I really enjoyed my course with Máximo Nivel! I feel that the course prepared me well and gave me the necessary experience and support to become a successful teacher. It was intensive, however, very flexible, which allowed me to do this course while working full-time. I found the practical teaching part of the course particularly beneficial, as I received feedback after each of the five lessons and was able to reflect on the feedback to better teach my next lesson. My instructor, Sean, was very responsive and gave helpful advice throughout the course. Now that I have finished my course, Sean has also been very helpful and has given me lots of career advice and suggestions for jobs. I highly recommend Máximo Nivel for the online TEFL certification!!

I cannot recommend Maximo Nivel highly enough. The support all the way through was outstanding. The whole organisation is thoroughly professional and geared to support you through your TEFL course. The administration was faultless, the pastoral care excellent and the academic support given by Claudia and Sean as they led me through my TEFL course was outstanding. I completed a hybrid course, so learnt mainly on line but then spent time practical teaching in Antigua. Everyone was super friendly throughout and, as 53 year old UK teacher, I found the whole experience refreshing and life affirming! I completed my TEFL course a few days ago, and I have to say that MaximoNivel offers a very well-organized program. Each module was useful and insightful—I had no idea there were so many different approaches to teaching language until I joined MaximoNivel. To be honest, the module tasks were time-consuming and quite challenging, but they played a big role in shaping my ability to design lesson plans and teach all four English skills effectively. Before choosing Maximo Nivel, I did a lot of research into different TEFL programs. It was very important to me that I felt fully prepared by the end of the course, and Maximo Nivel offered a thorough, challenging program. The deciding factor for me was that Maximo Nivel is the only online TEFL course I found that includes a student teaching practicum. That experience was incredibly valuable and helped me feel much more prepared. The course also includes 10 hours of tutoring with your TEFL trainer, plus consistent support throughout the practicum and even into the job search phase. I was extremely nervous going into the practicum, but my trainer, Sean Barter, was incredibly patient and encouraging. The course modules are locked in sequence, so you can’t skip around or preview upcoming content. At times, I found that information from later modules would’ve been helpful for earlier assignments—but I managed to work through it. Some feedback on assignments can be a bit limited or confusing unless you take advantage of the tutoring sessions (which I didn’t), so I’d definitely recommend using them. Overall, I came away with a solid grasp of the material, and from what I’ve seen of other online TEFL courses, Maximo Nivel’s program is definitely superior. I’d recommend it to anyone who values hands-on experience and wants to feel truly prepared to teach.

After having searched on the internet to find the best accredited TEFL programme to attend - taking into consideration the reviews and ratings - I concluded that Maximo Nivel could offer me a well-structured course. Indeed, this TEFL programme offered me the necessary knowledge empowering me as an English teacher and making me feel confident teaching online. I acquired valuable knowledge and I enjoyed the practical teaching the most. Moreover, the support of the live trainer Mr. Barter through online meetings was invaluable helping me to improve my teaching methods and upgrade my online teaching tools. Finally, after the completion of this course I am so glad to continue to receive from Mr. Barter the valuable support - advice, material, guidance - for finding a job!

I enjoyed my course with Maximo Nivel, the material is well presented and easy to access, and the course is structured in a logical and easy to understand way. I initially worked with a different facilitator who was later replaced by Sean. Sean was super helpful and supportive and thanks to him I was able to structure the completion of the course with clear deadlines and goal. I spent quite a bit of time researching the best TEFL programs to take- a balance between something affordable yet reputable while also providing me flexibility to complete while I am currently in a full-time job. I am so grateful to have selected the right course! The online instruction was thorough yet flexible with time. I always had immediate support from the staff for any questions I had along the way as well as just friendly check-in's. I know I also selected this program because I thought the practical teaching would be beneficial to my growth and development as a teacher as well as receiving constructive feedback from the staff yet initially when I finished the online portion of the course, I got a bit anxious about the practical piece. I have to say, it was by far my favorite part of the whole course! I immensely enjoyed my week of teaching online with a great group of students. One of my friends recommended this course when I was pursuing my Tefl certification. It was just what I needed. I found the course clear, informative, and organized. It covered everything from grammar, learning styles, teaching methodology, technical skills for online classes, lesson planning, assessing learners, and more. Their mix of course videos, readings, listening activities, and assignments/papers were instructive and shaped my understanding as an English teacher. As a visual learner, the videos and images helped tremendously. I received support throughout the program from my Tefl instructor, Sean. He answered all my questions and was available whenever I needed help. A quick Zoom call with him at times was all I needed to figure out my lesson plans during my practical week of teaching. In addition to the aid I received, he shared helpful feedback after each lesson that could be implemented into my teaching. The Maximo Nivel online TEFL program was very thorough and well done. It definitely prepared me to be able to teach. I enjoyed the self-paced modules, video observations, and support. The ability to teach class for a week through their online program was a great experience. The program was challenging enough that you feel ready to teach in-person or online when you receive your certificate.

I'm almost 60 years old and haven't been a student in several decades. I decided to take the online TEFL course to have an option for a flexible part-time job to do during my retirement. I was completely intimidated by online teaching and had quite the steep learning curve. The course was challenging and definitely a Masters level course. Sean (lead TEFL trainer) went above and beyond to help me succeed!! I really can't say enough about Sean's dedication and caring. I didn't know how to use Zoom or Google docs, and Sean spent hours and hours and hours coaching me through navigating the new (to me) technology. I taught in person classes many years ago, but methodologies have changed drastically too. I am still not a huge fan of online learning platforms, but I learned SO MUCH taking this course. I am truly grateful to Sean for all of his help and encouragement. I decided to also take an in-person practicum in Peru so that I can continue to learn (in person this time) from my teacher/mentor! I'm looking forward to continuing my education with Maximo Nivel this winter.
