Global Leadership Adventures Reviews
Absolutely amazing program

My daughter went on a trip with GLA to Spain last summer and loved it. As a parent I was extremely confident that she was both safe and having fun the entire time. Definitely recommend it for anyone that wants their kid to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience but also be safe!

My time in the DR

Last summer, I went with GLA to the Dominican Republic. I can't even explain how amazing the experience was. It was so cool to see the various projects that we were working on progress over the 10 days. They provided us with an assortment of projects that teens in the following program would continue after we left. The mentors were easy to talk to about any problem, but I also enjoyed simply conversing with them! All of them had such awesome stories to tell. My trip to the DR made me realize how much I loved traveling and volunteering, especially at the same time- so much so that I am fundraising to go to Ghana with GLA this summer. GLA also provides the tools you need to fundraise and encourage students to raise money for their trip, considering the fact that it can be kind of pricy.
Global leadership adventures-Dominican Republic beachside service adventure 2016 (July 2-11)

My name is Grace Lee and I was fortunate enough to have gone on the 10-Day Beachside Service Adventure in the Dominican Republic with Global Leadership Adventures, this past summer. Little did I know I was about to embark on a trip that would change my life forever. One of the many things Global Leadership Adventures so special is it's focus on adventure. In the Dominican Republic my group and I did many excursions that tested both our physical and mental capacities. These excursions including cliff jumping, zip lining and dropping into a fresh water lagoon, hiking up and down a very steep, three mile mountain (Mount Brisón), snorkeling over vibrant reefs in the Caribbean, and ride in a big boat through crystal blue waters. These experiences boosted my self confidence as well as brought my entire group closer because we were able to share once in a life-time opportunities with one another. My group was so tightly-knit and I feel that it definitely made my trip more memorable and insanely epic. I give Global Leadership Adventures a gold star and I plan on continuing my travels through GLA this summer in Guatemala. I highly recommend Global Leadership Adventures and the Dominican Republic Beachside Service Adventure to any teen interested in an action packed adventure.

My daughter Grace had a life changing experience at age 15 with Global Leadership Adventures in the Dominican Republic, July 2016. There were so many aspects that were valuable. One that rises to the surface is the connection with students her age from around the world. Not only was Grace able to be with young people who were passionate about leadership & service, she was able to communicate in different languages, learn about their cultures, and broaden her understanding of how people her age live. Grace has stayed very close to many of those on the trip and has planned a week to visit one of her friends in Minneapolis this summer. In the past I would have had to fly with her, yet after going overseas by herself last summer she said flying domestically is "no problem mom." Priceless. Thanks Global Leadership Adventures.

My favorite thing about the GLA experience was the staffs ability to keep me engaged with and aware of my daughters activities. It is very hard to let your child go on such a far trip, but I always felt she was safe. She did get sick while in Guatemala, and I had many lengthy calls with her mentor. They handled the situation perfect. Her overall experience was amazing- I have decided to send her on another GLA trip this summer!
