Mediatern - Content Creation Internship in Korea
by: Korea Gapyear
Interns coming to South Korea often do not feel engaged or entertained during their program. Therefore, KGY has designed a program focusing on entertainment and exploring Korean culture, language, and sights. This initiative involves a blend of workshops and internships, emphasizing video content creation to ensure that interns simultaneously learn and have fun. Experience the country deeply while developing content creation skills. Each week, participants tackle a specific theme related to South Korean culture and society. They attend a thematic meeting, create content, and present their work for feedback and improvement. Our Mediatern Program caters to individuals who are passionate about creating content that shows Korea’s various aspects and seeking an enriching experience outside of the office.

So grateful for this opportunity
July 10, 2026by: Carina * - GermanyI am so happy to have found this opportunity for to get an internship in Korea! I wanted to do an internship in Korea for a longer time, however as a foreigner with limited Korean skills, it was nearly impossible for me to do so and it was extra difficult. So i am really glad that I stumbled upon Korea Gapyear, who made my wish reality. I can recommend Korea GapYear to anyone since it is a great opportunity for personal and educational growth and they support and help you along the way.
5 months internship at KGY
July 07, 2026by: Naomi * - NetherlandsI've had my internship at Korea gapyear for 5 months. All I can say is that they're very lovely and warm-hearted people. I'm so grateful for meeting them and be able to spend the last 5 months with them. They always stood behind my back and were able to help, showed me all Korean things on a daily basis, tried teaching me Korean as much as they could and I'm very grateful for that. I've learned so much on personal levels by being here, but it was always comforting to know that these people would always stand by me and try their best to help me. They told me we're like family now and I'll miss them very much. But whenever im in Korea again, I'll surely come visit them many times:) I can only be positive about them! I really really had a great time at Korea gapyear.
Thanks for supporting my Korean life
April 01, 2025by: Xiao Xiao - ChinaThe Korea GapYear staff supported me whenever I asked for help. Later, I realized that if my Korean had been better, I could have found the answers on Naver myself. But the staff always answered all my questions. Thank you. Although I wasn’t in Korea for a long time, it became a cherished memory in my heart.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if my program is unsuccessful?
We strive to ensure all internships are successful. In case of any issues, our trained staff will assist with problem-solving or help you search for a new placement if necessary. Our selection process aims to ensure a good match between participants and their placements.
How are internship placements assigned?
Once accepted into our program, you will receive a placement proposal based on your professional background and interests. If your chosen placement is unavailable, we will offer an alternative with similar characteristics. If the placement does not meet your needs, please inform your mentor and company tutor. We will work with you to resolve any issues, but in rare cases, a mutual agreement to end the internship may be reached.
Who is eligible to apply for the internship program?
Anyone 18 years or older with an interest in gaining international experience is welcome to apply. Priority is given to those who are open-minded, flexible, and understand the value of teamwork. If you're undecided about your career path and want to gain work experience before making a decision, you’re also encouraged to apply.
When can I start the program?
The start date is generally flexible, depending on the host organization. However, after submitting your Internship Application and program fee, you must wait for confirmation of your internship placement and visa approval before booking your flight. If your placement is confirmed for a specific start date, this date is usually fixed. If you do not arrive or are absent, a fine may apply.
