Bali Beyond Borders Winter 2024/2025

From the moment I arrived, I felt embraced by the warm and vibrant culture of the Balinese people! The Bali Beyond Borders program is impeccably organized, ensuring every student gets to maximize their time in Bali while fostering personal growth and cultural immersion. I was honored to be a part of the inaugural cohort of the Bali Beyond Borders Fall 2024 program and the academic education I received at Undiknas Pendidikan Nasional Universitas University was enriching, blending globally relevant coursework with local perspectives. The program coordinators, professors, and staff were incredibly supportive, ensuring our safety and happiness, while encouraging us to step out of our comfort zones and embrace the moment. They created an environment that challenged me intellectually while encouraging creative thinking and collaboration. Beyond the classroom, the program truly excelled in offering cultural experiences that go above and beyond. From exploring stunning beaches and rice terraces to visiting traditional markets and sacred temples, creating Hindu offerings, and witnessing Kechak dances, every moment offered a deep connection to Bali’s rich culture, natural beauty, and local way of life. What sets this program apart is its commitment to creating meaningful connections. I’ve met incredible people from all over the world, my classmates were from Finland and Malaysia and we have formed friendships that will last a lifetime. Every day brought new adventures and memories as we enjoyed the unmatched beauty of Bali. Bali Beyond Borders didn’t just provide me with an opportunity to study in a breathtaking location—it gave me a new perspective on life, an appreciation for cultural diversity, and the confidence to dream bigger than ever before.
