Join Projects Abroad's General Building Project in Nepal, which is a wonderful chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of children as well as on communities affected by the Gorkha earthquake in 2015, which injured more than 20,000 and killed almost 9,000 people. Together with a team of other young volunteers, you will work under the guidance of a skilled mason and civil engineer and take part in various building activities. These include mixing cement, digging trenches, and painting. Throughout your time in Kathmandu, your group will stay at a hotel. Everyone will enjoy social and cultural activities in the evenings. These are organized by our local staff for enjoyment after a long day of work. Over the weekend, you will travel t...
Program Highlights
1. Live and work with the people at a local community in Kathmandu.
2. Meet teens from different parts of the globe and make lifelong friends.
3. Contribute to a building project aimed at improving homes and local infrastructures damaged by an earthquake in 2015.
4. Visit Chitwan National Park, a preserved area in south-central Nepal famous for its biodiversity and considered home to rare mammals and various wildlife.
5. Receive 24/7 support from our local staff.
