What inspired you to work for your organization?

Working at Road2 Argentina has been an enriching experience for me. I've spent a lot of time with international students and travelers from all over the world. Doing that, I've learned a lot about other countries and cultures.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Meeting new people and making new friends is what I like the most about my work. Since I contact and talk to every one of the students of our program, I've heard a lot of stories and we receive good reviews all the time from them.

What advice would you tell your pre-travel self?

I would advise them to keep their minds open to the new adventure. On the best experience we had was from a student (Eleanor) from the UK. She loved the program so much that right now she is making preparations to come back and work with us at the company. She really understood our values and she shares the passion that we have.

What makes Road2Argentina special?

What makes our company unique is the personalized attention that we offer. Road2Argentina offers 24/7 support to all the students in our programs and that is what students like the most about us.

Why should someone choose Road2Argentina over competitors?

We spent a lot of time with them doing Weekly Group Activities. That is a huge part of our program and we really care about offering the best immersion experience for them.

What is your organization's mission and how do you continue to work toward it?

The biggest factor in being a successful company is that we have fun doing our work. We really enjoy and love to do what we do. As we really like working here, the students at our program can tell and see that the experience is real and genuine. That is what really makes the difference and what makes our program unique.

If you could participate on one of your organization's programs, where would you go and what would you do?

I would definitely do the internship program. We offer a rich variety of fields and placements. That is the best program that we have and I would apply right away.

Why is it important for people to travel abroad and experience new cultures?

As young people, most of us have a pretty established comfort zone. At home with mom and dad, in a community that has known you for probably a good part of your life. Being in a new place, with different people, who hold different values and go about life differently (or not so differently you may find) strips all that familiarity away.

Why do you think learning a new language is important?

Foreign languages provide a competitive edge in career choices: the most important aspect is that it allows you to communicate in a second language (In this case, Spanish).

What advice do you have for individuals thinking about going abroad?

Studying abroad is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I would advise students to Make Local Friends, Set Goals Beforehand and Just go. Don’t think, don’t hesitate. It will change your life forever.

What does meaningful travel mean to you?

I visited Peru with my girlfriend and it was an amazing experience. The people of Peru are really friendly and the places I visited there were incredible. It's one of the most interesting trips I’ve ever made. What made it meaningful was meeting new people from another culture.

I am part of a program at my school that requires me to complete a semester-long internship, plus I am a Spanish major, so I thought, "Why not hit two birds with one stone and go to Argentina?" Also, going abroad, or at least off-campus, is highly encouraged at my school, so I always knew I would...
