultural customs both informally and formally. Overall, everyone I met during my time in Buenos Aires was welcoming, friendly and accommodating.

Fun
August 15, 2019by: Kate Oh - South KoreaMy experience with Road2Argentina was great! My work placement was amazing, had a lot of great time with coworkers and learned a lot. Their weekly events gave me an opportunity to meet a lot of people and learn others cultures as well. Had a lot of fun enjoying BsAs night life and traveling around Argentina! Our coordinator gave us a lot of traveling options as well!
Unforgettable summer in Buenos Aires with internship
September 13, 2018by: Ted Roach - United StatesMy 9 weeks in Argentina over the summer were ones I will never forget. Will and Simon made the entire process of applying and finding a suitable company extremely easy. They hear out your requests and do a great job of placing you in safe, fun neighborhoods. I lived in a shared apartment with various other travelers and a laidback mother and daughter. Great environment for learning Spanish but feeling like I had space as well. Buenos Aires is an unforgettable city with a number of excursions only a bus ride or cheap plane ticket away. Do this program if you're even considering it.
An incredible time!! Highly recommended!
September 12, 2018by: Mitch Maisel - United StatesI spent 3mo in the Road2Argentina program and it was simply incredible!! Will and Simon work tirelessly to make sure that your experience is exactly what you want it to be! I did 6 weeks interning with a healthcare based NGO before shifting gears to do a 6 weeks shadowing in a hospital (with a few weeks of travel in-between ;) ) and both experiences were amazing and highly useful to my future professional goals. The coordinators are there to make sure that you have one of the best experiences of your life! When you get there you instantly are connected with other Roadies and have a squad to roll around Buenos Aires: there was never any shortage of group events! The only reason I can't give it 10/10 in every aspect is simply the price: as a broke post-grad, it was definitely an expensive gap year experience. Although understandably, it is quite difficult to find short term housing at an affordable price, so i'm not sure I could have done any better on my own. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That being said, outside of housings costs, everything about the program exceeded my expectations and [in the larger scheme of undergrad and medical school debt] it was well worth the cost!! 9.8/10
Best summer of my life!
September 05, 2018by: Carolina Rojas-Becerra - United StatesTraveling to Argentina through Road 2 Argentina was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The R2A coordinators answered all of my questions before I even arrived and made me feel secure in choosing R2A. My internships at the hospital and with FIC were amazing. At the hospital I met so many doctors that gave me great advice on choosing a career and about life in general. They made me feel welcomed and weren't bothered at all by the numerous questions I asked. At FIC I did research that genuinely interested me. My internships were fun and I learned a lot about medicine and public health. The coordinators made me feel welcomed and planned fun events that helped me explore Buenos Aires a bit more. I had such an amazing time in Buenos Aires and totally recommend it to others!
Great immersion program, reasonable prices, and supportive staff
September 04, 2018by: Benjamin Rubanov - United StatesRoad2Argentina has a lot of benefits, and most of them revolve around the helpfulness of the staff, Will and Simon. The program does indeed act on all it says it offers - my housing situation was comfortable and reasonably priced considering the relative prices of the Palermo neighbourhood I was staying in. The staff will provide all the support necessary, as promised, and the internship choices are relatively plentiful. The experience you will have in the internship of course depends on the internship placement, but don't necessarily expect an extremely challenging experience; in my case, my internship wasn't particularly challenging, but from other participants in the program I heard varying perspectives. Overall, I would highly recommend the program; it was well worth the money to create a comfortable experience in a completely new and different environment. Thanks Will and Simon!
