Rotterdam Trip

June 05, 2026by: Derek Huminsky - United States

Program: The Global Consulting Program: From University to Consulting

Trip was great, would definitely recommend other people to travel to Rotterdam. Both our country coordinators were great. They were responsive and showed us around the city. I liked our housing situation too, as it was in a great part of the city.

Rotterdam 2026

My time in rotterdam was truly amazing. I got to explore so many different cities surrounding rotterdam, as well as take the full beauty of rotterdam itself. We find group was amazing and provided two students that lived in the area that we were staying, and they showed us around and immediately welcomed us into the city. The relationships we formed with the students was truly amazing and they will forever now be our friends. Carlota was amazing through we find group. She was always very prompt with her responses and was always supporting us throughout the process. She went above and beyond to provide us materials to enhance our project delivery.

I had an awesome time in Spain. Not only was the size of the group perfect, but any time we had any questions, our host would be very responsive. The work itself was great, as we got experience working on real problems that these companies have.

I had an amazing trip with so many new memories and friends! Blanca was absolutely amazing and so helpful. Madrid was gorgeous and would love to go back. My internship was not the best experience but those feelings have been brought up.

Great experience!

4

I enjoyed very much the city of Madrid. Blanca and Cata did amazing in helping us learn the city, and they are awesome people! I met Carlota once during my presentation, and she was very nice and helpful! The location of Fuencarral was not the best because it was far from most places in the city, and there is not very much around the area. I was also upset with the disrespectful attitude of my boss at BIP. But on the other hand, multiple other workers at BIP were very nice and made the workplace environment so much better!

Best experience ever!

These past 3 weeks have been an amazing experience for me! Blanca Cata Carlotta and Paula made my travel and time so much easier and fun! I will definitely miss it. I do wish the accommodation was closer to the city area as getting food was hard. Other than that 10/10 for everything else!

This program was genuinely an incredible learning experience and so much fun. Our country coordinators made the experience even more memorable by helping us learn how to navigate the city and introducing us to some of the best local places to visit. I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to participate in this program—it was truly one of the best experiences of my life!

I could’ve of asked for a better experience abroad. I felt supported and safe while getting a valuable work experience out of it. Mathilde and Marina were great guides that introduced our group to the city and had great recommendations. This really was a great opportunity I’m grateful for.

micampus location was definitely the only thing that made this experience not exceptional. It was frustrating to not be able to be immersed in madrids city life compared to other fisher global programs. Although it was nice. CBRE was a great company and opportunity. Blanca did a great job as well.

I had such a great time in Vienna, Austria. Our in country providers, Valentina and Alex, were fantastic and always willing and able to help when we needed it. The work experience was a very valuable introduction into consulting, and the place of stay was a convenient location by the train station.

Amazing social and professional opportunity in Milan

4

Overall, the program is well structured and a great experience for students. Each company is different, and this is where I wish my team had a little more rigorous work, but we were still busy all three weeks. Only thing is students shouldn’t be expected to work on Fridays as everyone skipped those days to take weekend trips. The accommodations were nice, but some students did not get ac during a 95° heat wave

3

I had so much fun in Bordeaux. Florencia was very wonderful and helpful. She was really sweet and tried her hardest to support us. I feel that the living area was the downside. Many locals suggested that Grand Parc was a very bad area to live and I didn’t feel safe when car windows were broken and locals told me it isn’t safe. Loved the boat tour, welcome dinner, cooking class and activities exploring around Bordeaux.

My experience was underwhelming

May 28, 2026by: Justin Pirrone - United States

Program: The Global Consulting Program: From University to Consulting

3

Bordeaux was definitely not what I was expecting and felt a bit more run down and sketchy than I would have guessed. We were also told by many different people that our area of residence was sketchy and not safe most especially at night. This was very concerning and definitely wasn’t how I was expecting the trip to look

A Well-Organized and Impactful International Experience

4

This program in Brussels with UPS was an outstanding professional and cultural experience. From the beginning, everything was thoughtfully organized, and it was clear how much effort Carlota, Paulo, and the We Find Group put into creating a structured and meaningful experience that balanced professional development with cultural exposure. So thank you! I especially appreciated the opportunity to work closely with UPS and gain insight into real business challenges in a global setting. The experience felt practical and immersive, offering exposure to different teams and perspectives that strengthened my understanding of international business operations. A special recognition goes to Amelie and Victor, who were consistently welcoming, supportive, and highly engaged throughout the entire program. They brought high energy and deep knowledge to every hangout, which made exploring Brussels and engaging with the program even more valuable and memorable. Overall, this was a highly valuable experience that combined professional learning with cultural immersion in a way that was well-structured, engaging, and impactful. Highly recommended for anyone considering going abroad and wanting to gain professional experience from this too. Brussels surprised me with how much I enjoyed staying there!

