HCISR-Hellenic Center for Interdisciplinary Studies&Research

The Hellenic Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and Research (HCISR) is an independent nonprofit organization based in Athens, Greece. HCISR develops academically rigorous, interdisciplinary study abroad programs that connect classroom learning with the social, cultural, scientific, and professional environment of Greece.

Our programs combine faculty-led instruction, specialist workshops, case-based learning, supervised site visits, and cultural experiences. Areas of study include health sciences, nutrition, public health, rehabilitation, ethics, history, and culture. Through partnerships with healthcare, academic, nonprofit, and community organizations, students engage with real-world perspectives while learning in Athens.

HCISR provides a supportive and structured learning environment for international students, with an emphasis on academic quality, experiential education, student wellbeing, and meaningful engagement with the local community.

Programs are developed and delivered by HCISR in Greece, with U.S. academic credit provided through Arcadia University as the School of Record.
