Study Italian at the NRCSA Center in Florence, which enjoys a great location with many ancient structures nearby. Join the numerous students travelling to Florence to learn the language, and to experience the amazing Italian culture. Approximately sixty percent of the students at the Center are aged 17 to 30. Majority of the students are professionals looking to further their careers. The second largest group is made up of University students. The rest of the students are retirees who are interested in expanding their knowledge and in immersing in the local culture.

Our varied course options offer you the perfect balance between learning Italian and exploring the country’s culture. Select from two language lesson options to customize your experience: 1. Standard (20 lessons weekly) Group classes focusing on grammar and conversation are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 12:30 pm, with a coffee break between sessions. 2. Intensive (30 lessons weekly) Groups eager to dive deeper into the Italian language can enrich their study plan with additional afternoon sessions, from 1:15 to 2:45 pm. These supplementary sessions further enhance your language skills, providing invaluable reinforcement.

The NECAFlorence Program provides a unique opportunity to study, earn university credits, and experience Italian culture firsthand. Interdisciplinary courses based on experiential learning at NECAFlorence are designed to stimulate students’ interests and to challenge their way of thinking. Small group courses assure a high level of individual attention. Highly-qualified teaching staff. Throughout your stay, you will gain an intimate understanding of Italian and Florentine culture and life. Students must be over the age of 18 to join. Non-traditional participants should contact NECAFlorence for eligibility details. The NECA Scholarship Program has been developed to assist highly motivated students (enrolled in 2-year or 4-year institutions) and adults with academic merit and/or who do not have enough financial resources.