Not safe living option. Wouldn’t place students there next year. I would place them in the heart of the city. There was public housing all around with it being dangerous walking around at night. This is unacceptable to place eleven young students in this type of area.

Bordeaux consulting

4

It was a good experience but I would change some of the logistics. The hotel was nice but not in the best area. The university did not provide metro passes which was a necessity to get in the central area of the city. This was something I felt like should have been compensated. We only were granted activities when we had to ask for them to be scheduled even though we were told they were planned ahead. The city was awesome and lost to do. Work environment could have been in a better location but the company itself was great. Wish we got Fridays off to travel more. Students worked well together and got along I had fun! Would do again if I could in another city in Europe.

Traveling to France was the best location I could have picked! Bordeaux is super close to Paris and Spain so we were able to travel every weekend and explore a new city. Working with Saica Pack was another great opportunity. Everyone was very welcoming and wanted us to succeed and have a good time. Their building was far from where we were staying but is brand new. I would definitely recommend choosing Bordeaux as your location as the food, restaurants, coffee, and night life is amazing!

I really enjoyed being immersed in the culture by living outside of Milan. There were so many local places that made me truly feel like I got to be in the culture. We had so much time to explore the city, and go on beautiful excursions that opened my eyes to the world since this was my first trip abroad. I would have appreciated more structure in the workplace. We didn’t know what our project was really about until the second week and it changed a lot. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves

I had a great and very valuable time in Portugal

The program allowed me to gain valuable corporate and professional experience along with an amazing time in a foreign country. I was able to grow accustomed to a foreign country and learn about the cultural, social, and economic differences between the United States and Portugal. In doing so, I now have a more complete perspective of global society.

If I could rate this experience higher I would! I love Vienna, my internship, and my resident advisor. I was nervous that we would be watched over the whole time and never have time to ourselves but I couldn't have been more wrong! I am forever grateful to WeFindGroup and fully intend to do this again!

Life-changing experience!

July 28, 2019by: Dana Ward - United States

Program: Intern in Madrid | The Global Internship

4

This program was life-changing and I am grateful to have been a part of it. Not only did I have the opportunity to add valuable work experience to my resume, especially in another country. But I also had the time of my life experiencing another culture and truly immersing myself in the language and lifestyle. Our accommodations were in the perfect location and were great value for money. Ou resident director, Kyle, was also a great help! The only complaint I have was the disorganized fashion of the organization pre-departure. We were told pretty last minute when our housing would be available to us and when our flights should be booked. Furthermore, it was difficult to access the portal for most of the time while a part of this program. Otherwise, I enjoyed my experience immensely and loved my summer with The Global Internship.

Portugal

July 25, 2019by: Reed Flynt - United States

Portugal was an amazing country for a first time abroad. Easy to navigate, communicate and find things to do. I’d recommend this country to anyone who doesn’t care about what job they get. The Neutroplast experience was not fulfilling and from the first day my boss told me this I was rushed in here and he would only have a little work for me. Very disappointed with my job here and I wouldn’t recommend working here to anyone.

I had an amazing experience in Madrid this summer. I worked for an incredible company in Deloitte and all its employees were nothing but helpful and welcoming. Although most of the employees did not speak English, I was able to develop and maintain great relationships with many of my coworkers. I worked as a Security Innovations IT Intern where I was able to learn about and work with disruptive technologies in the world today. I had an incredible experience and will remember it for the rest of my life. What a trip!

It was incredible

Program: Intern in Madrid | The Global Internship

4

I'd highly recommend this program!! I had the most incredible 8 weeks and thought it was one of the coolest things I've had the opportunity to do. The internship, although some days leaving me with minor tasks or not much to do, was overall a really great experience. I do think the long hours got frustrating as I wasn't getting paid or compensated for the time I spent there, especially considering the days I didn't have much to do and would've loved to have spent exploring Madrid. However, my bosses were great and genuinely cared about me getting the most out of my time there, even though they were very busy themselves. Another thing I want to note is that I believe I was able to be of more use to my bosses as I've spent quite a while studying Spanish and have a minor in the language so I could carry out basic tasks in Spanish. I think that students that go on this program not knowing any Spanish would be somewhat unprepared, discouraged, or maybe even bored with the basic tasks their internship gives them. All in all though, I'd do the program many times over again if money was no object. It was an absolutely fantastic experience and I'm very grateful to have been able to live in such an awesome city and work at such a great company for 8 weeks of my summer.