Summer in Buenos Aires
September 03, 2018by: John Stuart - United StatesThis summer I participated in the Road2Argentina program in Buenos Aires, and absolutely loved it! This was my first time travelling for an extended period anywhere, especially a country that does not speak English. The program is most useful at the beginning of your trip for accommodating your arrival and your housing etc. Throughout my time here there were several nights of activities offered. Program coordinators are also a super nice and assuring part of the program, because you never know what problems might come up. I personally had issues with my debit card being stolen, and both coordinators were willing to help me. I lived in a home-stay with an older family and thought it was great. The drawbacks and advantages were basically the same as living at home with parents in terms of personal freedom. The location of my apartment was by far the best [art of the trip. I was in the "Palermo" neighborhood which included: a subway stop within 100 feet, a mall within 100 feet, bars, restaurants, parks, and all of that combined with Palermo being a very safe place to stay. I interned with an NGO based on public health research and lobbying. I felt that being a volunteer intern made me less of a priority there, and it took several weeks for me to receive my project for the summer. The work itself was interesting, but it was all work from home. The internship was the only part of the experience I was disappointed in. The night life is super awesome and cheap in the city. I would go out every weekend with friends and had no problems. The culture of the city was really captured for me in all of the little bars I went to. Overall, the experience was great and I would recommend the program to anyone interested!
Internship + Spanish classes in Buenos Aires
August 18, 2018by: Areeb Siddiqui - United StatesRoad2Argentina is a great way to immerse yourself into a beautiful country and culture. The program makes sure you are comfortable in your homestay and in your internship, and creates events for you to get to know the Roadie cohort and the program coordinators. It is also very affordable considering the best neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires are quite expensive.
Different point of view
July 29, 2018by: Klaudia Viv - PolandHey there, I want my review to be different. It will be for someone who is similar to me….that might find it helpful. Little bit about myself: 26yo female I paid it all by myself, I didn’t get financial aid or anything like that, neither my parents were supporting me at any point of this internship Lived by myself before coming to AR What you get with R2A: -Accommodation: I paid more to have my internship with a home stay, so breakfast and dinner was included. -HOMESTAY in my case was amazing, I really loved my host and the dinners were amazing. BUT if you lived on your own before it will be quite of a switch having to accommodate to certain ‘’dining hours and quiet hours’’ etc. Obviously, no guests are allowed etc. HOWEVER, if you pick the option without homestay/ meals you'll live with someone anyways. It will not be an EMPTY apartment JUST FOR YOU. But concluding, I enjoyed living my with host, meals were great, I tried local cuisine, got to speak Spanish, had lot of support etc. But every family/host is different, so if you are super picky about EVERYTHING think twice ;) -One week at Expanish, Spanish classes that fit to your level- honestly the school was amazing and I wish it was more than just a week (if you want to extend the cost per week is around 200 USD) -You’ll be in touch with 2 coordinators, very chill and nice. They will organize meetings for the group and will answer all your questions etc -Generally, it says it is 24/7 SUPPORT but it is not like someone is awake at night waiting for your call or don't confuse it with an EMERGENCY LINE, you might get lucky tho. So depending on what the issue most likely it will be done during the day. I never had an emergency, but also I am very self sufficient and most of the issue I handle by myself. -Weekly activities: yes, there will be activities done together. Twice a week at least I think. Nothing super expensive tho, and it will be done very locally. Don’t expect go to Iguazu or Mendoza with Road2Argentina. Activities will include: Mate y medialunas / sharing mate and eating croissants/, Tango lessons/worth going/, museum trips, asado/bbq, and others. Basically nothing too expensive, no more than 200 pesos. I didn’t go to many of them because I was traveling or I was not into it, but for the ones I went I really liked. -Transfer from the airport which is probably around 600- 800 pesos one way depending on traffic. The trip back to the airport is on your own. -You’ll get CLARO card for your phone and SUBTE metro card but it will be empty, you’ll have to load it yourself -Internship placement; that obviously depends on what your field is / how you will be satisfied with the internship outcome etc./ I study IT, after all I liked my placement, the people were extremely nice and patient. Concluding, it is indeed a great experience to come to BUENOS AIRES! Truly an eye opening and I can say that I am a different person now. HOWEVER, from the realistic point of view, if you’re thinking of putting this program into your student loan (in my university it was really expensive), OR you are planning to spend your last penny for this program DON’T. It is really not worth the price if you do the math. You can get similar experience for the half of the price by just coming here and getting an airbnb, because the flight isn’t included anyways. BUT, if the money isn’t a big deal for you, or/and you can get a financial aid etc go ahead and experience it yourself! :) How can this program be improved? I wish more details was given before I made the payments. Also, more trips were organized for example on Fridays considering that during summer(winter) in Argetina days are shorter and the activities are limited.
