Packed like sardines

- An overcrowded place or venue; tremendously crowded.
Example: The concert was such a hit, people were packed like sardines!

Example:

Pay through the nose

- To pay a high price for something.
Example: Taking up a medical course would make you pay through the nose.

Example:

Pink slip

- A notice of retrenchment; a letter telling someone that he just got fired.
Example: It would be too painful to receive a pink slip.

Example:

Pipe dream

- An impossible or unrealistic idea; an idea which is not viable or feasible; an impractical scheme.
Example: What you are suggesting is actually a pipe dream!

Example:

Plain as the nose on your face

- Noticeable; observable; clear; obvious.
Example: It's plain as the nose on your face that what you are saying are all lies.

Example:

Play hardball

- Very persistent in achieving a goal; determined to accomplish something.
Example: All that guys have to do is play hardball to get to the top.

Example:

Play out of your skin

- To give an exemplary performance.
Example: The Choir must be able to play out of their skin to win the competition.

Example:

Play with fire

- To take unreasonable risks; to get into dangerous situations.
Example: May, stop playing with fire. It might get you into serious trouble.
