Forum-Nexus: A Positive Undergraduate Experience

March 26, 2026by: Steve Tran - United States

Program: Ultimate Summer in Europe: 5 Countries in 1 Month

5

I had a really good experience with Forum-Nexus overall. The program gave me the chance to travel a lot, meet great people, and learn more about different countries in a way that felt interesting and personal. I liked that the staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotels were some of the best I’ve stayed in. Some visits were better than others, but the overall balance of academics, free time, and cultural experiences made the program worth it. I’d recommend it to other students, especially if they want to make friends and grow through travel.

This summer abroad program was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had as an undergraduate.” “It was thoughtfully organized, with a great balance of academics, cultural exploration, professional visits, and enough independence to grow on my own.” “The instructors were engaging, knowledgeable, and encouraged real discussion, which made classes feel useful beyond the classroom.” “I especially liked being able to connect what we learned to our travels.” “The staff was welcoming and supportive throughout, and I’d absolutely recommend the program to other students.

I believe if any student can participate in this program, they should take real advantage of it. They offer a lot of subjects, Economics, Art, Business, Culture, Design, Sociology, History, Political Science. The knowledge one gain is massive and in a lot of disciplines. I am really happy to participate the connections i made is totally worth it. Forum Nexus staff are very knowledgeable, they know what they are doing. not to mention that they are easily approachable and always prepared for any problems could occur.

Forum-Nexus Study Abroad: A Marathon of Excitement

My time with Forum-Nexus was fast-paced, exciting, and educational. It was the perfect mix of classes, studying, sight-seeing, socializing, and learning first-hand. I learned a lot from the International IQ class and it prepared me to visit each city on the itinerary. My hospitality internship allowed to me communicate and network with the international hotels and restaurants we stayed at and visited. Forum-Nexus allowed me to step-up and take advantage of being abroad.

Joining Forum-Nexus was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. Traveling across Europe while taking classes gave me a unique blend of academic learning and cultural immersion. Every city brought new perspectives, professional visits helped me understand international business at a deeper level, while group activities and friendships made the journey even more memorable. The program pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me adaptability, teamwork, and global awareness. I left with stronger career skills, a network of friends from around the world, and countless memories that I’ll cherish forever.

I am so happy, I will be recommend it to everyone at my home place. It has been so cool to basically have a guided yet laid back tour across Europe. You are all amazing, perfect balance of there to support us but still give us tons of freedom. Went to 2 professional visits, but they were super cool. felt I learned a lot and they were interesting. The independent cultural visits were encouraging us to get out and see the amazing sights is perfect. It made me appreciate where i was so much more. The accommodation was amazing!

Mixed Experience

February 20, 2025by: Yasmine G - Canada

Program: Ultimate Summer in Europe: 5 Countries in 1 Month

Participating in the Forum-Nexus Study Abroad program was a mixed experience. While it provided some great travel opportunities and decent academic options, there were significant issues that made it difficult to fully enjoy the program. One of the most glaring problems was the lack of diversity amongst students. The overwhelming majority of participants were from the southern United States, making it feel very insular. Additionally, there was a noticeable absence of people of colour, LGBTQ+ individuals, and politically progressive students. The program had a heavy presence of conservative, highly religious individuals: some of whom expressed extreme views, including transphobia, misogyny, racism, and homophobia. The experience of being told that “the devil plants a seed in queer people” was beyond unsettling. One program leader did make an effort to ask me how they could work on diversifying the program, which I appreciated. However, the lack of action and the continued alienation of non-conservative students made it feel like more of a token inquiry rather than a real commitment to change. The leadership of the program was inconsistent at best. While one of the leaders was available to take walks with a student who was struggling with personal conflicts, this support felt somewhat inappropriate. Furthermore, professionalism was lacking amongst some of the leaders. Three out of the four brought their spouses along, and while one spouse contributed a useful lecture in their field of expertise, the others felt like they were enjoying a vacation on our dime. It was frustrating to see our already high program fees seemingly subsidizing their expenses. One of the lecturers was knowledgeable and engaging, but his temperamental outburst in France, directed at students because he was frustrated with someone outside of the program, was completely unprofessional. Students deserve respect, and this kind of behaviour is unacceptable. Additionally, while the program staff provided some assistance with logistics like sightseeing recommendations, there were moments when help felt inconsistent. For example, when a student’s laptop broke, while a program leader did attempt to fix it, no one offered to assist this student in finding a repair shop in a foreign city. The costs associated with sightseeing were another frustration. Despite the already high program price, we had to cover all entrance fees for attractions, making the trip significantly more expensive than initially advertised. The professional visits were hit or miss. Some were relevant and insightful, but others, like a jewelry store visit, felt completely disconnected from our studies. Despite these frustrations, there were positives. The hotels were generally high quality, the course options were good, and the locations we visited were stunning. I managed to make a couple of close friends who became my lifeline amongst the stifling conservatism of our group. The recommendations provided for sightseeing and local attractions were also helpful. Forum-Nexus has the potential to be a great study abroad program, but it is plagued by serious issues in leadership, professionalism, and inclusivity. If the program wants to be truly global and welcoming, it needs to diversify its student body, ensure a professional and respectful environment, and provide more transparency on costs. Until then, I would caution students, especially those who are not conservative, religious, and/or American, to think twice before enrolling.

It helped to open my mind and learn how to navigate being alone in another country. Also introduced me to new experiences. I loved the staff. I particularly loved the energy that Hugo brought as well as his wisdom. Professional visits were unique experiences that gave us opportunities not everyone would get part in. Hotels were really great. My level of international IQ certainly improved. I also have new perspectives given we have also seen the countries that we learned about first hand. I have much more of a grasp on the understanding.

