The Online TEFL course was a big surprise to me once I got started. I did not expect such a comprehensive program, covering the depth that it did. As a complete beginner, not just to Teaching Mythologies, but also to online platforms and computer technology, I felt rather overwhelmed in the beginning. As I got into it, I realized that a great support system has been built into the entire experience, from start to end. There was always a trainer/facilitator available to me for any questions or assistance I needed. The learning platform was user friendly and easy to navigate, even for a "newbie". Loads of learning material and class observation sessions were provided throughout the course. The mythologies taught, proved imperative and extremely valuable when applying them to teaching classes during my practical assessment week. It was a tough, challenging course that was also fun and offering lots of room for creativity. I surprised myself with just how much I learned and gained through Maximo Nivel's TEFL course. Instructors were friendly, open to all questions and queries and most importantly, available! I did not feel at any stage, "left in the dark". The support system that is built around this program, is what I was most impressed by. Every student has immense talent to bring to the table. A solid support structure is essential to crossing the finish line or standing at the beginning of a brand new path. Great instructors, great communication, great challenge and lots of fun! I had an awesome experience and I would definitely recommend Maximo Nivel to anyone looking to gain their TEFL certification.

The TEFL program had a lot of information. There was so much to consume. I appreciated the live recordings of the classrooms and critique assignments that were a part of the modules. My instructor was consistent with their feedback and was always available when I needed them. I appreciate that they were accessible and responded quickly whenever I needed some assistance or extra feedback.

I have taken Spanish Lessons through Maximo Nivel and was already impressed with their student content as a Spanish language student. So, when I wanted to get my TEFL I thought I would give Maximo Nivel a try for that too. They did not disappoint! The online curriculum was engaging and approachable, the resources and tools provided were excellent, and I felt so prepared for my teaching week. The price couldn't be beat as well! I can't say enough about how impressed I was with their TEFL program. I am not presently looking to find employment using the certification, however my trainer made sure to let me know that he is my trainer for life and will be available to support when I am finally job hunting. He also provided me a glowing letter of recommendation which will be so vital downstream when I am looking for TEFL work.

I really enjoyed Maximo's TEFL course. I felt it prepared me very well for teaching English to non-English speakers, which is one of my passions. I had an exceptional experience taking the online TEFL course. The materials were made easy to understand, even for individuals who do not have a background in teaching. I really appreciated that the course covers some theory and practical approaches. This made the course feel very well-rounded. Since the course I took was online, you need to be fairly self-motivated to complete the course, but even those who may struggle with self-motivation the course displays a clear path to completion, which can be very motivating. I personally also really enjoyed the practical teaching section because it allows you to put into practice all that you learned throughout the course. The staff at Maximo Nivel are all great professionals. Especially Sean, I had a great experience learning from him. He is a knowledgeable teacher with many years of experience!

I had a wonderful experience getting TEFL certified with Máximo Nivel. Although the course material and assignments can be a bit rigorous, especially as someone working a full time job at the same time, I feel like it prepared me well for actually teaching. This course is ideal for someone who has a lot of other stuff on their plate, because it's self-paced and online. The modules took me about 3-4 months to complete, and then the practical teaching component is a week of online teaching with an instructor observing. Because you're working 1-on-1 with the instructor, you get detailed and personalized feedback on your work. All the staff that I worked with prior to enrolling in the course and throughout were so kind. All in all, I highly recommend this course for anyone seeking to become TEFL certifie

The quality of course material and knowledge and guidance of the instructors is unmatched. I was constantly challenged by the program- and supported in this growth by my instructor. This is a serious program that will leave you confident in your ability to effectively help learners in their language journey. I can't recommend this program enough!

When I signed up for the Maximo Nivel on-line TEFL course, I wasn't really sure how I would use my training. I am an older student and work full time in an administrative position at a university. Since then, doors have opened to put my training to use now instead of having to wait until I retire. I am a volunteer with our local literacy organization. Also, after submitting a proposal to my manager, I have started tutoring our international students as part of my duties at work. Amazing! If you build it, they really do come! Special shout-out to my instructor, Sean, who was very patient with my lack of confidence and my busy schedule when it came time to book my week of practice teaching. I did my TEFL courses online because that is what worked out best for me at the moment. It takes a lot of work, but it’s so rewarding at the end, especially during the practical teaching. I had a great instructor, Mackenzie, and he was always there to help me with whatever I needed. I really enjoyed this program!

I love this program, because I learned a lot how to teach students in an effective manner. I thought it was just giving information initially to the students enough to reach for the star ,but it turned out beyond the expectation -- eliciting the answers and examples turn out the most important element in the lesson. I love the patience and the valuable advice give by Sean. He is super professional that his advice can put you in the same shoes of the students. the lesson, the experience and the interaction of the students in the classroom shapes your path of an English teacher in the future. I took up the Maximo Nivel online TEFL course after A LOT of research. It seems the online TEFL world is full of scams, and Maximo combined the reassurance of learning from an established ESL institution with a great price. They really know what they're doing from seasoned experience in the classroom, teaching the same techniques that work for them in the institute. I know this because after completing my TEFL, I was offered a job in Cusco, Peru. It's been a fantastic opportunity to put what I learned into practice, and so I know fully well just how effective the teaching of this online course is.

If you want to get TEFL certified, choose to do it through Maximo Nivel. My personal trainer was named Sean, and he was probably the most helpful personal trainer I could’ve gotten. He always responded to emails and graded homework assignments quickly, and gave great, helpful feedback. The course is great; it’s comprehensive and teaches you a lot. I was worried that when the week of practical teaching came I wouldn’t be ready, but by the end of the week I felt ready to be a teacher. All the feedback was great. Maximo Nivel really puts a lot of effort into this whole program and they won’t let you down.

I did the full online course in three weeks followed by one week practical teaching. This way it was quite time intensive, but easy to understand. My Tutor was Mackenzie Tucker. He was very helpful with answering my questions and with his feedback in the practical teaching week. I was very happy with the course. It gave me confidence (and a greater desire) to teach English. The course seems structured in a way that it should be progressed through without long gaps of time. I asked for a schedule for 4 weeks and that helped. I would recommend to ask for a schedule at the beginning for a learning time under 3 month. If you progress slower you might have bigger challenges, since the course modules build one upon another. A great plus (and the actual reason why I did it in 4 weeks) was that I applied for Austrian Bildungskarenz and with the full time schedule it got accepted. Claudia and Mackenzie helped a lot to get all the necessary documents together to get it approved. If there is any Austrian, who want's to take Bildungskarenz and do a TEFL Online course as one of the courses, Maximo Nivel is the right place (tried it with other courses before and they would not have been accepted)

A well run, comprehensive course that covers everything you need to know before starting as an ESL teacher. The course takes a lot of time and effort to complete and you do need be properly committed to it, but it isn't overly difficult. The online material can be a bit dry and tedious, and isn't always engaging, but that's the price you pay for the convenience of online study. The highlight of the course was the 5 x 1 hour practical teaching classes with real English students. After finishing the coursework I didn't feel I was ready to teach a class, but after a discussion with my instructor, Sean, I decided to jump in. It went really well and the students were lovely. Sean was very encouraging and gave great advice throughout which enabled me to progress a lot across the 5 classes. After completing this course I definitely feel ready to begin working as an English teacher.

I completed TEFL online while I was travelling. It was very accessible via the app and engaging. Since completing I have found a job teaching English at Máximo Nivel in Cusco. Would highly recommend!!
