- Refers to an action that wasn't planned carefully; a decision done in a rush.

- Having a good relationship with another person.
Example: My parents have their hands in glove. I never see them argue.

- Refers to bad penmanship, unintelligible hand- writing.

- Slight possibility of being successful.
Example: Most cancer victims hang by a thread to survive.

- A tough person; can also refer to mean people.
Example: Rita is as hard as nails to her servants. I think her husband should talk to her about it.

- Acting on desperation to sell something.
Example: Many salesclerks in that furniture shop are hard selling to customers. I am not going there again.

Example:

Hear a pin drop

- To be in a completely silent place.
Example: The monastery in Rome was so silent I could hear a pin drop.

Example:

Heart isn't in it

- When you are not interested in something but are forced to do it.
Example: My heart isn't into Business Management but I have to pursue the degree because it's what my father wants.