Independent cultural visits went well. as expected. many of the ICVs were things i planned on doing. I was unimpressed by the professional visits they felt very uninteractive. Organization needs improvement, sticking to the syllabi. I am happy that I came here I have made amazing friends and I have been able to visit places that I would never have ever known about. IT was a great experience but somehow expensive for my budget.

It was amazing!! Hugo is so much fun and informative. I always wanted to travel and this made it so much easy for me to do it! It was my first time and I wasn't alone. Loved the cities we went to: Barcelona, Amsterdam, Greece, Milan, Lake Garda, Paris. Hotels were very nice. Classes were little long but very informative. I really enjoyed Laura as a professor, at times it was little stressful having to talk about things with no prior knowledge but she was amazing and have to stay in touch. I learned a lot for future professional endeavours.

I'm very happy I chose to participate as I got to see so many countries and made friends with a bunch of new people. I had a great time exploring Europe and learning about its culture. Amsterdam was my favourite! Professor Ed clearly loves what he teaches and and has a deep passion for history. I learned a lot about the EU which also helped me explore the countries better. The Independent Cultural Visits were the best part about classes as it made me do more exploration in my free time. The program director is very fun, energetic and lively.

The ultimate summer with Forum-Nexus was an experience of a lifetime! I met incredible people from all over the world that turned into long lasting friends and teachers that turned into mentors. As a student athlete in college it was never possible for me to study abroad for a semester due to my training schedule but FN was the perfect program to enable me to experience the abroad study experience in one month. I loved the unique experience of moving from place to place while studying because I like to "do it all." Dr H always gave us the local tips and insight to travel with confidence, not to mention the best sites to see so we would hit the ground running and maximize our time. From helping me earn credits for my graduate degree, to inspiring my career with the professional visits, I'll never forget my summer with FN!

Forum-Nexus was so fun and the best way to go abroad!! Because of covid spiking early in the year, FN decided to stay in 1 country for the summer, but we traveled to multiple cities and it was amazing! I love that the program is (usually) multi-country and multi-city, because you can see so much of the world and experience different cultures. This summer we went to Rome, Florence, Milan, Lake Garda, and Venice. It was so fun and each city was so different. We also were able to go on weekend trips if we wanted and I went to Croatia which was so cool. The professors are so nice and accommodating. Yes, you have school work but it is manageable and they understand that traveling the world and new experiences outside of the classroom are important too. You have the freedom to do what you want in your free-time. The professional visits were also really cool! They are to interesting places like the Gucci Museum in Florence and a gelato factory in Bergamo. The hotels were also super nice and the breakfast was so good too. I traveled with some high school friends and FN accommodated us so we were in a room for 3 every time and we all had a bed, not a cot or anything. Thank you Forum-Nexus for the best summer ever!

Forum-Nexus was everything I could have asked for in a study abroad program and more. Not only did we have to opportunity to visit so many beautiful cities in different countries around Europe but they did a fantastic job making sure we really experienced the culture of each city. We were lucky enough to attend professional visits to huge international companies and were encouraged to visit as many museums and cultural sites as possible. The people I met during the Forum-Nexus program were what really made this experience so special. I entered the program without knowing a single person and left with a huge family. I had no idea it was possible to meet and make best friends in 4 weeks. All of the professors and directors are so helpful and encouraging and put me at ease before and during the trip. This program was the most amazing experience of my life and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone interested.

My summer with Forum-Nexus was absolutely life changing. I had the opportunity to be a Management Intern with them during the summer and take two classes. This program is really one of a kind. From the start they were super helpful with any questions I had, from helping with things from packing lists to suggestions on activities. I left the states not knowing anyone and quickly met some friends that became my family. There is such a great balance between class and free time to explore the cities you really get a feel of the local culture. Before I finally chose to go abroad with Forum Nexus, I was searching for an abroad program that was best suited for me. I could not find a good match till I heard about Forum Nexus. This program stood out to me because it was a program that was not affiliated with my school and had a smaller group of people that I would be traveling with. Once I had off the plane in Amsterdam I was freaking out and worried I would make no friends, but right when I got to the area where Forum Nexus was standing they welcomed me with open arms. I already felt at home. As the trip went on I started to get to know everyone better and it felt like we had all known each other our whole lives. This program brought me some of my best friends that I will keep in touch with for the rest of my life. I shared unforgettable memories with them that I won't be able to share with my friends back home. I was able to travel and explore different countries and cuisine, shop, go to museums, and relax while taking classes that taught me about the places I was in. We got to stay in nice hotels and explore/learn about many different companies. This program is a one of a kind and I would highly recommend it to anyone would is looking for an amazing study abroad program.

Studying abroad with Forum Nexus was by far the best experience I have had to date! I thoroughly enjoyed traveling with the students and staff and all the international IQ they opened my eyes to. The best experience I have from participating in this program is being able to enter a new country without knowing anything about the place and not being scared or frightened to go explore because of the encouragement from the staff and teachers to embrace the new country and to take in as many new things as possible to fully understand the culture of that country. I highly recommend participating in this program! Not only will you get to travel to new places but you will also make new friends that quickly become family and also gain a firsthand experience in new cultures.

Forum-Nexus was even better than I was expecting. I expanded my knowledge in the marketing industry while also getting the opportunity to bond with new people and explore new places. It's difficult to visit the different countries of Europe within a short time period, however, Forum-Nexus made it easy and fun. Traveling days were the times that we really got to bond with all the other students on our trips; which was great. Forming these bonds made our experiences and adventures that much better. Class was enjoyable because we were able to relate what we were talking about to what we were doing and seeing in each city. It was the perfect trip for growing as a student while also getting to see more of the world. I also know all the capitals of the countries in Europe thanks to our international seminar class! Forum-Nexus rocks!!!!!

