I enjoyed my time and would recommend the program to anyone who wants to seriously teach abroad. Please don't join the program if you haven't realistically considered the difficulties it comes with teaching in a foreign country.

I'm a traveler by nature, and teaching English abroad was always on my radar. I was skeptical about signing up for a TEFL course in general, but my fears were quickly dispelled as soon as I spoke with Matt, my course advisor. ITA had everything I needed (including what I didn't know I needed) to succeed. I look forward to starting the job hunting process and I cannot thank this company enough!

Overall, I feel that ITA was a great choice in obtaining my TEFL certificate. The content was great and very beneficial towards my teaching career. There are many things I have learned throughout the duration of this course that I know I will be using during my time teaching abroad. Not only do they teach you about classroom strategies, but they also incorporate what to expect out of living abroad as well.

As an international teacher, I felt it is important to continue to learn. I have five classes of 100 percent ELL students. ITA helped me to become more confident in helping my students learn both English and science. I know that I will be able to use what I have learned in my classes already and then I can also use my experience for new teaching opportunities in the future. The course was easily manageable as a full-time teacher and taking additional online courses in graduate school.

I took this course because I wanted to try something different and possibly teach abroad someday. I still have my practicum to complete and then the decision of where I want to go will come next. I'm excited for the possibilities that this course will help me find! I look forward to using the knowledge I have gained to teach others while I travel the world. Overall the course was a great way to jumpstart my planning on teaching abroad. Having no prior teaching experience it was critical I take this course and learn everything within it. It helped me gain the confidence and knowledge to move forward in teaching abroad. I would definitely recommend ITA to anyone who decides they want to teach abroad.

Some scores I left as N/A because I didn't elect to do those yet but I'm sure they are fantastic. As someone without any teaching experience, this course made me realize how much I didn't know about teaching in an actual classroom as opposed to my tutoring experience. The course itself was very clear about its objectives and the work was directly relevant with the content. The instructor was super helpful, understanding, and seemed experienced. I'm looking forward to the job search guidance as I complete my course.

ITEFL was very helpful when it came to finding a job. They are very experienced in this line of work so they know the best routes of how to teach abroad! I had instructor Yuri and she was very polite and definitely knows her stuff. The lesson plans can be a little dry sometimes but they just want everyone to know what to expect when teaching abroad. I would really recommend the course and utilize all of their benefits. Definitely contact your adviser and use them to find a position abroad.

The course met my expectations, it covered all the important topics regarding teaching and it stimulated my interest in becoming a TEFL teacher even further. I can't wait to apply into practice all that I have learnt. Thank you!

ITA was great. They provided a ton of information pre-enrollment which really helped to solidify my decision to get certified and move abroad. The program also supplies a TON of job search guidance which was incredibly helpful. The course was rigorous and challenging. They throw you into activity and lesson planning within the first few weeks. This may seem intimidating, but in the long run, I am very grateful to have been given such a tangible experience so early on.

I haven't taught abroad yet, but I plan on going to Thailand by October of this year. I feel well prepared for what's to come thanks to this online TEFL class. Hi, my name is Adriana Pinto. After I did my research about which TEFL academy to choose, I opted for the International TEFL Academy. I feel super satisfied. I chose the 170 hrs TEFL course including Practicum + the 30 hours for 2 additional course modules: Teaching Business English and Teaching Young Learners (Optional). Choosing an online TEFL course with Practicum is a plus. It allows you to put in practice all what you hace learned by teaching in real life. Also, another difference between ITA and other online academies is that you are part of a group of students, you work together with them and with the guidance of a tutor so it is not a course at your own pace. It is online, but you have to work hard week after week. The good thing is that you get feed back your your tutor and as well of the other students. So definitely I found this challenging and fun at the same time. Their materials are up to date. They provide easy explanation, but they are very demanding in your quality work. Another detail that made me decide to study with them is the fact that as I am not an English native speaker, they made me some questions, interviews, made me prepare an essay in order to be sure I could have the required English level in order to suceed in my course before even paying. The advisor who took my call, answered all my questions and gave me tips and advices of my possibilities of getting hired abroad taking in count my nationality, career, etc. I recommend you 100% taking the TEFL online course with at the International TEFL Academy. I really love this course! If you are looking for the best preparation (especially as someone who has never stepped foot in a classroom before), this school is the best. The pricing for the course is very reasonable and what you get is WELL WORTH IT!!! The course is easy to follow, the instructors are very helpful and encouraging with their evaluations and the advisors are just the best!!! I just barely started teaching a kid's dance class at a studio in my area. Although this is not a TEFL type of class, I managed to apply my knowledge of lesson planning and rationale to this class and - let me tell you - the studio owner and the more experienced instructors up there were very impressed! It felt good to be so prepared and I have ITA to thank for that! If you are looking to teach overseas and you want the best preparation you can get for your classroom, go through International TEFL Academy! Trust me when I say, your schools will be rather impressed with your lesson planning and classroom management abilities that come out of it!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and felt I was provided with all the write skills and tools to be an effective teacher. The instructor, Quinn Cruz, was great. Everything was explained in detail and very straightforward. She was available for contact and always responded within a timely matter. Grading was very fair.

I really enjoyed my course through ITA. They were super helpful throughout the process and I love all of the job search guidance they will provide after the course. The online classes were well organized, easy to navigate and useful. This course was a lot more challenging and required a lot more of time then I ever imagined but I loved it and can't wait to see where in the world it takes me. If you are thinking about doing it don't think twice, just do it!

This was my first online class and I found it surprisingly enjoyable. Here's how it works: Each student is grouped in a class with about 20 other students. Beginning every Monday the class reads one chapter. Before the following Sunday each student must take an online quiz and complete a task - like an essay or a lesson plan - that relates to the chapter. The quiz gets graded immediately and the teacher grades your task before the end of the following week. Also, before every Friday, students must complete one entry - a topical personal reflection - in the Peer Participation portion of the course. After the 10th and final chapter, quiz, task, and peer participation is complete each student must create a final project (ours is a 3 day thematic lesson plan) and complete 20 hours of in-person, live ESL observation/volunteering/student teaching at a class near your home. (The local junior college was my resource for finding this class.) I spent about 5-7 hours a week on this class. (But it could probably be done more efficiently! I'm older and a little out of practice. ;-) )

Here I am working for an airline making minimum wage to travel abroad when I can just get TEFL certified and LIVE in a foreign country!
