Seamester is the educational adventure of a lifetime! For more than 40 years, we have offered unparalleled educational voyages where students spend a semester at sea sailing between islands, countries, and even continents. We design our programs to provide engaging learning experiences with real outcomes in ways that are impossible to replicate in the traditional classroom. Living as part of a close-knit team on an ocean-going vessel, our students learn fundamental lessons beyond academics: teamwork, leadership, and personal responsibility. They receive academic credit from the University of South Florida, along with PADI scuba certifications and IYT sailing certifications. Our programs are designed to inspire students to realize that it’s the journey, not the destination, that matters the most.

It's an unforgettable journey most sailors only dream about — a 24-day voyage across the arc of the Caribbean. Go beyond most sailing camps by learning to sail a 52' monohull, charting your way through the Caribbean. Master sailing techniques, explore, laugh, hike, lend a hand, and take control of your own adventure. Mile 4: Learn to jibe and tack and get a feel for how the hull slices through the waves. Mile 39: Lower the anchor and set foot on a lush Caribbean island. Mile 187: Take the helm and let the stars guide you on a night sail. Mile 302: Plot your own path as you take charge of the boat with your newfound leadership skills. Join us on this unforgettable 500-nautical-mile sailing adventure. Earn your stripes by mastering all the sailing basics while also learning about weather patterns, seamanship, and safety at sea. Leap off waterfalls in Grenada. Take your classroom abroad! Immerse yourself in rich Dominican culture and history while experiencing all the “Nature Island” offers. Embrace the tropical climate while exploring the biodiversity of the coral reefs, mountains, rivers, hot springs, and beautiful sights and sounds of the rainforest. Spend your clinical time conducting speech and hearing screenings, running group therapy camps, administering formal and informal assessments, and learning about quality patient care from licensed, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) accredited Speech-Language Pathologists. Our one-of-a-kind agreement with the government of Dominica allows students the most diverse experiences possible -work in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, schools, and home health settings!
