2 months Marketing Internship in Seoul

Program: Beauty/ SkinCare Internship in Seoul

Many thanks to the lovely people at Korea Gap Year for making my dream of an internship in Korea come true! They quickly matched me with a company that was a great fit. I learned so much about Korean culture from my colleagues, and I spent the weekends exploring Seoul and traveling with my new-found friends. KGY messaged me regularly to make sure everything was going well. I feel like they genuinely wanted me to have an enjoyable stay and make many memories. If you're thinking about doing an internship in Korea, I highly recommend getting in touch with the amazing KGY team! Everyone at the office was so welcoming and passionate about learning languages! So they started teaching me useful Korean expressions each day, and in return I taught them some German phrases. I remember coming home from work and surprising my Korean roommate with all the new words I learned.

I am so happy to have found this opportunity for to get an internship in Korea! I wanted to do an internship in Korea for a longer time, however as a foreigner with limited Korean skills, it was nearly impossible for me to do so and it was extra difficult. So i am really glad that I stumbled upon Korea Gapyear, who made my wish reality. I can recommend Korea GapYear to anyone since it is a great opportunity for personal and educational growth and they support and help you along the way.

KGY is amazing! I completed my internship in a company in Seoul, which was very important for my university studies. Without KGY it would’ve been very hard to find an internship place during the stressful exam period I had prior to the internship period. The communication with KGY went smoothly. Miss Olivia who handled my case was very helpful, patient and very friendly from the beginning to the end! She even helped me to get in a language class so I would be able to acquire more necessary language skills needed to get around more easily. After the internship period we got to visit the 경복궁 wearing 한복 which was amazing (see picture). I had no major difficulties and Korea is a very safe country! In conclusion, I’d recommend KGY to anyone who would like great assistance for their internship in Korea ^^

I've had my internship at Korea gapyear for 5 months. All I can say is that they're very lovely and warm-hearted people. I'm so grateful for meeting them and be able to spend the last 5 months with them. They always stood behind my back and were able to help, showed me all Korean things on a daily basis, tried teaching me Korean as much as they could and I'm very grateful for that. I've learned so much on personal levels by being here, but it was always comforting to know that these people would always stand by me and try their best to help me. They told me we're like family now and I'll miss them very much. But whenever im in Korea again, I'll surely come visit them many times:) I can only be positive about them! I really really had a great time at Korea gapyear.

Hello everyone, so I spent two months in Seoul,South Korea for an internship. These two months were amazing! I have met so many people from all around the world. I have discovered a lot about working in an office but I also got to help organize the Seoul Africa Festival and I have been invited to important events in fancy hotels in Seoul. During these two months I had the chance to visit so many places like palaces, themed park, traditional markets, rooftops, cute streets and cafes, even a huge music festival! To sum up I fell in love with the korean culture and its people!! If I had to do it again I wouldn't change anything at all. Thank you to Korea Gap Year and especially Olivia and Youjin for making this possible for me and making this life experience an amazing one!

I am Amber, french student in international trade and I had a two-months internship at Korea GapYear. Thank you very much to Korea GapYear and to all the staff for allowing me to do my internship in Seoul as I really wanted to. They have been very nice and warm to me since the very first day and helped me integrate into korean life. They have been really understanding and allowed me to gain experience, knowledge and try new things during my internship. Thank you particularly to Olivia who was my tutor during this internship and who helped me not only with my work but with the preparation of my stay in Seoul and my integration into korean culture. They've been really open-minded as I came while I was fasting and that made me feel even more comfortable working with them.

I would like to thank GapYear for help in finding a place for the internship. I could address to them in any question and problem. And they immediately tried to help me. In addition, they helped us not only before the internship, but also during it. Thanks to them, I got a great opportunity to go to Korea for an internship, for 2 months, which I had long dreamed of. Therefore, if you dream to go to Korea, and also get some experience, I advise you to turn to GapYear. They will certainly help you.

I decided to join the Beauty/SkinCare Internship in Seoul because Korea is globally recognized as a leader in the beauty and skincare industry. From the very beginning, this program felt like a valuable and rare opportunity to experience K-beauty firsthand, not just as a consumer but as someone working within the industry. Throughout the internship, I learned extensively about skincare product development, ingredient trends, marketing strategies, and the high standards that Korean companies maintain. The hands-on tasks and exposure to real business practices helped me better understand how innovative and fast-paced this industry truly is. Beyond professional growth, I was inspired by the passion and dedication of the people I worked with. This internship greatly expanded my knowledge, strengthened my interest in the beauty industry, and became an unforgettable experience that exceeded my expectations.