NGO internship
July 22, 2018by: baroadie - United StatesR2A provided me with the most affordable and flexible programming options available for my desired internship. They ensured I was comfortable with my placement and helped me figure out my way around the city. I really enjoyed my internship at a human rights NGO. Through the program, I participated in activities including a drum show, empanada cooking class, and asado (BBQ) dinner. I was paired at an excellent homestay with a friendly and caring host in a central location in BA that made an enormous impact on my positive experience.
Internship in Buenos Aires
May 23, 2018by: Benito Van hove - BelgiumRoad2Argentina is a small company, but is always ready to help, 24/7. They offer internships, housing, activities and guidance before and during the program. They helped me with any doubts and made sure everything was ready on time. Will and Simone are always friendly and they make sure you enjoy your experience abroad. If you hesitate, just do it and experience something unforgettable. Definitely worth it!
The last time I did several things for the first time
May 08, 2018by: Georgia Green - United StatesMy experience in Argentina was full of firsts: the first time I traveled outside of the US, the first time I was immersed in a culture that did not speak my native language, the first time I ever took a cab...and Road2Argentina made these firsts a little less scary. From start to finish, they are there to address any concerns and answer any questions you have (naturally I had several). But most of all, they make you feel comfortable in a new, at times intimidating, environment. They perfectly balance a focus on building a community amongst other interns and volunteers through frequent events and excursions, which also provide opportunities to learn about and immerse oneself in Argentine culture, while simultaneously allowing you space to establish your own independence and unique experience abroad through your internship/volunteer placement and housing. I wish I could adequately put into words how much this experience has meant to me with regards to gaining traveling experience, the growth of my Spanish-speaking abilities, and above all, my independence and confidence in myself, and none of that would have been gained if it weren't for Road. Needless to say, Argentina is a beautiful country full of vibrant, passionate people, and if you have any inkling of interest in traveling, interning or volunteering there, contact Road2Argentina.
Internship at NGO in Buenos Aires
May 01, 2018by: Miranda Katz - United StatesR2A helped me 100% throughout my entire experience! Before I arrived in Buenos Aires, Will and Simon answered every last one of my questions (and there were a lot of them!). They set me up with an amazing internship at an NGO in Buenos Aires, helped me communicate with the organization before my arrival, and even accompanied me to my first day of work. They helped me figure out how to use public transportation, scheduled amazing activities for us each week, and were always available to help participants at any hour of the day. The program was very personalized and flexible and I would highly recommend R2A to anyone thinking about interning in Buenos Aires!
Cool Buenos Aires hospital internship
March 08, 2018by: Jenna Kenny - United StatesI came to Buenos Aires for a summer and it was the best! I worked in a public hospital there and had a great experience. I rotated through different specialties and was able to improve my Spanish skills. The coordinators with Road2Argentina were extremely helpful and set up fun events each week. It was a great way to see different parts of the city and meet new people.
An Incredible Experience
October 25, 2017by: Nidhish Lokesh - United StatesThis semester abroad with Road2Argentina has been some of the best few months of my life. Professionally, my internship placement and project were very relevant to my fields of interests. I got to pursue a personal project and really learn a lot about the topic. The work environment was great and my colleagues have all been friendly and welcoming. I gained a lot of language experience and loved the Spanish classes Road provided so much that I elected to stay a full month in the classes! The program coordinators, Will and Simon, have been incredibly supportive and welcoming, and I am very grateful for all the help. Buenos Aires really came to feel like home, and the friends I made through this program and Spanish classes were a significant part of that. I've gotten to explore surround cities and attractions as well. My host accommodation was very welcoming and comfortable. Overall it has been an amazing experience and I have no regrets about choosing R2A. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested.

