Trek Relief

Established in 2016 following the Gorkha earthquake, we began as a small effort to raise funds for Langtang Valley survivors. Encouraged by great feedback, we created a vision and built a team who share a belief in expanding our fundraising efforts to make a bigger difference. Our main aim is to enhance voluntourism and provide crucial help to faraway areas worldwide. Our campaign united over 40 people to fundraise, rebuild homes, and go on a first trek in the Himalayas. In a bit over 8 months, we raised $50,000 USD to aid disaster relief and create jobs in a struggling economy. On April 18, 2018, Trek Relief registered as a nonprofit organization that combines adventure travel with philanthropic efforts to support and help the people in remote communities within Nepal, Mongolia, Chile, and Peru.