Amazing experience, will never forget

This global internship experience truly gave me the the experience of a life time. I learned more than I could ever imagine from new social skills to new business skills. First off, I would like to speak to the experience of living in Spain. At first, the Spanish culture was interesting and a tad frustrating between the busy city of Madrid, the metro and the pace they move. It is not America but I truly Learned to love it. I learned how to navigate the metro system, how to truly slow down and look what was around you, and how to effectively communicate in Spanglish(my version of Spanish). The people were so kind there and welcoming to me every time. Secondly, this program gave me the opportunity to travel all around Europe. Every weekend was a new culture and new experience. I traveled To multiple places in Spain, Mallorca being my favorite with Valencia a close second. In addition , I traveled to Morocco, Portugal. the Amalfi Coast, and Paris. This left me with visiting over 8 cities, 5 countries and 2 continents. Third, the people specifically the OSU students I met on this trip will be friends for life. My roommates and I became extremely close and now I cant imagine my life without them. The memories we have made from traveling to just hanging out in our apartments (which had the perfect location) can make me laugh out loud just thinking about them. Lastly, my internship provided me with knowledge and skills I can Use for the rest of my life. My boss, Antonio, at Pharmex Advanced Laboratories was extremely welcoming and eager to help me learn. While I may have moved and completed tasks faster than the average Spaniard, he was always ready to give me another task each time I showed Up at his desk. The company was kind and friendly to me from the day I started. They took me to lunch and asked me to join meetings off property to give me a full experience of marketing. I designed Webpages, organized their products and created information sheets for their sales representatives. At the end of the internship, they even offered me a full time job once I graduate from school. Overall, I will never forget this trip. While I loved this experience, I do have some suggestions for improvement. At the beginning of this trip, I was on crutches for the first two weeks. It was very hard to navigate around. I wished there was some more support to help me with this considering my work was over an hour away including a 50 minute ride on the metro and a 15 minute walk (not on crutches). In addition, with work being so far away, I wish my hours were shorter or it was only a four day week. With traveling on the weekends, it was really expensive to get flights. In addition, since I wouldn’t get home from work until 7 at least, most of Madrid’s tourist activities were closed and I struggled to truly explore all of the sites Madrid had to offer. All and all, I loved this experience and could not have been happier to be able to participate. Thank you for allowing me to take part in this opportunity.

Great experience, bad value

July 25, 2018by: Jared Gerlacher - United States

To start, the overall work experience was great. While I wasn't in the exact role that I desired, I definitely was in a great company with a lot of capabilities to learn. The area we stayed in was also nice, Chelsea is very beautiful, and London has a lot of great things to do. In that sense, my experience was top notch. Now the bad. The accommodations were extremely tiny while also being expensive. We also paid top dollar to get here, and really was not provided anything other than the placement and the accommodations. We should have had other expenses covered like travel and plane tickets. Not even factoring in the money that was spent on food and other activities, the price for this experience was much too high. If I had been in a worse work situation, I would be very distraught about how I had spent my time and money this summer, and I know there are students that were.

Good overall experience, changes could make it better

July 25, 2018by: John DeGroft - United States

When getting placed for the internship, I asked to be placed at a larger more established company and said I would prefer to not work at a newer firm or start up. I was placed at a start up. While my experience wasn't bad, it wasn't what I had asked for at all. Madison Marino was a great resource and did a good job. The only other real problem I had with the program other than not getting the placement I wanted, was the living situation. Lightfoot hall while it is in a good area (Chelsea) is extremely small and gets ridiculously hot. It is literally half of the size of an Ohio State dorm room and doesn't have AC. Even after spending over 50 pounds on fans, I still will sweat in the room after being there for just 15 minutes.

The best summer yet!

The Global Internship by the We Find Group gave me the most incredible opportunity to experience time aboard while also getting amazing work exposure. They were able to match me with the perfect company by having wonderful directors that took the time to get to know me and what I wanted out of my summer abroad. The program was helpful, supportive, understanding, and genuinely cared about my experience aboard. I had the summer of a lifetime and cannot thank the We Find Group! The only thing I would change going forward is the living accommodations. Although the accommodations were in a great location, I would have liked something a little bit bigger and more apartment style, rather than dorm style! I also think it would be cool to consider extending the program and instead of working 5 days a week we would work 4 days week, but be there for a longer amount of time - just something to consider. Other than those suggestions, the We Find Group could not have put together a better summer!