Great times in a great city
October 10, 2017by: PipiCucu - United StatesProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
I enthusiastically encourage the program to prospective travelers. Both of volunteer placements, as an english teacher in a school and as a after school tutor, were a good fit. I got to work personally with the students and interact with my Argentinian co-workers and co-volunteers. I liked seeing what everyone else in the program was doing and share experiences. The directors are great and I always felt taken care of. I felt like I immediately joined a group of foreigners and natives and it was a lot of fun! The city is a rich cultural experience and the country is beautiful. I also highly recommend studying Tango while here.
There's a 1st time for everything!
September 06, 2017by: Tiffany - United StatesBefore I tell you how wonderful R2A is, I feel like I should first give you some background information about myself. My name is Tiffany and I had never traveled outside the USA. My biggest travel excursion has been up and down the east coast (Florida to New York) I had never traveled alone. I have never been on an airplane. I never had a passport. HOWEVER, I did it, and succeeded! I was in Buenos Aires for two months volunteering for Pillares which is an NGO that works in Villa 21-24. My main goal for coming to BA was to gain confidence in my Spanish.I could speak it and understand it but never had the confidence to say I was fluent. While I was planning my trip R2A was AMAZING! As a first time traveler, you could guess I had questions about everything! I had a pretty long email feed with R2A filled with questions and everytime they responded they were so nice and helpful. They always got back to me so quickly and really made me feel comfortable with my decision to go on this big adventure! Then when I got to BA I couldn't believe the amazing home I was staying in! The family was so welcoming and wonderful. My first full day in BA R2A took me everywhere I needed to go, and showed me how to get to my internship sites! I felt so at ease because I was given my own mini field trip tailored just for me. After that day I knew I would be fine because Will and Simon were SO helpful and understanding! Now that I have completed my 2 months in BA I am so over joyed with my personal growth and the connections I have made with the other roadies! Overall, I say R2A is literally the best program out there and if I could do it, so could you!
Internship with R2A
September 05, 2017by: Rachel Orga - United StatesRoad2Argentina has great connections to find you the most rewarding internship you can imagine. During your time as an intern you will grow not only personally, but professionally as well. I highly recommend this program to anyone willing to step out of their comfort zone and experience Latin American culture.

It was a great experience, I had the chance to work with an important in BA, improve my Spanish and meet a lot of people from all over the world and discover a fantastic country. Will and Simon are always willing for any doubt you may have and we also spent great nights together. I really recommend this program !!!
International Business internship
July 26, 2017by: Dorothee - CarbondaleWhen it came to choosing an international internship, I had a hard time finding the right program at the right price. But one I learned about the R2A program I can honeslty say my experience was nothing short of greatness. The team provided me with support the minute I sent in my application up until I said goodbye to the beautiful city of Buenos Aires. They helped me find the perfect internship and held weekly social events to help us get more acquainted with our surroundings. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work and live in Buenos Aires for two months and I would definitely recomend this program to any college student seeking an internship or volunteer job abroad.
Chacras of Buenos Aires Ecological program
June 23, 2017by: German Zuluaga - United StatesProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
i arrived as a biology major and i was expecting to work with the earth and people and thats exactly what i did. my experience submerged me into the entire process of recycling of both organic and inorganic products. with the organic waste we process it aerobically to produce a compost that was used to make fertile soil useful for poor areas in the north of buenos aires. with the inorganic materials we process them and made eco bricks which were used to make houses and schools in the town of La Plata which ironically does not have Plata. then some days changed greatly when we had to travel to different schools in the city and we showed children of different ages the different native flora of buenos aires, how to plant it and the importance of maintaining native plants in the city in order to promote bio-diversity.
Greatest program in BA!