Three things to know about this program: 1.) It's worth it. Whatever reservations you may have, even if you're a shy and anxious person like me, trust me that by the time you're on your flight home it'll feel like a week at most has gone by and you'll want to book a flight back. 2.) It's a program that is largely hands-off with how you spend your time. Of course you'll have to dedicate some time to your work and studying, so keep that in mind, but by and large you're left to your own devices when it comes to how you spend your day. So make plans for yourself and with the other students. 3.) The best part of this program isn't the lodging, the scenery, or the things you'll do. What made this program the best travelling experience of my life was the people I spent it with. Don't be shy in getting to know everyone before you fly out. Meet up if distance allows for it. The other students and the staff are what makes this program what it is. All of the staff members are incredible, and you'll get to know them well too. Don't be afraid to ask questions or anything like that. Like the title says, you'll get as much out of Forum-Nexus as you put in. Put the effort in to go out of your comfort zone, meet new people, and plan your days together. You'll thank yourself when you get home.

I was so blessed with the opportunity to travel abroad to five European countries with Forum-Nexus. It was the best decision I have ever made. Forum-Nexus gave me more than enough. This is the best program that lets you take useful classes, visit awesome companies and organization, and travel. International Marketing class was so much fun. I am sure that you can never learn at your school. International IQ seminar made me have intelligence. One month sounds too short, but you have a plenty of time to do whatever you want to. I got to meet so many friends from different places and different backgrounds. This one month was incredibly wonderful. Life changing experience every single day. I learned a lot, enjoyed a lot, ate a lot, walked a lot, and laughed a lot. The professors are knowledgeable and the staffs are friendly and super helpful. I am so thankful to be a part of member of this awesome program. I will never forget this good memories and be the best time in my entire life. This is what you need to do during summer. I recommend you to sign up for Forum-Nexus right now!

Forum Nexus is a unique program, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Really what's not to love? You stay in premier hotels, possess adequate free time to visit historical sites, landmarks, or anything you desire, eat authentic European cuisine, visit extraordinary places like the UN, make great friends, and receive college credit. As it is a study abroad program, I can assure you that the amount of work was appropriate. Personally, I had time to go hiking, paint balling, white water rafting, daily sight-seeing, and time to relax on the beach in Rhodes while managing work. That said, if you don't manage your time accordingly then you will struggle in class. Additionally, the professors and other students are all really cool. If you're going, I highly recommend you inquire about restaurant recommendations from either Hugo or George. They know Europe like the back of their hands.

Forum-Nexus is a great program. The staff, and professors are amazing. As you travel form city to city they are with you, and available to answer any questions you may have. It was great taking courses and increasing my education through the classes, but also by being able to get to know each city we were in. I had never been to Europe prior to the program, and it was amazing to be able to experience it for the first time with Forum-Nexus.

Choosing to study abroad with Forum-Nexus was easy for me because I loved everything that they described on their website. Little did I know that when I left the United States, I would experience all they had promised and so much more. I can confidently say that no other study abroad group offers such a wonderful program. The professors were fabulous and made learning fun and interesting. Everyone on staff was extremely helpful and made sure that we had the best experience possible while abroad. During the trip, it was clear that Forum-Nexus had thought about every detail so that things ran smoothly. I am so thankful for Forum-Nexus giving me a once in a lifetime experience!

This summer I worked as a hospitality management intern for Forum Nexus and it was the most rewarding experience of my life. I was able to visit so many amazing cities while learning about different hospitality practices around the world. I was able to meet so many amazing hotel representatives and learn about why they chose to pursue a career in hospitality. Each and everyone of them were inspiring and motivating. I learned so much about myself and what I want to do with my future. If you have the chance to study abroad I would 100% recommend Forum Nexus, wether you want to explore an internship or just take regular classes, you will not be disappointed.

This was no joke the coolest summer. The students were amazing, the classes were interesting, the companies were inspiring, and we had so much fun. I think it is important for one to loosen up and really take in Hugo's (the program director) energy and mission. He wants all of us to love the world and focus on life's positives.

Forum-Nexus was the best decision I have ever made. This program is so unique in that there is something for everyone. There are courses available for all majors, and there are destinations that will captivate everyone’s tastes. Whether you are a lover of the busy city streets or a quiet small town in the mountains, you will see it all. I gained so much international experience as well as such an appreciation for cultural differences. The classes were interesting, relevant, and put me ahead on my track to graduation. The staff members are so intelligent, fun, and help make you feel safe / comfortable transitioning into an international setting. There is so much time to balance social activities with studies. I was able to explore the night life in each town, go on independent excursions, and bond with other students in the program. I left this trip with an entire new network of best friends (many of which I still keep in daily contact with) and I feel more excited than ever to continue traveling and expanding my cultural intelligence. There are scholarships available so take advantage of them and go abroad with Forum Nexus! You will not regret it.

