Projects Abroad is the lead organizer of volunteer placements overseas, working hard to place you in a project that fits your interests and where your skills as a volunteer will most benefit the local community. Through a diverse range of projects, plus the opportunity to become part of one of our local communities overseas, this volunteer placement will change your life while you work to better the lives of those around you. Our experience and stability will give you a true grass-roots experience. Our international staff and continual presence in the developing world ensures that your experiences will be far more worthwhile and genuine than those of the average tourist.
We offer volunteers a range of projects such as teaching, conservation, care, business, law, medicine, sports, archeology, veterinary medicine, journalism and language courses in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Fiji, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Peru, Romania, Senegal South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Togo, and Vietnam.

As part of the global economy, Projects Abroad helps create local employment wherever we send volunteers. Employing local staff overseas and using their talents and knowledge is important to us. This local knowledge and support enables the organization to channel the skills of the volunteers from more affluent countries to regions around the world where they are needed. Volunteers also learn from their placements and the people they meet, and they gain experience in a chosen field. In the 21st century, we believe this mutual respect is what cultural exchange is all about.