September 30, 2016by: Chandler - ArgentinaI was in Buenos Aires for 2 months doing an internship with FIC Argentina, a public health company that does research and raises awareness for chronic illness. The internship was super relevant to my future career in healthcare and allowed me to build my resume and skills for graduate school. The people at FIC were amazing, they made me feel so welcomed and helped me find projects that were relevant to my future plans. I truly loved working for such an amazing company! Road2Argentina was an incredible organization to go through for my experience and I cannot recommend them enough. I traveled to Argentina alone for the first time and it made all the difference to have a program that supported me, showed me around, and made sure all the details of my housing and placement went smoothly so that I could enjoy more of my time here. It was also so nice having an official program to plan events where you can meet other people in the program. It also makes it easier to be away from home when you are a part of a group of people. I only wish I could have stayed longer! Road allowed me to get the most out of my time here with new experiences and new friends that I will never forget.
Wine Internship
September 06, 2016by: Gabi Berryhill - ArgentinaI loved my placement of internship at Anuva Wines, wine tasting, shipping, and club. The internship and road organizations were amazing, I always had someone to go to, always felt safe. Had a great social life here, the night life is amazing. Also learned a lot about the careers I want to go into and learned a lot about living in a big city!
Adventures in Patagonia
December 03, 2015by: Mike Tracy - St. LouisMy time with Road2Argentina has been one filled with great people, fun activities, and a number of great experiences. The internship that I was placed in allowed me to improve my Spanish and learn more about working in a small business abroad. The coordinators provided quality, fun events for all of the participants to hang out together and get to know each other. Road creates a very fun atmosphere in order for you to meet people from all over the world that are in the immersion programs but also experience Argentina. The people that you will meet and immersion experiences that are offered will allow you to have a one-in-a-lifetime experience.
Sewing Abroad
June 18, 2015by: Logan Blagg / Alayna Nieters - ColumbiaProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
My friend and I both were looking for a place in South America that we could use our Fashion Design degrees to volunteer and improve the lives of people and communities. Road2Argentina was the first and close to only organization that was more than willing to find a placement for our particular requirements. They exceeded our expectations with housing, accommodations, and activities. They were great at giving us an understanding of Argentine culture which was the perfect jumping off point to immersing ourselves into the culture. Overall we would happily recommend R2A to anyone, it is a great program with great people who will make you feel at home in a new place.
Taringa Intern
May 07, 2015by: Dana Hayes - Winnetka, IllinoisRoad2Argentina was a great program, one that i will have memories of for the rest of my life. To be able to experience buenos aires for 15 weeks was amazing. We were able to ravel to many awesome places throughout argentina while at the same time, work for a large social network. My job was great as I was given real important responsibility. The people at Taringa are great and is a cool enviornment to work in. The Road2Argentina program was so helpful throughout the process, with anything from random questions to internship placement.

Buenos Aires: A Second Home
May 07, 2015by: Sam Cole - Indianapolis, INI came to Buenos Aires with barely any knowledge of the culture or lifestyle, but I can say now after 15 weeks that I completely and comfortably feel at home here in Buenos Aires. While there was definitely a small learning curve, the city welcomed me with open arms. I found myself learning something new every day whether it was from my boss at work or the taxi driver ready and willing to converse with me. In the end, I had an extremely fulfilling internship that I grew from professionally, and an overall amazing experience in an entirely new culture that I now feel I can call home.
Road 2 Argentina Cultural Immersion Internship
May 06, 2015by: Jonathon - Buenos AiresOverall, I had a great experience interning in Buenos Aires through the R2A program. They placed me in an exciting internship in the tech industry, and I learned a lot of valuable skills that I can use as I continue to advance in my career. The social life is great, the food is delicious, and the people are one of a kind, so I highly encourage giving Buenos Aires a try.

March 06, 2015by: Shauna Sunkel - Walnut Creek, CAMy experience with Road2 could not have been better! It was so great to have real experience teaching classes, and all of the feedback from our (extremely funny and sarcastic) teacher was always really helpful. We ended up learning a lot, and now I feel ten billion times more comfortable about going to teach classes outside of our classroom. I am so excited to get started with my career as an EFL teacher, and I am confident that I will have their full support forever. Thank you to everyone who made this incredible experience possible! Every single minute was worth it.
