Travel to the Western Cape province, South Africa, and volunteer at an ethical predator sanctuary. This incredible center, surrounded by indigenous flora and fauna, is considered the forever home of several big cats and predators – jackal, caracal, cheetah, leopard, tigers & lions. It provides animals with a safe, stimulating environment for the rest of their lives. The project has grown considerably over the years, with more big cats coming to the sanctuary. Hence, they need volunteers to assist with a range of activities – making animal enrichments, feeding, upgrading enclosures, building platforms, and more. The main goal is to provide these animals with the best possible life in captivity, as it isn't possible to release them back into the wild where they have been saved from negative backgrounds. Volunteers from 18 years old are welcome to join us on a Saturday, all year round. The minimum stay is two weeks and a longer duration is subject to visa requirements. This is an ideal project for anyone who loves animals and wildlife and is ready to get their hands dirty. We highly encourage students specializing in conservation and any wildlife-related studies to participate.