Such an amazing experience!!

This internship has been one of the best experiences of my entire life! I've made so many new friends & connections from being abroad this summer! I can't believe I was ever nervous to do this, I don't want to leave London in just a few days.

I had a great time during this program. I took advantage of every opportunity in front of me. I would recommend this to anyone who thinks they want to live out of the country because this program helps you to see if that is something you would like in your future career.

Once in a lifetime opportunity

My time in London was the most amazing experience of my life. Not only was I able to gain valuable work experience, but I was able to become a part of the culture in London, as well as other countries in Europe. The accommodations in Chelsea were a perfect location as Chelsea is one of the nicest areas in London. I highly recommend doing this experience!

Best summer ever!

I absolutely loved spending my summer interning abroad in London! Not only did I gain valuable experience through my internship, but I also had so much time to explore London and even travel to other countries on the weekends. It was an unforgettable summer full of making new friends abroad as well as experiencing the work culture in a country other than what I'm used to. Although Lightfoot Hall wasn't my favorite place to live, Chelsea was a very nice location to stay in and it was totally worth living there if it meant I got to have some of the most memorable 8 weeks of my life. Madison Carroll and Madison Marino were both so friendly and helpful throughout the whole experience. Did I mention that I think London is just about the coolest place in the whole world? I would highly recommend this program to anybody who is considering it!

A great experience both personally and professionally

My experience with The Global Internship program has been very positive overall. I was able to be placed in an extremely relevant field of business that matches my career goals and has helped me to learn and grow as a professional so much. Although I think we could have been living in an area more suitable for young professionals, I always felt safe in/near my living accommodations. There were always social activities planned so we could meet everybody on this program!

An unmatched experience

July 25, 2018by: Audrey Dearing - United States
4

Overall, the program is one I would recommend to anyone. I gained unmatched experience working in my field for a company I enjoy, and I got to make lifelong friends along the way. However, there are a number of things that could be improved about the program. More transparency about costs (transportation card, Visa, cost of living in the very expensive Chelsea area, etc.) would be beneficial, and gaining more recommendations and insider perspective on London itself would be beneficial as well. Overall, I really enjoyed the program and wouldn't want to spend my summer anywhere else.

This internship has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I couldn’t have asked for a better internship. My coworkers were amazing and I learned so much. The social life in London is incomparable to anything I’ve ever experienced. I felt like this program gave me the tools and guidance I needed going abroad.

I had a great time during my internship in London. I had the opportunity to see all different parts of the country and try out lots of new experiences. I always felt safe and knew where to get help from. I would recommend doing this program to literally anyone.

I was placed with the MOST INCREDIBLE internship! I definitely threw the team at We Find Group a curveball when I asked for an internship in the industry I requested, but they absolutely smashed it with the company I ultimately ended up with, allowing me to develop a network in 2 months that I could have only dreamed of back in the States after years of working in the industry. The only negative thing I have to say is the overall cost/accommodations. This trip was incredibly expensive (to be expected, as London is one of the most expensive cities in the world) but I really thought the program fees would have included more than the occasional dinner and drinks at the beginning and end of the trip. As for the accommodations, the location was great (albeit the surrounding area was INCREDIBLY expensive), but having no AC for months in a closet of a room that had almost zero ventilation made for a long two months when it came to lounge time or sleeping. Other than that, the overall experience was great and definitely something that will impact my life and career for years to come!

My internship in London has been an amazing learning experience that I will never forget. My summer has been full of traveling Europe with awesome people and I’ve had so much fun. There has been great support from the global internship team and my company has done a great job of making me feel at home.

Although I did not really know what I was getting myself into when I was accepted into the program and learned some in the lead up to the program. The information given was enough to plan for the trip but more would have been very useful. Once we landed in London the experience truly began. I made lifelong friends and gained rare experience that will truly set me apart going forward and something I believe will have the biggest impact.

I am going to be completely honest, I was extremely nervous to leave the United States to work abroad. I was nervous for work, the culture shock, and in dependency. A group of friends and I stopped in Iceland before and that actually helped ease the tension. When I arrived in London, I knew this was the city for me. It was a more spread out New York City. I love the idea of that. Weekend after each other, I kept on having the best time of my life. I did not know when it was going to stop. Well, all I know is I am going to stop when I go back to the USA.

