Awesome experience with a fantastic company

Had an excellent experience with China Study Abroad in Beijing at BLCU. They are a smaller company, offering boutique, crafted experiences for a relatively reasonable price. I liked how you could be involved with the staff/other students however much you wanted to, but weren't forced to participate/check in etc. It could be an independent experience if you wanted. Of course, tapping into the CSA community meant making lifelong friends and feeling a sense of belonging in an otherwise unfamiliar place. :) BLCU itself was an interesting learning environment, I made friends from all over the world. I also befriended a few Americans but it was a nice change of pace to hang w/ internationals. Would recommend the program to anyone who takes their Chinese seriously!
Go on journeys abroad Beijing... It's very useful and funny.

Because professors are very good and lessons are very interesting, I think I'll come back. I'm enjoying my self and I'm learning a lot of things.
Beijing is the place to study.

There are very seasoned and good Chinese language teachers here in Beijing. It is a place where cultural immersion is up to you. It is a great place to practice and learn Chinese.
Be prepared for a shock!

Lack of orientation, good food, and English speaking public. It will be extremely difficult to adapt. But loving the Chinese language immensely helped me overlook the above mentioned obstacles.
Go with an open mind!

Good teaching, really nice university -- but have to work hard to make the most of it.
I'm not keen on China but I'd definitely come back to BLCU.
