Spend a semester or academic year in the incomparable city of Paris, France, with AIFS Abroad! You’ll earn up to 16 credits per semester while studying at the Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne (CCFS), part of the University of Paris. Courses are taught in English or French—no previous French language study is required. Study-abroad students have many opportunities to impact the Paris community through volunteer work! AIFS Abroad helps arrange local placements with charities and organizations such as Les Restos du Coeur, which distributes food and hot meals to homeless people; Emmaüs, which provides literacy programs and leisure activities for disadvantaged children; and Secours Populaire, a charity that provides access to health facilities, education and food for those in need. Tailored for advanced and intermediate French speakers, this program is meticulously designed to foster maximum fluency while immersing students in the diverse academic and cultural tapestry of Paris.
