The friendly, gentle nature of our guide, Vidal, was absolute exceptional. He watched over us constantly, and always ensured we were safe and happy, as well as extremely well informed about the Inca sites we passed. He - as well as the sense of achievement of reaching the 4500m summit on the second day - was the definite highlight of the 2 week program.