Forum-Nexus offers so many amazing opportunities for people who want to see the world and make new friends! It works for people who have a picky check-list of things they want in a study abroad program: a lengthy amount of time in the summer, traveling throughout Europe, with a great group of students from all over who want to meet new people and see new things. The main cities in the program are excellently chosen because they are so unique and provide so much balance. You get to see big busy cities, fun laid-back cities, and even smaller hidden-gem cities and towns. The classes are fun and super informative across every city you visit, and you get to walk outside the hotel and see everything you've always heard of. Then you get professional visits that give you a unique perspective of the cultures and industries, and there are cultural tours to show you the significance of each place throughout history. Forum-Nexus is also the perfect blend of structure and flexibility, so you can follow the group for activities or go on your own for afternoons and weekends. You get to really cater the experience to what YOU want, and Forum-Nexus is there to ensure you get the most out of it! In my travels with Forum-Nexus, I gained so many new skills for adapting to new environments and relating to people from different cultures. Forum-Nexus is perfect because it's fun but you grow so much as a person, and it opens up your world so much! Forum-Nexus works because it's so great that it pulls in amazing staff and students. The staff is passionate about raising your international IQ through learning opportunities, but they also care about giving you time to enjoy the cities. I feel so connected to the world from traveling, meeting people, seeing landmarks, learning about the history and culture and technology, and loving every second of it. In just a few words, Forum-Nexus is: dynamic, adventurous, quality, family.

I had the time of my life studying abroad for 5 weeks with Forum-Nexus! We toured to so many iconic destinations, historical landmarks and beautiful countries in such a short period of time. There was always something to do and see every day, and there was never a dull moment during the entire trip. The staff and Hugo were full of infectious energy all the time and they were incredibly helpful with everything leading up to and throughout the program. The entire program was very organized and safe, and overall very well put together. Forum-Nexus offers something for everyone interested. The classes were all extremely interesting and relevant, and the professors were very engaged. What you learn in the classroom carries into where you’re touring that day and the professional and cultural visits were all incredible and a unique aspect to Forum-Nexus. I met some of the best people on this trip and I had so much fun every single day. This program is truly one of a kind and it was absolutely amazing. Be prepared to dance and sing every day and have the time of your life with Forum-Nexus! I really couldn’t recommend this program enough!

If you think about it, how many countries have your friends visited? Personally, all my friends have only visited their home countries, and maybe even Canada and/or Mexico. In just five weeks, I was able to visit more countries than my friends probably ever will. I come from a place where everyone is stagnant and everyone sees themselves growing up in the same exact hometown with the same exact people. They do not seem themselves as risk takers, and so I obviously became the same. Life for me was going to medical school, moving back to my hometown, and then raising a family that will do the same. Now, it's completely different. I don't want anything to do with my hometown anymore. This program literally changed my life and I cannot thank them enough. Everything about it was perfect because of how much we experienced. Within a span of five weeks, I was able to visit the FC Barcelona Soccer Club, saw an authentic French chef cook me dinner, visited the UN in Switzerland, saw the Sister Chapel, and relaxed on the beaches of Greece. Every single day was filled with adventure and I cannot think of any other program that would give just as an amazing of an experience.

I was a part of 2015 FN program and I still constantly think about the amazing experience I had! What I really liked about Forum Nexus is that you can customize the experience to your travel preferences. There is a good variety of class offerings and because the program goes through multiple countries, you can visit a lot of different cities (or stay in one place and dig a little deeper, as I did!). A special shout out to the staff of Forum Nexus--they work tirelessly to make sure each student has a great summer. Feedback is taken seriously and the team is very committed to making continual improvements. I highly recommend this program!!

Forum Nexus is GREAT! They provide so many opportunities in every new place you go from professional visits to guest speakers to weekend/day drips! They schedule in a lot of free time which is great for everyone because you can do whatever you like. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR FREE TIME! Academics are a breeze, no stress with them at all. You can choose to pay attention and engage, and you'll actually learn a lot of cool and relevant things. The people on the programs are really what made the trip. Such a diverse mix of people that as long as you were willing to put yourself out there, you will find a group! I highly encourage going on the trip without knowing anyone. This is definitely a more pricey way to see a lot of europe and get some school credits, but it honestly is worth every penny and you can see from all the experiences/hotels/events where all your money goes. One suggestion.. go on the weekend trips they provide and avoid flying to a different destination just for a weekend. Wastes a lot of time traveling and, trust me, all the places they take you are great. If you really want to see some other place in Europe that the trip doesn't go to, just go extend your trip a few days before or after the program. I spent an extra 4 days in Athens with another girl from the trip (prearranged on Facebook) and it worked great!

Forum Nexus offered more to me than I ever could have expected. I went in to the program nervous and shy, by excited for what was to come. Within 24 hours of arriving, I had made friends that I felt like I had known for years. The program does an INCREDIBLE job making sure you get some cultural immersion, and the program director, Hugo, is really passionate about culture. Before each country, we learned about the history, language, geography, and culture. When we arrived, we got to sight-see with the group and on our own, so you get to personalize each experience. The academics are fabulous, with world-class professors who travel with you and not only teach you but get to know you. I would do Forum Nexus every summer for the rest of my life if I could.

I was an intern for Forum-Nexus Study Abroad, and initially, I wasn't sure what to expect. I have heard of other people's experiences from studying abroad and all of them were positive, but I wasn't sure how I would handle being that far away from home. After spending a month in Europe with this program, I consider everyone involved part of my family. This was a once in a lifetime experience and I have Forum-Nexus to thank for that. This program is one of a kind. Forum-Nexus' uniqueness is what makes it incomparable to other study abroad experiences. I highly recommend anyone who is considering studying abroad to apply to FN. This experience was amazing. For 4 weeks, you attend a school with a moving campus and visit many different cities and countries in Europe. I was worried before I left that I would not feel super connected with any one place, but I was wrong. Instead, I feel connected with about 7 or 8 new places I had never been before. I got to hike the French Alps, swim in the Aegean Sea, ride a gondola in Venice, visit the Coliseum, and get college credit all at the same time. In class, you are surrounded by students from all over the world receiving education from professors all over the world. The experience is eye opening, and you never stop going, but you never want to! The professors are incredible, and travel with you the entire time. This allows you to connect with them in such a fun way, and you get to see the world with them! I made lifelong friends through this journey, and I would not change a thing.