Hi Shauna, Thanks so much for your feedback. We loved having you here. Don't forget that Buenos Aires is just a short trip from Cordoba! Hope to see you again soon and good luck with your classes! Saludos, Eden
outstanding teacher
January 28, 2015by: Alexander Taylor - dubaii took the tefl course with road to argentina in 2014 it was made worthwhile and challenging due to the teacher- Mali - who always kept motivation and interest high despite having to get through a significant amount of grammar, phonology and other linguistic materials. The initially nervewracking teaching element was introduced as quickly as possible but the attendees were always fun light hearted and interested to learn. Can highly reccomend the overall standard of the experience, including the wonderful city of buenos aires .
Hi Alex, How are you? It's great to hear from you after almost a year! Thank you so much for the positive words about our program. We hope you are using your Road2Argentina TEFL certificate to the fullest! Let us know if you are ever back in BA! Saludos, Eden
Retail Sales and Production Associate
December 19, 2014by: Jared - HamiltonI worked with Patagonia Berries a jam company located in Buenos Aires. I worked in the office and visited clients around Buenos Aires. I really enjoyed the experience as it was a great group of people to work with. I also really enjoyed what I did in interacting with clients and also helping with the production side in looking at the different processes and seeing how I could help. It gave me insight into what culture was like in Buenos Aires and helped me think about what I wanted to do in the future.
Hi Jared, Glad to hear you got the most out of your time here in Buenos Aires. You definitely had a special internship and really got deep into the Argentine and Uruguayan culture. Happy belated birthday! Hope all is well in Canada! Saludos, Eden

I came to Argentina with Road2Argentina and they have been greatly helpful throughout my stay. I have enjoyed meeting new people from all around the world and gone to some amazing places. I was able to go to Mendoza, Iguazu Falls, and part of Patagonia. These places and Buenos Aires itself have been incredible and Road were helpful in organizing some of the trip. They have also organized different activities around the city every weeks, which have been very interesting to me because I was able to learn about the Argentine culture and hung out with people from all part of the planet. Overall, I have had some of the best experiences of my life here in Argentina.

Aventura de Buenos Aires
November 28, 2014by: JulesB - AshevilleI had a great experience in Buenos Aires! During my first week, I was convinced that I may never fully find a way to maneuver myself through this seemingly chaotic city. However, with the help of the Road2Argentina staff, many many friendly portenos, and a lot of trial-by-error experiences, I eventually began to sort things out. This city is huge and has lots of interesting areas to explore. I think some of my best memories I have are from when I simply threw on my running shoes and ran around, seeing new parts of the city and often times sitting in a park and simply observing the culture. My teaching internship was definitely a fun learning experience as well! All the teachers at San Tarsicio were so welcoming and kind, and the students always approached me with an abundance of excitement and curiosity. I really enjoyed witnessing the differences between Argentinian schools and the public school system I attended back in the U.S. Overall, I loved my experience here. It was everything I hoped for, and many things I hadn't even dreamed of!
Jules - We're so glad you were able to enjoy your time here and overcome your initial "culture shock". You were a pleasure to have here and we hope you come back again one day! -Eden
English Teaching Assistant Volunteering
November 27, 2014by: Tosh - Kansas CityProgram: Volunteering and Spanish Immersion with Road2Argentina
I am almost finished with 4 weeks of assisting with teaching English for 2 to 3 hours a day at a school in Buenos Aires through R2A and my experience has been great! The R2A staff has been wonderful to work with and always helpful if I had any questions. I also decided to take Spanish classes as part of the program and had a good experience with the classes as well. Between R2A and the Expanish school, I feel that I had a nice support network to help me deal with the challenges of being abroad alone. I booked a homestay through R2A and am happy that I made this choice because it gave me an opportunity to practice Spanish in a safe environment and enabled me to better experience what life is like for those from Buenos Aires (Porteños). Also the homestay was well located in a safe neighborhood. Overall I enjoyed my experience with Road 2 Argentina and would not hesitate to recommend it to those looking to volunteer in Argentina.
