Very positive experience!!

I can say that my experience at the University of Economics in Prague has been extremely successful! The lectures have been highly useful and provided with necessary skills in the business world. Life in the dormitories of the university has been a great experience because there is a vivid student atmosphere with many people from differences places across the world. Prague is not only the most beautiful city that I have ever been to but a multicultural city with various kinds of urban culture. And of course, the best beer in the world!

Experience that you will not regret

Program: Economics and Public Policy (EPP)

I’m recently a student of the program Economics and Public Policy (EPP). The main reason why I’m currently studying EPP is that I already had an experience with its Bachelor’s version- Economics (ECON). EPP is offering a large scale of the subjects, which is making the whole study attractive. Several courses are thought only for our group. Individual approach of teachers is perfect because you don’t have to hesitate to ask any questions and you can easily find all necessary answers almost immediately. Combination of advanced level of microeconomics and macroeconomics as well as courses like Behavioural Finance, Competition Policy and Regulation or even Economics and Psychology and Drugs in Economics showing the field of economics in many different ways. The University of Economics and mainly EPP is a very good option for everyone whose priority is highly ranked university and international environment that can provide you a valuable experience and a strong sense of responsibility. These are just a few reasons why I would highly recommend studying this program.

What are you waiting for?

Program: Master in International and Diplomatic Studies (IDS)

The IDS program from VSE in Prague was ideal for me because of several reasons: 1. The degree itself managed to merge political science with economic policy, which has my particular interest. A combination like this makes it challenging to construct a though trough argument in the different papers you need to write, as well as interesting as the teachers provide sufficient guidance towards new perspectives. 2. The city of Prague. Whether it's the tough love from the Czech inhabitants, the vibrant cosmopolitan scene combined with a very traditional outlook, or the exploration of the city during the weekends: Prague is a one in a million and I miss it every day. 3. The full degree abroad. Although internships and short-term studies helped me gather my experience abroad, this was different. It felt like home, it felt way better at times and way worse at others. I felt the pride of being a resident of Prague and a student of IDS. Needless to say, that this is the reason that I'm writing this. So, what are you waiting for? I could name 50 more reasons if you’re willing to listen. But it’s better to experience it yourself!

Program: VŠE Economic Data Analysis (EDA) Program

I would definitely recommend my program to others. There are two main reasons for this. The first reason is that I had two amazing years that I really enjoyed. I really enjoyed the time that I spent both in school and outside school. All the classes are good which keeps you motivated and the program is well structured so that you know what to expect. The second reason is that when you graduate you have really good chances of landing a good and highly paid job. I had success in working in Sweden within accounting and the Czech Republic within finance after I graduated.

I’ve started something I didn’t know I wanted!

Program: VŠE Economic Data Analysis (EDA) Program

I’ve studied here with minor specialisation in Insurance Mathematics and while it was challenging it opened a door for me to enter the actuary world, where I didn’t know existed before starting the degree. Many courses are not satisfactory and do not seem to related to my degree, but few excellent courses along with the teachers here make up for that. If I had to choose again I would 100% choose VSE.

Lifetime experience!

Program: Master in Finance and Accounting (MIFA)

4

It was one of my best decisions choosing to study MIFA in VSE, as it gave me a lot of opportunities to grow professionaly and get a lot of experience, meet a lot of internationals and have the time of my life. Further more choosing double degree made me realize the possibilities of studing 2 differen programs and having the chance to live a really nice and different experience with more cultures to know and more challenges to have.

Experience that you will never regret

March 18, 2020by: Viktória Soročinová - Slovakia

Program: VŠE Bachelor of Economics (ECON) Program

5

There are many reasons why I applied for this program and even more of them why I would highly recommend studying it. Firstly, ECON Bachelor’s program is the base for EPP Master’s program and it will prepare you very well for all the courses that you will be studying during your master’s degree if you will decide to continue in the field of economics. Combination of microeconomics and macroeconomics, introduction to law, psychology or game theory, as well as several courses focused on the history and the European Union is really great for everyone who wants to have an overview from almost every sphere of life. Secondly, Prague is a perfect option if your preference is highly ranked university in the heart of Europe. A cosmopolitan city, which you can constantly explore, a mix of classmates from almost every single part of the world, working in varied teams and dealing with different cultures was totally amazing experience for me, which I will never regret. The last but definitely not least, the University of Economics and especially my ECON program provided me an introduction to the world of economics and thought me not only how to think outside the box but also to have a strong sense of responsibility and self-sufficiency.

Moreover, both ACCOUNTING as a language of business and FINANCE as a soul of any business idea will definitely become your kamarádi!!!

