Support That Kept Me Going
May 19, 2026by: Molly LynchI ordered a Hard Copy certificate and it took longer than expected to get sent out. I could not get through to anyone on the phone or by email, which I am putting down to COVID Lockdown and the office being closed. As soon as I used the Chat, Kate was very helpful and told me the status of my order straight away. I have given 4 stars purely because contacting them by phone and email was so hard, but the chat feature is excellent, so try that first if you need help.
Clear Modules and Useful Lessons
May 17, 2026by: Niamh MooreI’ve just finished the 10 Hour Advanced Certificate in TEFL Classroom Methodologies Course and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone thinking about signing up. Everything was clearly structured, well planned, and really straightforward to follow. I was a bit anxious at the beginning, but Kate had me, and everyone else on the course, feeling comfortable almost straight away. We started with a few warmers so we could get to know each other, and I honestly think that made it easier for everyone to relax and fully take part in every part of the course. Kate stayed professional throughout, but she also made sure it was enjoyable and never too heavy, so it didn’t feel like being overloaded with information you could not keep up with. I genuinely can’t rate this course highly enough for anyone interested, it is excellent and completely worth doing.
A Course Let Down by Hidden Fees
May 15, 2026by: Eoin ReillyI genuinely cannot recommend the Level 5 Advanced Diploma enough. Everything is explained in a clear, bite sized format, so it is easy to take your time and work through it at whatever pace suits you. On top of that, you come away with loads of resources that you can keep for future lessons or use to dig deeper when you are studying and preparing. I would also suggest the 30 Hour Teaching English Online, the 30 Hour Teaching Young Learners, the 30 Hour Teaching Advanced Grammar, and the 10 Hour Advanced Certificate in TEFL Classroom Methodologies courses. In the Classroom Methodologies course, Michelle Benson is so kind and straightforward that you finish it feeling like you are genuinely ready to walk into a real classroom. Altogether, these courses have left me feeling fully prepared to teach English to actual students.
Frustrated by the Extra Certificate Fee
May 15, 2026by: Ava WalshHi everyone! Since July, I have completed my third TELF Institute course, which were the 180 hours, TELF for Teaching Business English and Teaching English for Exams. I honestly cannot recommend these TELF courses enough. I found them demanding, yet still really fun to work through. Everything is presented in a way that makes sense, and the quizzes and assessments help the content actually stick. Even though I already teach foreign languages, I have taken so much from these courses and now I feel properly prepared for what is next, because I am hoping to teach in Spain or South America. The TELF courses have given me a great deal. If you are thinking about doing one, just do it. You will not regret it! Thanks TELF Institute, Richard
Easy to Follow from Start to Finish
May 09, 2026by: Conor MccarthyI had a great time doing the 120 hour TEFL course. Everything is set up in a clear way, and each module breaks things down so it is easy to understand. I would definitely suggest it to anyone who is just getting started with a career in teaching English.
A Course That Fit Around My Schedule
May 09, 2026by: Chloe WalshEverything in the course was presented clearly, and the layout made it simple to work through. I liked that it combined videos, audio recordings, and reading sections rather than relying on just one format. In each module, they also pointed to extra resources and suggested further reading if you wanted to go beyond the basics. All in all, I would recommend doing the 120 hour TEFL course with this company.
Learning TEFL Live Online Was Worth It
May 07, 2026by: Thomas MurrayI’ve just enrolled on the Level 5 Diploma and, honestly, it feels thorough while still being nicely compact and clearly laid out. The course gives you lots of resources, plus links out to other sites, which really help build your understanding of the topic. You are given all the tools needed for the quizzes and assessments, and there is tutor guidance along with support on Discord if you get stuck. I also completed the 10hr Methodologies Course with Michelle Benson and found her so motivating. She showed us what delivering a lesson looks like, guided us through a foreign language class, and shared loads of practical advice from what she has seen firsthand. In the online session, each of us had a 5 minute slot to practise teaching, and she gave feedback after everyone had a go. I would absolutely suggest these TEFL courses to anyone considering teaching English to speakers of other languages.
Not the Quality I Was Hoping For
May 06, 2026by: Mark ByrneI think the course is solid. The materials are useful, and the grading turnaround is quick. Unfortunately, the customer service is terrible. Most of the time the chat is not even staffed. I sent messages over a few days and never got a response. They have no shortage of cheerful marketing emails, but the moment you need help with an actual issue, the experience is totally different. In the end they do sort it out, just not anywhere near when you need it. Maybe I just caught them at a bad time.
A Great Boost from the Virtual Course
May 05, 2026by: Mark ReillyI finished the 10 hour practical teaching course on Saturday the 22nd of September. It turned out to be a really enjoyable day, with plenty of interaction and a lively pace that kept everything moving. In my opinion, doing this before heading abroad is a must. Michelle is such a fantastic teacher and she keeps you totally engaged. One of the most useful parts was when she delivered a half hour session in another language, which really showed you what it feels like to be a complete beginner trying to learn english. It gives you a real understanding of your students and why empathy matters so much. From my very first questions about being a more mature tefl teacher going overseas, Kate has been lovely to deal with, and now I cannot wait for my cambodian adventure. The company comes across as genuinely professional and upfront, and I would happily recommend that anyone speak with Kate, Katie and Michelle if they are thinking about travelling and teaching abroad, or even here in Ireland.
