What inspired you to go abroad?

I have a passion for travel and exploring, so I knew I wanted to study abroad at some point in my college career. I wanted to see parts of the world that I had never seen before, while traveling with a group of students my age.

Why did you choose Forum-Nexus Study Abroad?

When I found Forum-Nexus I knew it was the perfect program for me. It was the best way for me to study what I wanted to study, while visiting nine amazing cities. I wanted to make the most out of the month that I had to study abroad and Forum-Nexus allowed me to do that.

What was your favorite part about traveling to nine cities?

My favorite part was being able to explore lots of popular cities in Europe.

What made your experience abroad unique?

The group of people that I was traveling with was amazing. The staff was so talented and prepared, which made my trip so much more enjoyable. I also loved the professional visits that we had in each city. I was able to visit several influential European businesses during my time abroad!

How did local staff support you throughout your program?

They helped organize so much, and they were always available to help us.

What's one thing you wish you would have done differently?

I wish I had seen even more cities than I did. We traveled a lot which can be overwhelming at times, but you can sleep when you get home! Travel as much as possible.

Describe a typical day in the life of your program.

We would wake up, eat breakfast at the hotel, and then make our way to class. Some days it was at the hotel, other days it was at a local university which was incredible and such a fun way to learn in a foreign country. After class we would either have free time to explore the city we were in, or we would have an organized professional visit. The professional visits were super fun, a couple highlights were "Le Cordon Bleu", France 24 news station, and The European Union building in Geneva!

What did you enjoy doing on your free time?

In my free time, I loved to explore the back roads of the cities. I liked walking to different boutiques and stores to experience what the culture was really like. I went to a lot of museums, as well as popular places in each city.

What was your accommodation like? What did you like best about it?

At Forum-Nexus we had great accommodations. We stayed in a hotel in every city and all the hotels are either four or five stars, so it is very nice. All the hotels are located near public transit so it’s easy to get around. Plus, they are all safe and comfortable. Forum-Nexus does a great job of researching each place we stay.

What is one thing every participant should know before participating in your program?

It is going to be a lot of traveling in five weeks but it is the most fun and rewarding trip you will ever take. You will meet so many incredible people from all over the world who are in the same position you are in. The teachers will teach you so much and you will be able to learn so much about new cities and have a greater appreciation of this beautiful world that we live in.

Now that you're home, how has your time abroad impacted your life?

It has made me more aware and thankful for my experiences. It also allows me to understand what is going on in the world when it comes to news and updates.

Would you recommend Forum-Nexus to others? Why?

Yes!!!!! I could not recommend this program enough. I learned so much about myself and the world, and I have a new appreciation for travel.