Overall, the Intern in London program was a great experience. Throughout the entire process, Madison was easy to communicate with If any questions arose. I loved my time working at Hackett London, the people I met, and having the ability to travel throughout the UK and Europe. My only complaints are less about the program but with BUNAC -- I originally had another internship for 6 months before I was to leave but BUNAC refused to sponsor me, so We Find Group had to scramble to find me a new placement less than 3 weeks before my departure. Both Miguel and Madison were straightforward with updating me, though I did have to pay several hundred dollars more to be able to leave on time and the internship I ended up with did not challenge me as much as the other would have.

Awesome program. Really helpful throughout the VISA process and making sure everything is ok. Loved my internship, they really found me a company that fit all my desires. Even with working 5 days a week I was able to travel to Paris, Barcelona, and Amsterdam on the weekends. (We were allowed to take 2 days off from work). London has so much to do and explore.

London is absolutely gorgeous and is one of the most bustling cities in the world. It not only has cultural attractions but also a good mix of historical attractions. My time here was nothing short of amazing but people should keep in mind it's a large city so that makes it expensive. My internship was interesting and my coworkers were nice but it was hard to adjust the first couple of days while here (jet lag and all that). The accommodations were small, dirty, and the front desk was always rude. I felt being in Chelsea was too far west from the city and made everything that much more expensive, but it is an extremely safe area. I was taken aback and upset by how little the fee for the program covered from an Oyster card to a visa which in the end was an extra $1000. I felt that for the price I paid, I should have received more. My experience with the workplace, the other students in the program, and the lovely city were 10/10. As for the price, my accommodations, and the "extras" required was around 2.3/10

I had a great time in London and it will be a summer full of memories for the rest of my life. I came in not knowing anyone and now have great new friends that I got to experience other countries with. I got to gain work experience and travel all in one, you never have a day of being bored. I really enjoyed the people I worked with so it made my time go by so fast and the end of the time came faster than I could have ever imagined.

Through The Global Internship I was able to live and work in one of the financial capitals of the world for two months! Overall, I had a great work experience, made a lot of new friends, and was able to travel around Europe on a few different weekends. I think that 2 months is the perfect amount of time for your first abroad experience. This program definitely strove to place me in an internship based around my major and interests. My only qualm with this program, which is less of an issue with The Global Internship program and more of an issue with the actual dormitory, were our accommodations. The large majority of this trips expense was for housing and I was rather disappointed with where we were placed but I am going to write a separate Google review for Lightfoot :) I would give this experience a 9/10 overall and would recommend to anybody!

The program itself is an experience of a life time. I really enjoyed my internship, but the accommodations were subpar to be honest. There was no AC during an incredibly hot summer and the kitchen became virtually unusable towards the middle-end of the program. Gross to be completely honest. The placement process was good although some hiccups were along the way. Overall, cool experience.

B2B summer internship in Lisbon, Portugal

July 16, 2018by: Addison Schroeder - United States

I spent 8 weeks this summer in Lisbon, Portugal doing an internship at the Wimdu call center. Wimdu is an online platform that offers housing all over the world, much like Airbnb. During the first couple of weeks of my internship i completed on boarding and shadowed many of the workers. I was able to get a feel for what the company is and how the company worked behind the scenes. I then was assigned to give a presentation on what I had learned/observed those past first weeks and present it to my manager Patricia. The next task i was given was to research the company's methods of payment and whether or not the company should start to accept Bitcoin. I had to work with stats and company information in order to make an analysis. Also, for a few days I was given the opportunity to work with the marketing and data analysis representatives in Lisbon on a project they were working on. We were doing research on a possible future growth opportunity for the company having to do with fully serviced rentals. Then for the last 3 weeks I was assigned to do "research" for the company. I had to go through Airbnb guest in New York and help find potential new clients that had more than one offer. I also was in charge of escalating new job tickets assigned to the B2B department. I would generally check that 3-4 times a day and assign them as they came in. my last task was just to make a PowerPoint presentation about my final research task. The company has a good atmosphere with lots of diversity within. As for outside work, Lisbon is a beautiful city and there is so much to do/explore. On the weekends my roommates and I went to the beach, experienced Lisbon´s major festivals, ate lots of new food and too many pastries to count. The internship happened over prime time because the world cup happened to be going on and that was an experience in itself given the popularity of soccer in Europe. We traveled to Porto for the festival of São João, to Sintra to see the castle, and to other smaller areas around Lisbon. I had the chance to travel to Malaga, Spain for a quick weekend trip and also to Rome. My experience abroad is one I will remember for ever. I saw so many monumental things, tried new food, and made life long friends.

