There is no fee for this program; the expenses are absorbed by the Korean government in support of its goals to foster international education and cross-cultural understanding. Teachers enjoy rent free accommodations and a tax-deferred salary that is plenty to cover their living expenses plus save a substantial amount for travel, paying off loans or saving for a house. In addition to a generous monthly salary, teachers also receive entrance and exit bonuses that are nearly equivalent to one month's salary.
