Degree Programs in Luneburg, Germany

This program offers a cross-campus experience for students, enabling them to study in beautiful Barbados and Europe. The UWI-Leuphana Double LLM Degree specializes in international economic law and has a minimum duration of 12 months. It starts with two semesters at the University of the West Indies, followed by a semester and research paper at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg in Germany. The program allows students to specialize in several advanced areas of law while at UWI, from a Caribbean perspective, followed by advanced courses in international economic law at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg in Germany. The degree of two Master of Laws will be awarded upon successful completion. During the first two semesters of the double degree, UWI students may register in any UWI LLM specialties. Then, depending upon the courses completed, they will be eligible to receive either the general UWI LLM (unspecialized) or one of the four specialized sub-categories of the LLM program. After completing assessments for Semester II of the UWI LLM, they will travel to Leuphana University of Lüneburg in Germany.