If you're looking for a summer with unforgettable views, friends, food, and experiences Forum Nexus is just what you're looking for. I've always had a dream to go abroad, but was afraid I couldn't do it because of the commitment to leave for a whole semester. This summer program was the perfect alternative. I got to see most of Europe in a month. It was just enough, but not too long. My favorite part of the program was meeting people from all over the States and from different countries as well. I learned more than I ever could from just sitting in classroom.

Studying abroad has been something I felt like I needed to do in order to truly complete my college experience. The hardest part of trying to decide where to study abroad is that you think you have to pick only once place, and that you’ll have to spend a whole semester in that one location. With the Forum Nexus program, you can do so much more. Forum Nexus gives you the ability to see and study in 5 different countries in just over a month. This program instantly appealed to me because I would be able to see and learn about so much of Europe, rather than just one city or country. I have to admit; it almost seems too good to be true when reading about the program. However, I can attest first-hand the program is everything it promises to be and so much more. The other students as well as the staff are some of the most amazing people you will ever meet in your life, and traveling and learning together with them will create an experience that you will take with you for the rest of your life. This program taught me so much, both in the classroom and out of it, and I recommend it to all of my friends who are interested in studying abroad. At the end of the program, there is only one thing to say: This, is FORUM NEXUS!

Attending the Forum Nexus program this summer was the best decision that I made. You get to travel different European cities along with taking classes at renowned universities. Especially for the students who didn't get the chance to study abroad, Forum-Nexus is the best program for them. I got a chance to explore the European culture and the traditions which people follow in different countries. Apart from that I got a chance to interact with students coming from all over the world sharing different ideas and having different perspectives. The classes which we take are not at all boring and stressful. This is because of the experienced faculties who also travel with us throughout the program. Along with studying throughout the weekend I took many Forum-Nexus organised day trips and weekend excursions to different cities. The staff members are so friendly and are always ready to help. The director of the program, Dr. Hugo, is such a fun loving person that you don't even feel that you are on a educational trip. I highly recommend this program to everyone who didn’t get the chance of studying abroad. At the beginning you'll start as a stranger but later you'll end up as a family, the Forum-Nexus family!

This past summer I decided to study abroad after my freshman year of college. I was traveling alone and I was a little bit nervous to be in Europe for the first time all by myself. When I first met everyone from Forum Nexus, all my worries instantly went away. I've never met a more welcoming, friendly, and fun group of people. Age or where we came from did not matter. In one month I did as much as possible between interesting classes, professional visits, and sightseeing. I really enjoyed going to classes because we learned so much useful information that will stick with me forever. I couldn't believe how fast everyone became not only friends, but family. I left Greece with so many experiences, a different outlook on life, and 4 college credits. Choosing to be a part of Forum Nexus 2016 was one of my best decisions, and if I could go back and relive it all again I would love to! Best summer yet!

Spending my summer with forum-nexus was more than I ever could have dreamed of, honestly. The opportunities that came during and after the trip are seemingly endless. While on this trip, I gained lifelong friends from all around the world who I still talk to weekly and visit. There is nothing like getting connected with businesses and corporations from all over the world and getting to see the inside scoop, which is something unique Forum Nexus has to offer. Traveling from city to city made it never boring, to say the least. I learned such an immense amount in such a short period of time--and not just about my major, but life skills in linguistics, cultural communication, and attitudes toward trying new things. The professors make the classes on this trip fun because they are so personable, knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. The classes go along with the countries that we visit, so it is all very relevant and interesting. The environment of our group on the trip was like nothing else I had ever experienced. The trip gave me a close-knit group of diverse people, something which is difficult to find anywhere. I have nothing but good words to say about this program and the experience it gave me.

This program was a wonderful experience, though be prepared to plan a lot yourself. You are in class for most mornings and some afternoons, but all the other time is yours! The classes are meant to make you think, but they are not too difficult. As long as you attend class, pay attention, and study for the midterm and final, there is no reason you wouldn't pass with flying colors. The most surprising this to me was that there was a lot of independence with this program. The advisors were there to help if you needed it, but no one held your hand and showed you around Europe. It was up to you to see everything! Taking advantage of the weekend trips and sightseeing after classes is 100% worth it, so make sure you make the most of it by planning before you go and booking tours and such. The cultural experience is amazing since you are not only in Europe, but you have tons of students and professors from other countries traveling with you. Some of the best friends I made were from countries other than the U.S., and they helped me to learn so much!

I had an awesome time studying abroad with Forum-Nexus. We saw a lot of really great cities. One of my main priorities when looking for a program was looking for one that offered Graduate level credit, as I was not able to study abroad until I was in graduate school. I also wanted a program that was multi-country, and was long enough that I could see a variety of places, but short enough because I could not be away from home for an entire semester. The one month of this program was perfect for me!

When I tell people that I visited 14 cities in 6 countries last summer- and all of the stories that come with those visits- most of them assume I'm talking about a stretch of time spanning two or even three months, but never just the one month I was actually there! Considering everything the FN team packs into their program, I don't blame those people at all. Between taking two full-length classes, and attending the dozens of professional visits to places from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris to the UN in Geneva, there was never a dull moment- but I still had plenty of time to explore the cities with all my new friends. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking for a life changing experience this summer!

