Asuncion is surrounded by virgin rainforests and is known for safari adventures, gorgeous waterfalls and indigenous groups. Participants will be staying at the NRCSA Center at the heart of the city. The school is dedicated to teaching Spanish and Guarani to foreigners. Students are taught using a "direct personalized" method that has proven to be a very reliable way for students to learn the language easily and quickly. Learn Spanish in Asuncion, the capital and largest city of Paraguay. The Spanish word asuncion means assumption in English. It refers to the Assumption of Mary; the full name means The Very Noble and Loyal City of Our Lady Saint Mary of the Assumption. Asuncion is one of the oldest cities in South America and the longest continually inhabited area in the River Plate Basin; for this reason that it is known as "Mother of Cities". It was from here that the colonial expeditions departed to found other cities, including the second foundation of Buenos Aires and of other important cities such as Villarrica, Corrientes, Santa Fe and Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