Economics Bachelor in Prague

March 18, 2020by: Artem Fedorov - Russia

Program: VŠE Bachelor of Economics (ECON) Program

4

I had an amazing opportunity to do my bachelor studies at the University of Economics, Prague with the major of economics. I can confidently say that throughout these three years I have drastically developed critical thinking, analytical and communication skills. International exposure and challenging, yet interesting courses gave me new perspective on ordinary things and shed light on the sophisticated academic theories. So far moving to Prague and selecting VSE was the most prominent and compelling decision in my life. I do not intend to create a perfect imagery of this school and particular program: I highly urge every candidate to evaluate this program in a context of other similar programs across different countries, compare university rankings, etc. Yes, there have been pitfalls along the way, confusion moment with administration matters and ambiguous teaching moments, but for me personally benefits and possibilities provided by this degree out weight any difficulties. If you doubt - think twice, but if you were getting more and more pumped while reading this - then go for it and have the best moments of your life in the very heart of Europe!

Strong foundation stone to a long journey

Program: Bachelor of International Business (IBB)

Studying IBB at the University of Economics is a rich experience. You get to meet a lot of students across globe, all studying under one roof. The university and program itself has a lot of external and internal options that a student can pursue while focusing mainly on academics. Some of the options include student clubs, think-tanks, ambassadorship, PR, etc. I was personally involved in MUN, where we organized a conference hosting 200+ delegates. Moreover, we helped shooting the faculty promotional video (link attached). The extensive options are designed in such a way that students grows throughout curriculum. The program itself focuses on international relations, and how international relations impacts oneself. Moreover, the program has to offer extensive exchange abroad, having agreements with some of the big names. Going abroad, making friends, understanding different culture while paying tution at VSE is a game changer. I would highly recommend IBB program to any young potential who wants to get out of the den and start a journey to explore the globe.

Program: International Business - Central European Business Realities

4

If you consider to apply for the IB program at VSE then stop considering and just do it. You will definitely not regret it. I decided to study this program mainly due to the strong international focus of the studies and the double degree possibility (option to spend one year abroad at a partner university and to receive a Master's Degree from it). What I appreciated the most was that there was only around 40 other students (from all around the world) which meant the classes in general were more personal and interactive. You study a regular scope of subjects you would expect from an international study program, nevertheless the smaller group of students made the classes more interesting and I think that both the teachers and students were therefore really engaged in the whole study process. To summarize it: I had a great time studying subjects which I never expected to enjoy, learn a lot (hopefully), met and became friends with people from places all around the world and got headhunted by a german automotive company prior to finishing my studies. On the other side, prepare to spend a lot of your free time studying as the program is definitely challenging and you will not get the degree for free.

Great mix of professional opportunities and travel

The programs at VSE are really great - I feel like they give you a great balance of theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge. I know that what I am learning will be able to be applied in the future in my professional life. With regards to social life, Prague has so many international students and workers I'm constantly meeting new people from all around the world.

Amazing city to start your adulthood!

Czech Republic, and Prague specifically is a great place to start your experience as a young adult. You get to look for the new flat yourself, paying all the bills, doing the groceries and managing your budget (here you get paid on monthly basis and I was used to bi-weekly) so all of those are new challenges, some smaller some bigger, and Prague is a great place to experience them. Apart from all the great things the city has to offer, there comes the student life, the academic and the social one. The university itself has nice facilities to offer and the classes you attend are guaranteed to have international people in them. I think what makes the classes the best is the fact that so many people come from different backgrounds, cultures, countries etc. Additionally you can look for some events organized by the university or the students clubs and there are plenty of them!

Best decision ever made

Program: International Business - Central European Business Realities

I came to Prague with only a suitcase back in 2015 and now I have a great degree, a great job at a very prestigious company, a flat, love and a great new life. The study program I was enrolled to provide a top-notch education as well as allowing students to be able to work while studying. Thanks to this great balance, all the alumni including myself were able to find jobs in multinational companies. Most importantly, the degree I received provided me access to opportunities as equal to a citizen of this country. I never felt I did not have the same chances as the others. Since I came to Prague, I keep suggesting my study program and my university to my friends and sometimes even to people that contact me online looking for studying abroad.

I moved to Prague to get my Master degree in Management at the University of Economics. In these two years, I had interesting courses where I learned to interact with students all over the world. Also, working and studying in an international environment gave me a new perspective on business issues and related topics. Overall, the University of Economics in Prague was a great place to meet new people, network and enhance my knowledge.

Program: VSE Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

5

I have no doubts that BBA is the best study program in CZ in terms of business knowledge. The student can get a multinational experience alongside with plenty of new friends coming from different countries. As well Erasmus program is an opportunity to meet new, interesting people from different back-rounds, study programs etc. As I already have a job experience, I am experience the use of the knowledge that I have been provided thanks to BBA. At last, the costs of the study program are not high at all. One can also get one of the cheapest accommodation services in Europe.