I learned so much on this trip about both living and working in an international environment. The program was extremely accommodating and helped me with any issues I had. The apartments were very nice and had everything we needed. They were also in a great neighbourhood in chambers, which was only a short metro away to both work and the center of the city.

I really appreciate the work that was done for my placement. I was ecstatic and appreciative of my placement, but the internship itself has been disappointing. I do not feel like I have a point of contact besides my boss who is very busy and therefore gives us little time/interactions/work to do. I think because we are unpaid means that we aren't taken that serious and they do not feel the need to give us real work. The living accommodations were also somewhat disappointing compared to those of other people I have met in Madrid from other university programs. I think the staff at We Find Group was fantastic and supportive.

Overall, I had a great time exploring Madrid. We were given plenty of suggestions for fun activities around the city, as well as options to take trips to other cities. The accommodations were nice, and when I had issues with two of my fans the staff was polite and willing to help! My only critique would be my internship placement. I felt that my internship sounded much nicer on paper, and my interviewers made the job seem much more interesting and marketing focused than it actually was. It also seemed as though my company did not have much marketing work for me to do. I would suggest that students do plenty of outside research if they're thinking about interning with a company that they have never heard of before. Despite this, I did learn a lot about Spain's culture and language!

My experience in Madrid was amazing. The program was organized and helpful and being in Madrid allowed me to experience an entirely new culture and meet tons of amazing people. However, my internship was not as expected. While I worked for a great company I often had nothing to do and they did not like when I asked for work. Being at the company that I was I often felt I was missing out on all Madrid and the program had to offer. I worked till 6pm with an hour commute home (11 hours total) while others finished at 2pm. I often had to miss the program events as they were often scheduled while myself and other interns were still at work. Had the hours been more uniform across the program I think it would improve the program greatly. I felt the accommodations where great and located closely to the metro system which made it super easy and convenient to get around! Overall, I think We Find Group does a great job with their program and would recommend it to others just make sure you confirm the information from your selection is truly what you will be receiving.

My internship in Spain

July 11, 2018by: MacKenzie Ferguson - United States

My internship began on rocky terms. I felt that when I first arrived I was super underprepared for what awaited me. My Spanish was beginner level and being placed with a family that didn't speak a word of it was less than what I expected. They still turned out to be amazing and more than helpful but it would have been nice to know so I could have had that knowledge before arriving. Aside from that, beginning work was more than jarring my first week. The directions I recieved to get to work were not correct and no directions were given to me to get home. I never even made it to work on my first day because I wasn´t able to find the building. When I was escorted to work the following day by my boss things went much smoother. I eventually settled into a set schedule and were given tasks that reflected my studies at the university. Once I became comfortable with my surroundings, I had a great time. The excursions were more than I expected them to be, the people in charge were the perfect people for the job, and I met some amazing people along the way.

This program was definitely an amazing opportunity that everyone should take advantage of. Madrid is a huge city with a lot to experience along with cheap flights to other European countries for weekend trips. The only concerning part of this program is how much the overall experience depends your internship placement. I was lucky to get a company with great hours, but some people barely had any time outside of work to explore Madrid. The accommodations had a great location close to the metro. Also, it was nice having an apartment with a kitchen and other amenities because it felt more like a home than a dorm.