Tosh, We're glad we could be of help for you during your stay with us and make you feel a little more at home. We're also glad to hear that your homestay lived up to your expectations and you were able to practice lots of Spanish there! Good luck in future endeavors and hopefully we'll see you again one day! Saludos, Eden

November 25, 2014by: Isabela - Carbondale, ILMy experience is Buenos Aires was very satisfying . Since the first time I contacted Road they were always very nice and available for any question or any thing I needed. I was placed in a great homestay where I was able to speak and practice more my Spanish. The company I did my internship was very welcoming and it is a very good place to work at. And every week Road has meeting and/or events for us, which helps us experience more the city and the people here.
Isabela, It's great to hear that you had such a great time here in Buenos Aires with us! If you are ever come to visit again, please be sure to let us know! Tell Brazil we said hi! - Eden<br/>
Internship in Buenos Aires
November 21, 2014by: ElBuitre - washington dcRoad2Argentina helped arrange my internship and overall it was a good experience. My site was very relaxed and I was able to help out with a lot of translation and maintenance of the organization´s basic materials. I also had the opportunity to meet and network with other organizations in Argentina. The program was very responsive when there were issues and my needs were met with little hassle. Before the program be sure to do as much research as possible into housing, to be sure that you are placed with the option that works best for you. There were many weekly activities (I didn´t choose to attend many) but the ones that I did attend were enjoyable, and free!
El Buitre - Thanks so much for your review! I'm glad you had a positive experience here in Buenos Aires. Enjoy your travels in South America and maybe we'll see you again some day! Saludos, Eden
Sales Intern at Bairexport
November 12, 2014by: Reydetango23 - Avon, INBuenos Aires is an awesome city, with always something to do. I did a semester long internship with a small consulting firm. I worked mostly with sales, selling our services to clients who could potentially sponsor us and our events. Working and doing business in another culture was a great experience. My Spanish improved dramatically, speaking it all day at work and with friends outside of work. Road2Argentina was very helpful in getting me down here and making sure I had a positive experience in getting the most out of the city!

Overall my experience in Buenos Aires is one that I will never forget. volunteering in the Villas was an incredibly rewarding experience which was complemented by the extensive and fun activities coordinated by Road to Argentina. The program allowed for an indepth appreciation for life in another city rather then just as a traveller, it allowed me to get a feel for what its like to live abroad.

Buenos Aires Zoo Internship
August 07, 2014by: samsam - AustinI interned with the Condor Conservation Project at the Buenos Aires through Road2Argentina and it was incredible. I didn't except to get so much hands on experience with the animals and their care but I was pretty much a zoo keeper. I learned a ton about conservation and animal care and behavior while at the same time working towards perfecting my Spanish. The workers their were incredibly kind and welcoming and taught me a lot of Spanish- I never felt self conscience about my ability to communicate in another language because they were always very patient with me. Overall I had a wonderful trip and would do it all again in a second.
We're so glad you enjoyed your placement at the zoo and that we surpassed your expectations. Thank you so much for your nice review and please come say hello the next time you are in Buenos Aires! -Eden
Great way to experience Buenos Aires!
August 01, 2014by: Kathy - Pittsburgh, PennsylvaniaI loved doing this program with R2A! I ended up with an awesome internship through Road, and they coordinated an awesome homestay. It was great to have them as a support system. Me and my friends hit a lot of road blocks, and it was nice being able to seek out help from Road whenever we needed help in a situation. Road also coordinates a bunch of awesome events, and introduced us to other foreign students in Buenos Aires. I definitely recommend it!
Kathy, I'm glad you had such a great time with us. It's very rewarding to hear your comments and I hope you know you will always have friends in BA! Saludos, Eden
The Best
July 31, 2014by: Sara Bruce - ColumbusMy experience with Road2Argentina was amazing. I have studied abroad before but my time in Buenos Aires was definitely superior. Road was accommodating in every way whether it was a health concern, homestay question, or just questions about the city.