This was the greatest experience of my life. When I was trying to figure out which study abroad program to go on, I wanted see as many places that I could in the time that I would be away. I looked over tens of programs and then my roommate suggested Forum Nexus. I looked at the list of places that the program offered and it immediately seemed obvious which program I should go on. Most of the other programs offered one or two cities in another country for about 2 months. When I saw that Forum Nexus offered six countries in 4 weeks, I knew that this was the program for me. It gave me the chance to see so much of Europe and since it was an international program, I made friendships with people from all over the world that will last me a lifetime. I still talked to all of the friends that I met from the trip daily in a Forum Nexus group chat to this day and I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to go on this trip. This is an amazing programme that gives you a great opportunity to experience so much of Europe and develop a real sense of being a global citizen. The teachers are amazingly clued in to the culture of each city we visited and the classes give a really good grounding in communications, marketing, and the economics of Europe. I would recommend this programme to anyone who wants to broaden their mind, their understanding of Europe and who also wants to have a great time.

You will certainly learn a lot from this program, mostly about culture differences and the professional visits were amazing. The Academic program is not really the focus of this program but rather the fact that you get to see the work environment of Europe as well as deal with different cultures and eventually discover more about yourself.

Participating in the Forum-Nexus study abroad program was a life-changing experience that opened my eyes to the world and different cultures. The program offers you a great education, the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, and the freedom to travel and enjoy Europe at your own pace. Rarely does a day go by that I don't reflect and smile about my Forum-Nexus experience from the summer of 2014. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have participated in the program.

I had plenty of very memorable experiences on this trip. Among my favorites were going to the top of Mount Blanc in Chamonix, France and taking in the most breath-takingly beautiful view of my life. A large group of students and myself went atop this mountain over 8,000 feet up and were able to look out over the French Alps and the town below. It was incredible relaxing and so beautiful. In that moment, I knew how fortunate I was to study abroad. One of my other favorite moments was witnessing my first Greecian sunset in the island of Rodos. It was another beautiful scene that I will never forget as long as I live. I choose Forum-Neuxs because it offered an expansive travel itinerary of Europe and in a decent amount of time that still allowed me to return home with some summer to spare. My main problem in choosing a study abroad program was deciding on one place to go, but with Forum-Nexus I was able to see a little bit of many different, beautiful European cultures. Forum-Nexus put us in some of the best hotels in Europe. Every place had high ratings, was spacious, clean, and a safe environment. Prior to traveling to Europe, I had been warned that European hotels and small, cramped, and not a good place to keep valuables. However, this was never the case in any of the hotels we stayed in. I was very pleased with every accommodation arrangement.

Forum Nexus ties in all the right components to a study abroad program. The entire program is very well put together and very organized. The program met all my expectations and more. I can honestly say I had an overall amazing time. I was exposed to real world experiences in my field while being able to travel and enjoy each cities landmarks and night life. I'm pretty sure I'm joining them again next year to do it all over again!

My month abroad in Europe with Forum Nexus made for the most memorable summer of my life! Studying abroad had always been at the top of my “must-dos” list for college. In five weeks I was able to travel through five different countries and eleven enchanting cities (optional weekend trips). This was my very first trip out of the United States and I couldn’t imagine traveling with a better group of people. Forum Nexus had the most professional, friendly, and knowledgeable staff and professors, and the other students were so interesting and culturally diverse. It was an amazing feeling to be surrounded by others who were as passionate to travel as much as myself. Overall every single country was amazing and had something beautiful and unique to offer each person. I learned so much about Europe, it only fueled my desire to learn and travel more. I made great friends who I still keep in touch with and will carry these memories for a lifetime! I absolutely recommend Forum-Nexus to any college student looking to travel, learn about other cultures, and have an incredible fun and enriching summer!

This program is full of valuable components both for professional development and for human self-enhancement. With the hope to participate in it next summer, I have lots of memories to think about for a year ahead starting from our exciting meeting in the airport of Barcelona to farewell tears in Rhodes. I wish everyone to have such an exciting experience! I've dreamt about studying abroad, but found a marvelous chance to combine it with life-changing traveling, super internship and fun with wonderful people from all over the world. Everywhere we went, we had the excellent accommodations with all the facilities and perfect surroundings. Even hard studying and working there turned out to be a real pleasure.

Now I know for sure that dreams come true! Having become both the student and intern in Forum-Nexus Summer 2014 Program, I've jumped in the atmosphere of amazing experience, priceless knowledge, breathtaking emotions and lifelong friendship. After the chain of all pity events in Ukraine, our wonderful trip was the ray of sunshine for me. I gained a lot of cognitive knowledge from our highly qualified professors and learned a bunch of practical know-hows during most interesting professional visits. The International IQ classes taught by the program director , professor Hugo Hervitz(one of the coolest people I've ever met), not only boosted my IQ but inspired me for further constant exploring of the world and its cultures. I fell in love with every single place we've visited with Forum-Nexus family and every moment we've lived together. This program brought me lifelong happiness!

I am Greek, and have constantly been asked have you ever been? Sadly until this summer I had to always say no. Now, after attending Forum-Nexus I can say that I have traveled to one of Greece's most beautiful islands, Rhodes. Being able to immerse myself in Greek culture, the language, the food, and the people is an experience I would never change for anything else. I attended a meeting at my Study Abroad Office and set an appointment with one of the advisors because I had no idea where to start. I wanted a program that traveled to different parts of Europe as a group as well as visited Greece as one of the stops along the way. My advisor told me about Forum-Nexus and I was hooked. It provided me with the perfect opportunity! The accommodation were very amenable. Each stop we stayed in 4 or 5 star hotels! My favorite was the Rhodes Sheraton! It overlooked the ocean and you could see Turkey from your balcony! Each location provided luxury and convenience to the main attractions of the stops. Public transportation was the easiest way to get around the cities and each hotel was located very near to a bus or metro station.