A Short Course with a Big Impact
May 05, 2026by: Mark MurrayI have just wrapped up the 10hr Teaching Virtual Course and honestly, I learned so much from it. The exercises were great, and I liked how everything was explained and discussed in a way that made us feel like students, but also like equals learning together. Michelle K. was lovely and incredibly supportive the entire time, I truly cannot picture going through it with anyone else guiding me. If you are thinking about doing this course, I would definitely suggest it, both to build your confidence with teaching and to take away useful information for once you are finished studying. I am genuinely delighted with it. Thank you!!
Finally Making Sense of Grammar
May 03, 2026by: Katie KeaneReally enjoyed this Grammar course. It is a solid refresher if you want to go back over the rules before you start teaching. It definitely helps build the confidence to deal with the tricky technical grammar questions you are likely to get while teaching.
A Solid Start with IELTS Teaching
April 29, 2026by: Thomas DoyleI’ve just finished the 30 hour IELTS preparation course and I’m absolutely delighted! It was fantastic value for money and it walked me through the exam format in a really clear, detailed way, along with practical strategies for getting students ready and tackling the usual issues that come up in IELTS classes. There were also loads of links to useful websites and extra resources. I’ll definitely be back for more courses.
A Flexible Course That Made Sense
April 29, 2026by: Cian MurrayI had a really great conversation with Elaine Lenane. She went through all the course information with me and didn’t mind answering every question I threw at her. I was pretty nervous about beginning, but she calmed me down, and I genuinely appreciate how patient and kind she was.
Learning TEFL Live Online Was Worth It
April 29, 2026by: Thomas GallagherThis week I was thrilled to finally receive my TEFL Level 5 Advanced Diploma! I worked through it at my own pace and finished in about four and a half months. The online content really suited me, and I found it easy to access, useful, and genuinely interesting. Whenever I needed help, support was there, and I especially want to say a big thank you to Rachel (in Spain) for all her guidance, including the optional Zoom meetings. My goal in doing this was to welcome international students to Ireland and help them with their English. I am so excited to host my first students during the mid-term break! Thanks to TEFL and the brilliant team behind it!
A Great Start to Teaching Online
April 28, 2026by: Sophie WalshI had a fantastic time doing the 10 hour online teaching course with Michelle. Her grammar is spot on, she clearly knows her stuff when it comes to teaching, and she delivers it all in such an energetic, engaging way. On top of that, she is always supportive and encouraging throughout. Thank you so much for everything, Michelle. Tim.
Practical Learning for the Classroom
April 27, 2026by: Amy FitzgeraldI took the 10 hour virtual course with Michelle and had a great time. She kept it lively from start to finish, so it honestly never dragged. Her enthusiasm carried the whole group, and the way she ran the session was spot on. We got through all the important points, but there was still room for us to have a go at our own teaching practice and chat through what we want to do next with TEFL career wise. Since she has taught all over the world, Michelle also gave us really useful, practical advice on what you need if you want to teach in Asia, Europe, Canada...
Fresh Ideas for Teaching Young Learners
April 26, 2026by: Hannah QuinnI have just finished the 30 hour teaching young learners course and found it really eye opening. The teaching methods were explained in a way that was easy to follow and made a lot of sense. I took so much from it and cannot wait to do more with TEFL so I can build on my knowledge and gain more qualifications.
Well Structured and Highly Supportive
April 24, 2026by: Chloe MurrayWhen I finished my 120 hr TEFL course with TEFL.ie, I entered a competition on their instagram page and ended up winning the Teaching English Online course. I found it really straightforward to use and the layout made everything simple to find. I flew through it in a couple of days but still took away a huge amount. There is loads of practical guidance on teaching online, from what you need in place before you begin, to creating lessons that keep students engaged, to weighing up freelancing compared to working for a company, plus a list of some of the main organisations that hire online TEFL teachers. If you are thinking about teaching online, I would absolutely suggest doing this course.
More Support Than I Expected
April 24, 2026by: Aoife MurphyI’ve just completed the 120 hour online TEFL course and I loved it. The material was both engaging and useful, with 10 modules that include videos and plenty of information. Really good value. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone thinking about teaching online.
Useful Prep for Teaching IELTS
April 24, 2026by: Katie QuinnI have just finished the 30 hour IELTS exam preparation course. Everything was laid out clearly and the IELTS test was explained in a way that made sense to me. After I get a bit of practice teaching classes that are not exam focused, I think I will be confident teaching an IELTS class later on. Support was always there when I needed it, and I am really glad I decided to do the course.