Hospital Internship in Buenos Aires, Argentina
July 31, 2014by: AK - NashvilleI really enjoyed my internship at Hospital Rivadavia. Working in an environment where there were little to none English speakers. Being immersed in this environment helped improve my listening and speaking skills. In addition, my homestay was incredible and the staff was very helpful in helping me adjust to life in Buenos Aires. I would recommend this program to a student looking for a medical experience in a Spanish speaking country.
We're glad you enjoyed the hospital and your time here, AK. Best of luck in your career and hopefully we'll see you again in the future! -Eden
Leaning In To Discomfort
July 30, 2014by: Brooke - Washington, DCLiving in Buenos Aires is something that is definitely going to push you to your limits. From the very distinct culture to the slower pace of life you will be forced to exist outside of your comfort zone. I learned this rather quickly with my marketing and communications internship at an NGO in Buenos Aires. Before I arrived, I had imagined I would be working 9 to 5, nose to the grindstone, and spending each moment in the office analyzing data and working productively. After two months it is apparent that my preconceived expectations were shattered. While I certainly learned a lot about communications, marketing, and interning in a foreign country, I learned more about myself both as an employee and as an individual. My work at Voluntario Global forced me into tasks that I was not completely comfortable with doing or that I thought I would have success with. Back home, I would balk at such assignments and shift them off to someone else with a proper skill set. However, at my internship, I was constantly forced to lean in to the discomfort of not knowing everything about a project at first but accepting my tasks and learning as I go. I had to break with my very American mindset and embrace the culture as well as the work style, too. In sum, I am so grateful for the experiences I have had both in Argentina and at my NGO internship. Never before have I been so pushed to my limits and never before have I learned so much. Leaning in to discomfort is something everyone should do as it shatters expectations and makes you grow!
Thanks for your sincere review, Brooke. I'm glad we were able to help you resolve some initial discomfort and I know you will always look back on this experience as an important one in your life. Hopefully it will be one of the most fond memories too. Good luck with your career and feel free to let us know if you need anything. Saludos, Eden

Good times
July 25, 2014by: Jamie Beanedi - Springfield, VirginiaI had a great time in Buenos Aires. I fortunately came during the World Cup, it was an unforgettable experience to see the excitement and energy of a whole city united in support for their national team. Everyone was very kind and let me feel welcome in a foreign country. I also ate a lot of steak and spent time with new friends from the road program. The road staff was always on call when needed and which made me feel more secure during my time here. My intership was great, I spent time doing everything from working art exhibitions to visiting Palermo hotels and doing sales work. I designed flyers for the art gallery where I worked and got to enjoy the creative aspect of public relations. Homestay was also phenomenal.
Jamie, I'm so glad we were able to help you feel more secure during your time here. It was great getting to know you and watching you catch World Cup fever! It's great to hear that you enjoyed all aspects of your program. Good luck in future endeavors! Saludos, Eden
TEFL certification course
July 25, 2014by: Katie - Frederick, MarylandThe TEFL course experience provided me with a great deal of detailed knowledge about the English language and exposed me to practical teaching tools and methods that I was able to implement in a real classroom setting. This particular loction also allowed me to get to know the culture of my learners and what it is like to communicate in a foreign language. What I have gained through my relationships and experiences here, and meeting the people that I have, is not only valuable feedback on my teaching but also unforgetable memories.

July 21, 2014by: German - Washington D.C.I can honestly say my experience in Argentina was nothing short of incredible. I traveled to Buenos Aires with the hope of gaining international work experience, exposing myself to Argentine culture, and improving my fluency in Castellano. I am part of a program at my school that requires me to complete a semester-long internship, plus I am a Spanish major, so I thought, "Why not hit two birds with one stone and go to Argentina?" Also, going abroad, or at least off-campus, is highly encouraged at my school, so I always knew I would try to in some way, shape, or form.