I had such a memorable experience during this program. One of my favorite moments was wearing a hanbok together with the other participants it truly made me feel immersed in Korean culture. I also met amazing people from different countries, and even with language barriers, we found ways to communicate and connect, which made the experience even more meaningful. Overall, this program was not only fun but also helped me grow, learn, and build friendships that I still cherish until today. I would definitely recommend it to future participants

A Meaningful First Step into Korea through a K-Beauty Internship

Participating in the K-Beauty internship program was a truly new and valuable experience for me. It was not just about staying in Korea, but about actually experiencing the culture and the working environment closely. One aspect I especially appreciated was the level of care provided throughout the program. The team regularly checked in with me during the internship. This made me feel supported and reassured while living and working abroad. Overall, I was very satisfied with both the program and the services, and at this moment, there is nothing specific I would suggest for improvement. I believe this program is a great opportunity for anyone interested in Korea and the K-Beauty industry.

Unforgettable Internship in Korea

I’ve always loved K-pop and the Korean beauty industry. Through a Korea gapyear, I had the chance to work as a marketing intern at a Korean cosmetics company. It was an unforgettable experience. Living and working in Korea felt like a dream, especially because I had only seen this country through media before. Being there in real life made everything feel more meaningful and exciting. What made this internship even more special was the people I worked with. My coworkers were incredibly kind and always willing to teach me new things. Even when I made mistakes, they patiently guided me and helped me grow. Through this experience, I not only learned about beauty marketing but also gained confidence and a deeper understanding of Korean work culture. By the end of the internship, I found myself dreaming of coming back to Korea to work again someday. One moment I will especially never forget is going to see Korean singers live in concert during my internship. Watching the artists I had loved for so long on stage, while actually living and working in Korea, felt unreal. Those nights were full of music, excitement, and happiness, and they made my time in Korea even more special. I believe these memories will stay with me for the rest of my life. If you are interested in Korea and the beauty industry like I am, I truly believe there is no reason not to join this internship!!

A Life-Changing Experience You Shouldn’t Miss!

I joined the program in Seoul for three months. To be honest, I was a bit nervous since I had never been abroad before—but it turned out to be an incredibly enjoyable experience. I spent most of my weekdays gaining experience at the company, and during afternoons and weekends, I had plenty of free time. There are so many places to explore in Seoul and around Korea, so I had lots of fun sightseeing and traveling. Whenever I had questions or needed help, the KGY team was always kind and ready to support me. Although it wasn’t a long period, I can confidently say it changed my life. Highly recommended!

I never thought I would have the opportunity to intern at a cosmetic company in Korea. 감사합니다 for helping me find a company! They treated me well, even when I couldn’t speak Korean at times. Two months felt quite short, but I will definitely come back to Korea one day!

The Korea GapYear staff supported me whenever I asked for help. Later, I realized that if my Korean had been better, I could have found the answers on Naver myself. But the staff always answered all my questions. Thank you. Although I wasn’t in Korea for a long time, it became a cherished memory in my heart.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I start my Program?

Most of our programs offer flexible start dates throughout the year, but keep in mind that once you have sent your Application and Program fee, you must wait for confirmation of your placement as well as your visa confirmation before organizing your flight.

Who is eligible to apply?

Anyone from 18+ who is curious about the world, enjoy new challenges. Priority is given to those who demonstrate open-mindedness, flexibility, and understanding of the meaning of “Team Work”. Or maybe you are a student who has not decided on a course of study yet but who wants to have some previous working experience before making up your mind can also apply.

What are the lengths of the programs?

The available program length depends on the specific program. Most programs are available for 4 to 24 weeks, allowing participants to choose the duration that best fits their schedule. For a more meaningful and rewarding experience, we generally recommend participating for 8 to 12 weeks or longer. If you would like to participate for more than 24 weeks, please consult with your program coordinator to discuss the available options.

Do I need to speak Korean?

It is recommended that you have at least an Intermediate level of Korean OR be fluent in English before starting your Internship. You will be working in a Korean-speaking environment. This is a very crucial barrier some students face. Not knowing the language prevents you from performing many activities so keep in mind that the more Korean you know, the more responsibilities you will be given and in turn, you will learn more.

How are the placements done?

Once you are accepted into our program you will receive a placement proposal according to your academic needs and your professional profile. That proposal is subject to the Host Organization's confirmation, based on availability when you apply, as well as on the information you submit in the Internship application.