My Rocky Experience Abroad

July 11, 2018by: SSS - Madrid

Program: Intern in Madrid | The Global Internship

1

Everything about my internship abroad experience was amazing except the actual internship itself. The most disappointing thing to me was my boss. Obviously We Find Group had no control over this, however, she made a big part of my trip miserable since the very first week. She was constantly yelling at me and making up lies and accusations about who I am as a person which was extremely degrading. The most disheartening part about all of this was I went into this internship beyond excited and putting in 110% effort into all of my work, as well as going out of my way to try and make a good impression on my boss. Nothing seemed to work. As the internship went on there became little to no interaction between my boss an I, not even acknowledgment when she came in to work in the morning, but somehow I was still getting yelled at for accusations she would make. It got to the point where see was texting me on the weekends yelling at me and ruining parts of my trips for me. Again, We Find Group has no control over someone else's personality and the way she was acting, and were extremely comforting and gave me all the advice they could throughout this program. The last negative thing I am going to say is that I think the hours on the work days are really unfair. There are some people who have to work from 10-2 everyday and then there are people who are working from 9-6 with an hour commute to and from work, which is what I had. I think this is extremely unfair when half of your friends are getting to explore Madrid while you're sitting in an office. It also seemed ridiculous that our planned events through the program were almost always before I got home from work so I could not attend those either. I think everyone should have the same hours or at least very similar hours. I also don't think it is a good idea for students to be at work and traveling to work for 11 hours of the day when we are paying a ton of money to be abroad. That really only leaves three hours of free time before you're in bed or too exhausted to do anything. I understand that we are here for an internship but I also understand that we are in Europe and would like to explore and see the amazing city of Madrid. All of that being said, the rest of the trip was absolutely amazing. I met new people that I probably would have never had the chance to meet without this program, I explored and saw things that I never imagined I would have been able to see in my lifetime, and I ate so much amazing food that you cannot find in the United States. The Spanish culture is extremely laid back and fun, and it is extremely interesting experience truly being able to live here. Another huge aspect to this program that I loved, was yes there are rules to the program, that being said you have a ton of freedom, We Find Group is not telling you that you have to stay in Madrid every weekend, they want you to travel and see the world, they even provide an amazing company called CityLife that give discounted prices and you don't have to deal with the hassle of finding a hotel and booking things for you to do while you're there. Lastly, my Spanish speaking skills have improved immensely. The language barrier is really difficult, in the work place most people will try and speak English to you but once you step out of work you really have to speak in Spanish most places, which in my opinion is a good thing, it expands your knowledge and makes you more confident when speaking. Thank you We Find Group for this life-changing experience.

This summer in Madrid and traveling to the surrounding cities and countries was one that I will certainly never forget. Not only did I learn a lot about Spain's work culture and social culture but I was lucky enough to be able to do it with 15 of my friends from school. Every day consisted of going to work for the first half of the day and learning about all the different types of ways Spain's work culture and economy differ from that of my home country the United States, and every afternoon and night was filled with seemingly unending things to do and see. Weekends were spent traveling to the surrounding places including Paris, Barcelona, Segovia, Portugal, Amsterdam and Ibiza. Every one of these places is so different from the other in every aspect, and an be accessed for cheap by train, bus, or plane. This internship will challenge you in ways you never expected both professionally and culturally, and will be one of the best experiences of your life if you take advantage of it.

I have loveddddd my experience abroad! This has been such an amazing trip I don't want to go back to the states! I loved spending time in Madrid and traveling to other beautiful cities in Spain. I would recommend going abroad to anyone. Everyone I have met has been so welcoming and kind. The WeFind group has been very helpful, I have enjoyed having Debora and Madison to guide us through this experience. They always made sure that we knew that they are only a text or phone call away if we needed anything. My school's program is a little different than others because we are also paired with the study abroad program through BGSU, so we live with host families in Alcala de Henares. So the commute to my internship everyday was the most frustrating part because it takes roughly 1.5 hours each way via public transportation to get back to my home in Alcala de Henares. But I understand that there are more business opportunities here in Madrid. I did like working for CSM. The office was small so the employees were all good friends, and they were very nice and made us feel comfortable. I have always had a project to work on, there were never any days that I was left sitting at my desk all day with nothing to do. So that was nice that they stayed on-top of things when it came to giving us projects to work on. Whenever I approached someone with a question, they were always very helpful. Although, I did not like one of the projects I was working on because it had nothing to do with my major, marketing, because it was basically just doing soccer statistics in Excel. However, I did enjoy the other project I worked on, more related to marketing and brands and much more interesting. I just wish I learned a little more skills related to my major.

This is an amazing experience for anyone, especially those who love good food, amazing people and breathtaking scenery. Whats cool about this company is they give you a choice to live alone which people stayed in apartments in Madrid, or do like i did and stay with host families which where in Alcala De Henares. The host families are nice, and really want you to have a good time, but beware most only speak Spanish but you get use to it and it helps you practice. Try and request Mar for your host family because shes the best cook, she takes you places to show you the real Alcala and her family who all live close to her are very inviting and will request that you join them to festivals, sporting events and travel. Internship are fun and depending on your major, you get some really cool offers. If you want to really get involved in a company then go with the smaller companies because they have a lot more critical work to do and you work closer with higher ups such as CEOs, COOs, etc.

When thinking about traveling abroad, typically Paris, London, or Madrid come to mind for students. However, when I went abroad, I was looking for something completely unique that would allow me to form my own experiences and opinions on a city. By deciding to travel to Lisbon, I was able to do just that. I had opportunities here that I do not believe would be available in other cities. With a low cost of living and a high trust in me by management at my internship, I was able to truly thrive while in Lisbon. I grew both professionally and as a person, and I am forever grateful to this program for this.