Great international experience

Prague is a beautiful city but it is also a huge international hub; you get to meet people from all over the world while living in one of the most historic and beautiful cities of Europe. Living expenses are quite cheap compared to other cities in Europe and the quality of life is exceptional. There is also a huge opportunity to get professional experience through internships or part time jobs because a lot of international companies have offices in Prague and are constantly hiring students. The program itself is pretty complete but our success will definitely be determined by how much you put into it; it is all about how serious you decide to study on your own and how much effort you are willing to put.

Program: Master in International Management (CEMS)

5

I've decided to apply for CEMS MIM programme, because I wanted to meet new people from all around the world (classmates, professors but also professionals from various fields), challenge myself and deepen the knowledge of management and marketing (which I chosed as my minor). These expectations were not only met, but even exceeded! I had so many opportunities to talk to great people, visited many corporate partners, attend countless interesting lectures, talk to CEMS Alumni and last but not least spend an amazing semester in Rotterdam. I was also part of the CEMS Club Prague, where as a Head of Marketing I was responsible for promotion of all events organized for CEMSies, talk to prospective students, managed all social media, website and much more. CEMS is truely a community of great and open-minded people, who became my best friends!

Amazing student life in the heart of the Europe

Program: Master in International Management (CEMS)

In my opinion, the CEMS Masters in International Management at University of Economics, Prague is one of the best options to study internationally recognizable program with excellent reputation and rankings in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Prague offers vivid and diverse social life with excellent restaurants, coffee places to have a great brunch, theaters and sports events to visit for very affordable price together with competitive cost of living that many students will appreciate. On the top of that, University of Economics is the best economic university in Czech Republic and CEMS is the flagship masters program that holds many top rankings. I was also able to be part of amazing cohort, which was consisted of diverse students from all around the world and without any doubts, you will be able to create lifetime friendships after two years of the masters program. On the top of that, there is a restless CEMS Club Prague which is a volunteer-based student club that organises social, corporate, alumni and CSR events that are held every week and helps to create unforgettable experience. Due to CEMS Club and program management, students are exposed to many international corporations such as Deloitte, Škoda, PwC, Google, and Hilti, that are vital part of the program and give them opportunities for future jobs or internships during the studies. Moreover, the program executives are always there to assist you with any inquiries and their professional approach. I believe that the professional and personal network that I could build while studying CEMS in Prague will allow me to pursue my dreams and was one of the best decisions I have made.

I'm Farrukh, from Uzbekistan. 1 year ago i decided to continue my education in terms of achieving masters degree. I want to become an excellent project manager so i decided to find something related. And the programs which offered University of Economics in Prague suited me a lot. The explanation of the course and every detail was clearly described on the web-site of the university. So I made choice and arrived to Prague and had started my education. Now i'm on my 2nd semester and living conditions as well as university programs are much better than I expected. For example, in the 1st semester i had a course named ICT project management which was taught excellent. I'm happy that i chose ISM program. In a nutshell i don't regret of my choice because even half year changed my life a lot to positive side.

they are very friendly and take care of you. in case of difficulties or misunderstanding related to study or sometimes living and transportation they always try to help you and do their best. For example, for the first time when I came here, I did not know where should I bought a card for transportation and I remember the lady from the ISM program explained it for me very detail and help me very carefully. Once I needed communication in the Czech language with staff who did not know English and she also helped me. So, I want to say to the ISM office a very big thank for everything. University's program coordinator always helps you to choose subjects correctly and gives explanations and detailed descriptions for every subject which you are interested in. Moreover, teachers are very friendly and professional, they try to help you and in case if you need additional help they have their consultation hours and you can visit and get their help very detail and caring way. Overall, the whole course is very interesting and highly trended with the best professors from different countries.

When I was looking for my masters I asked myself the question, what did I enjoy most while doing my bachelor’s degree and why? That’s when it struck me, that I enjoyed the most personal and professional growth during my exchange semester. During my bachelor's, I was lucky enough to spend six months abroad and although it was the scariest thing I had ever done. It also was the time during which I made beautiful friendships and got to know myself a lot better. I noticed that putting myself outside of my comfort zone had brought me a lot of benefits and I wanted to extend this experience by also choosing to do my masters abroad.

Ever since I was a teenager I decided that I wanted to experience living in as many countries as possible during my youth. To study abroad is a great opportunity to fulfill that goal. I studied my bachelors in Sweden and did a bachelors exchange in Canada. When it was time to apply for masters I saw the possibility to do that abroad. I also saw the possibility of picking a home university abroad and then being able to go on a master’s exchange to yet another country. This is also what I ended up doing. I studied my 2 year masters at the University of Economics in Prague and I spent one of those semesters on a masters Erasmus program in Italy. I could not be happier with my decision. It has given me so many new experiences, friends and memories. My expectations were definitely fulfilled.