My most memorable experience was our party in the last few days in Rhodes. I was upset about the expected leave, but someone told me to keep smile. That is the sprit of Forum-Nexus: keep happy and optimistic. Because no one knows what will happen in the future as we did not we could meet such friends in FN. I love you guys. All of you are my most memorable experience. I chose this program because I want to experience a multicultural environment, All the hotels were very well, comfortable and in good location.

My most memorable experience was visiting Chamonix, France. The French Alps are breath taking and you can't stop starring at all the natural beauty. You can take a gondola to the top of the mountains and just sit for hours and the ice caps. After looking for so long I felt like I was just looking at a painting and it wasn't even real, that's how amazing that place it. Its always been a dream of mine to travel Europe and I never thought it was possible until this program. When else am I going to get to travel through 13 cities in 1 month? Now, I can pick a certain country to go back to and spend more time there. We moved about from hotel to hotel. Each hotel was 4-5 star hotels. I was comfortable in each place we stayed and always got a good nights sleep.

I had always wanted to study abroad during college. Until this past summer I had never been outside of the United States and Forum-Nexus provided me with the opportunity to do just that! I was able to see many parts of Europe in a safe and enjoyable way in just a little over a month! Forum-Nexus has become one of my fondest memories and I catch myself talking about different things that happened throughout the trip constantly! I created relationships with people from all over the United States, Egypt, China and England! How many people can say that? Not many. The teachers were approachable and very knowledgeable about cultures and business, and made learning fun! I enjoyed every aspect about this program, and hope to one day soon be able to go back to Europe and experience more cultures and environments!

Forum Nexus is an unforgettable experience . It gave me the chance to visit several European countries and learn about their cultures. From the academic point of view: Classes were very useful. In the marketing class, I learned the different tools European countries use to market their products, and how these tools change from one country to the other, which helped me in my career since i am a marketing major. The professors were also very friends and were always available for help in and outside class. From the social point: I met various students from different nationalities and backgrounds and made life time friends, which led me to start seeing life from a different perspective and enjoy every moment. Hence, forum nexus is an amazing learning and fun experience that I definitely recommend to other students.

Getting the opportunity to be part of Forum-Nexus in the Summer of 2013 was quite simply one of the best things to happen to me in recent times! Studying abroad had long been a thing on my list of things to do and this is certainly the way to do it. As a grad student with no background in business in marketing, the courses themselves did definitely teach me a lot and combined with the great relationships formed with the students and professors created an incredibly useful program overall. Adding to that the fact that this took place as we traveled across 7 cities in Europe, the experience is one that I will certainly cherish for a lifetime along with the unforgettable memories and friendships forged in such a short period of time.

Since my first year of college, I had wanted to study abroad. I had been on two different month long programs but I was looking for a multi country program. I found Forum Nexus and thought it would be the perfect program, which it was. For four weeks through Forum Nexus I was able to travel throughout Europe and visit Barcelona, Paris, Geneva, Chamonix, Milan, Rome and Rhodes. Each city was unique in its own way. Part of the study abroad was taking a class. I took Cross- Cultural Communications which was a sociology class. There was never too much work and enough time to explore each city. I can honestly say that I left each city with no regrets and was able to see everything that I wanted to see while making time to study and relax. I made life long friends from the US, China, Egypt and Canada. I will never forget this amazing experience that has made me want to continue traveling and exploring new places. This is an experience that I will never forget!

This study abroad program is truly an amazing experience! When I first found this program I almost wondered whether it might be too good to be true. The ability to travel to seven European cities over one month while completing coursework that was part of my curriculum was like a dream. I had always wanted to travel to Europe and also wanted the experience of studying in another country as I knew this would greatly benefit me in my future career endeavors. Many study abroad programs take place in one city and if students want to travel elsewhere they would need to do so on their own on weekends. What was great about this program offered by Forum Nexus, is that you are studying as you travel. This makes the learning experience all the more valuable as the professors incorporate cultural information specific to each country into their teaching. The other fantastic part about this type of study abroad program is that you are traveling across Europe with a large group of students who are just like you! They want to see the world, learn more about other cultures and get the most out of this study abroad experience. The friendships you will make during this journey will be ever lasting and since students travel from all over the globe you may have the opportunity to learn about countries other than those you are traveling to. I LOVED my experience with Forum Nexus Study Abroad. Academics: Classes were taught by very knowledgeable professors and were very informative. Living Situation: The hotels we stayed at were fantastic, far surpassing my expectations! Program Administration: The director and supportive staff were very enjoyable to be around and helpful when any questions would arise.

At first glance, Forum Nexus seems as if it is too good to be true! I've done a few study abroads and exchange program however none of them come even close to this! It's a whirlwind of a trip and each day is completely different and better than the last. The bonds I have made on this trip with everyone are unlike any other friendships and each day I have to pinch myself because it seems completely unreal. Forum Nexus was the experience of a lifetime. The greatest part of this program is the diversity it brings. It is not just simply a cultural immersion program in the sense that you are overseas, but also because the student body is extremely diverse. My classmates included Colombians, Egyptians, Indians, Moldovans, Greeks, etc., so each classroom experience was just as eye opening as traveling about the cities. This is what truly sets this program apart from using a traditional study abroad program, and I wouldn't trade those relationships or experiences for a thing! I have no problem sending my loan pay check every month =)

Forum nexus was a great experience, it taught me so much in a very short period of time. The study abroad program was organized in a way where everything a student needed was there. The professors, staff members, and organizers, took their job very seriously allowing the students to learn and enjoy their time as well. I took international marketing and cross culture and was capable to grasp and understand the material very well, putting in mind that the professors come from very prestigious universities. Adding to that, it was mandatory to take an iq class, and honestly this class helped me so much, before going to forum nexus, I barely knew anything about history and geography. This course allowed me to open up my mind to new information about the history of the world I live in. I honestly didn't expect to learn this much in a vey little time. Adding to that even though, I took two courses, I was capable of enjoying the city and meeting so many people around the world that became long life friends. Throughout the program, the students I was with, became like my second family. I was capable of enjoying different cultures by traveling around to different countries and cities.

