These projects study the complicated intersectionality of topics involving cultural heritage and identity, gender, politics, and more. Each is unique, offering a mix of in-class and field research with individual and group responsibilities. Outside of class, explore more of this fascinating region, from the multicultural city center to the surrounding rugged natural environments. You’ll also get to know Kiwi culture better through an organized orientation, cultural events, and support.
Program Highlights

Gain critical research skills in humanities-based subjects and earn credit while working with academics from the university’s Faculty of Arts.
Experience living in Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand, with its magnificent coastline stretching both to the east and west.
Appreciate access to our Auckland-based Resident Director and other in-country staff for continued support throughout the summer.
