Excellent program! One drawback though was the amount of work, many of us felt ‘over programmed.’ Please schedule coursework while still at SBCC. Also, Bali is a developing country that lacks the infrastructure (sewers, highways, garbage collection and recycling, renewable energy sources, public transportation, etc.) to handle tourists and SBCC study abroad only adds to Bali’s cultural and environmental problems.

My time in Bali on SBCC's Study Abroad program was easily the most enriching experience of my entire life. Bali just hit me in so many ways and left me in awe of the surrounding nature and culture. Bali is so unique and unlike anywhere else in the world, the geography, the culture, the atmosphere, everything is vivid and sure to please. To anyone questioning if they should go to Bali, the answer is... Absolutely! This program was very well planned out, organized, and lead by a group of great professors, I could not have asked for better leadership and expertise than what we had. The experience I had was one that will last a lifetime and I could not picture anyplace better for a Study Abroad program that highlights Marine Science, Cultural Anthropology and Geography. Bali hits these subjects out of the park, it leaves you fascinated and wanting more. Be prepared to manage your time well and be adventurous. One thing I discovered on my own in Bali is you never know whats around the next corner. Explore the temples and immerse yourself in a land with a rich culture, a great history, amazing architecture, and delicious cuisine. Last but not least Bali will teach you more about yourself, staying humble, finding your inner qualities, and connecting to the world.

The SBCC Study Abroad office was very thorough with providing information and responses were timely and very helpful. The program was a life changing experience and a very amazing learning experience!