We were at Poland during the Euro 2012 so it was so intense and hyperactive! The people were really great! I was also able to visit Slovakia and Hungary; the architecture there is a must-see! In Germany we visited the BMW manufacturing plant. It was very informative as well. The best part was getting to meet people from all over the world, in very culturally-different countries. I'd definitely do it a 3rd time!

My Forum Nexus Study Abroad experience has not only been a highlight of my college experience, it has also played an important role in my overall education. The lectures are always interesting and the whole class participated. I had classmates from different cultures explain their cultural point of view and we all learned from each other. Also, the program allowed me to learn about international business from a more hands-on approach. By visiting factories, plants, and businesses across Europe. They help you learn to apply classroom teachings to the real world. Studying abroad opened my eyes. Not only did I see a new culture, but I also learned that culture's view on the rest of the world. I experienced new friendships, traveled to exotic locations, had tons of fun! I would highly recommend studying abroad to all college students, no matter what major they are pursuing.

A review on Forum Europe Winter Break: Understanding European Business, Politics and Culture

Program: Ultimate Summer in Europe: 5 Countries in 1 Month

5

Studying with Forum Nexus remains one of my most transformative life experiences. I studied with the organization during the 2010 winter intersession, traveling throughout Spain, France, and Switzerland. However, I grew from this experience so much that I studied with the organization for a second time in South Africa during the 2010 summer session. This program is unique for several reasons. Firstly, it is a traveling course. This means you learn from extremely well-informed and educated professors of whom are reputable leaders in both the academic and professional capacities. However, since learning takes place in the morning, you have the rest of the day to explore the country with the friends you will meet. In addition to an extremely wonderful academic/travel balance, the directors of the program are exceptionally well connected and will introduce you to executives of leading businesses and institutions. Professional visit locations include the World Trade Organization, UNESCO, the United Nations Headquarter, BMW, and more. My favorite aspect of the program, however, is truly the type of friendships you will develop. Although we all wish we could travel every continent, limited resources are a constraint. However, by bringing together students from every continent, you get a taste of the cultures fostered in each region of our world. Furthermore, you'll find compatibility amongst the fellow students you travel with as a shared appreciation for travel and realizing our common humanity is appreciated amongst all. It is my honor that I now work with Forum Nexus to bring to others the eye-opening experiences and perspectives Forum Nexus introduced to me.

Program: Ultimate Summer in Europe: 5 Countries in 1 Month

I had an amazing experience traveling with Forum Nexus. We were somtehig like 70 people (students and teachers) traveling around Europe (Barcelona, Paris, Swiss Alps, Venice, Athens and Turkey), sharing ideas, getting to know different cultures and partying even on the bus and train! The whole experience was enlightening, fun and something to remember. You have to live it! Either in their summer or winter program (the summer program is longer! hehe)

All three of my older brothers participated in study abroad, and from their experiences and adventures, I discovered my inspiration to have similar adventures. One of my brothers went back to the country where he studied abroad and continued his postgraduate education at a local college. He now lives and works there because he took a chance on studying abroad and found his future.

I was inspired by a deep curiosity to experience the world beyond textbooks and classrooms. I’ve always believed that education doesn’t end within four walls—it lives in the streets, in conversations, in history, and in the cultures we immerse ourselves in. I wanted to challenge myself by stepping into unfamiliar environments, discovering new perspectives, and building a sense of global belonging. What inspired me most was the desire to connect with people, hear their stories, and allow those encounters to shape who I am becoming.

I was inspired to go abroad by my mom. She studied abroad in college and always spoke highly of it. I knew I wanted to do something similar, and a friend showed me Forum-Nexus and I was so excited!

In high school, I participated in a program with 25 other girls and a few faculty members. We spent about 2 weeks in France and Italy and I absolutely fell in love. Ever since that trip, I knew that I had to study abroad. In college, after a few major changes, I chose hospitality and after learning more about different aspects of the industry I was drawn to the travel and tourism industry. My dream job at the moment is working as a travel director/ coordinator and studying abroad just seemed like the best opportunity for me to gain experience and knowledge of international travel.

What inspired you to travel abroad?

I do it because it’s amazing! Getting to travel with students from all around the globe and helping them to explore the world is the most enriching experience I can have. I have been working with Forum-Nexus for more than two years and I have learned a lot both professionally and personally throughout my experiences being a part of the staff team.

What inspired you to travel abroad?

I initially became involved with Forum-Nexus as a student intern in 2014. Being able to travel internationally for the first time and also work behind-the-scenes with the FN team changed my professional and educational path for the better. I decided that I wanted to help other college students have the same amazing study abroad experience as me, which led to me joining the core Forum-Nexus team shortly after my summer abroad.

Ever since I started college, I wanted to study abroad. I feel that a lot of students don’t take advantage of studying abroad and acquiring international experience. A lot of adults or recent graduates I talked to say their biggest regret from college was not studying abroad. I knew if I didn’t, it would be one of my biggest regrets as well.

In high school, I had the chance to tour across Italy with a group of peers and I found that I loved that style of travel; it instilled the travel bug in me. I knew that Freshman year, no engineering firm wanted to hire me since I had no experience. Coming into college, I had wanted to study abroad so I just took the leap and started packing!
