This program offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on rural development and environmental sustainability. Based at an eco-lodge in Nkhata Bay, this Agroforestry Internship combines environmental sustainability and community development, providing an opportunity to promote sustainable agricultural practices and contribute to impactful conservation efforts. Whether you’re involved in the fieldwork and getting your hands dirty, or working on the strategic side to grow the organization - there’s no shortage of work to be done! Volunteer with Globe Aware: Malawi - Heart of Africa

Zomba District, our home base, represents a place of dreams, hopes, and opportunities. Zomba District Council, together with various development partners, aims to provide an enabling environment for men, women, girls, and boys to realize their potential and meet their social and economic endeavors. Some possible projects you may work on include laying bricks for a school building, assisting at a health post, or painting and molding bricks for community structures. You will likely spend two days a week working with children and the last day is divided between finishing earlier projects and cultural activities. The schools where you will volunteer only have half-day classes every Friday. On this day, you will help organize various youth programs such as sports, entrepreneurship skills, and art and crafts.