My experience in Madrid was amazing! There was so much to do and see and so many places in Europe to travel to! I really enjoyed the people I got to meet on the program and the great work experience I got. I wish the internship wouldn´t have had such long hours, as we are in Spain and want to travel more and see the city a lot. The experience I got was incredible and something i´ll never forget.

Everyone from we find is extremely friendly and helpful and were very proactive whenever I expressed my complaints, which was great. There were a few issues throughout my time abroad with my internship, as well as pre-departure. I was not interviewed for my internship until three days before leaving for Spain. Everything was extremely last minute, we were not given a lot of details and were told this was normal not to worry. The description I was given about my position at my internship was completely wrong, the company sent in a random description from a previous intern, which had nothing to do with my major. The only tasks I was given for over half of my time with the company was proofreading content for social media and translating large power points from Spanish to English.

It was fantastic can't ask for much more. Only thing that could be fixed was get information out to the interns sooner. I didn't find out who I was working for until a week before I left. I am grateful for the opportunity we find was able to give to me here in Spain.

The program was an incredible experience for me. I have never been out of the country and while I was here I was able to explore Spain and other parts of Europe with other students and friends. The internship I was placed in put me out of my comfort zone and I learned a lot interning in Madrid. While The Global Internship did everything they could placed me in the ideal internship, my internship did not turn out like the the internship description. The work was minimal and the environment was uncomfortable. However, I was able to learn a lot of Spanish and adapt to work in a new culture.

This Program allows the opportunity to push your comfort zone with new work experience and the ability to explore Europe. I enjoyed my 2 months in Madrid. I loved my company that I was paired with a grew from the experience. There was plenty of time with my job to be able to explore Madrid also. I think the accommodations were nice as well, however I wish we were in a different suburb even if it was a further commute to work.

Overall, I would say this program is just average. I, as well as many of the other interns, have not been extremely satisfied with our internship placements. Although I have truly come to know and love my coworkers like family, the "work" aspect of the internship is lacking. Many of these companies are unprepared for interns and have not planned out enough tasks. Furthermore, the tasks assigned are often much too simple for the students´skill levels. WeFind Group should more clearly communicate with these companies students´abilities and high desire to receive exposure to the business world (instead of just translating documents from Spanish to English). The accommodations were better than average in my opinion and I don´t have anything negative to say about them. In regards to the cost of the program ($5,000 with the flight not included ), it was never explained to us in further detail exactly where all the money went. This needs to change in my opinion. Regarding in-country activities and experiences, probably only 25% of those planned were actually executed. The best part of this trip was meeting my incredible coworkers and other interns on this trip. I´ve certainly made memories to last a lifetime, but mostly because of my own work and investment.

I believe this company has a lot of great contacts to large companies. So, if you would like a big name on your resume, this program is for you. However, only about 25% of the interns get a real internship experience where they are learning valuable information and making a difference in the company. I loved being in Madrid, but I think this company still needs time to grow and improve.

While I was here, I had a great time exploring Madrid and living abroad! I definitely gained a lot of Spanish skills and learned a lot at my internship. While my internship was fantastic, I do wish there was more work for me to do at times. The process of actually getting the internship was very hidden and I wish I had more knowledge about what goes on and how they place you. While I was happy with my placement, I know quite a few people who were placed in industries and jobs that had nothing to do with what they wanted.

I knew i always wanted to go abroad but with my schedule and love for my school I knew a semester abroad probably would not workout, so when i saw the opportunity to intern abroad over the summer it seemed like the perfect alternative. My experience here in Madrid has been everything i could have imagined and more. Thats not to say it didnt come with some surprises as well. I knew coming into this i would have to work but didnt really realize the toll a 9 to 5 job could take on you. I sometimes just needed to go home after work and relax instead of explore because i was so exhausted. The weekends though made up for stressful and busy work weeks. Getting to travel or explore madrid really makes a difference and enhanced my trip in so many ways. I would recommend staying in Madrid at least 4 or 5 of the weekends to really get to know the city. I traveled three of the weekends and thought that was the perfect amount of time to be out of Madrid and allowing me time to see everything Madrid has to offer. I am going to be so sad to leave but am excited to go on a post trip for nine days and would definitely recommend to anyone to add a pre or post trip to their Madrid internship plans. Overall this has been an amazing experience and i have seen and learned a lot.

I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to live and work abroad this summer! I have always wanted to travel abroad, but prior to this experience, I had never left the United States before. The Global Internship Program and We Find Group made it easy to not only begin the journey abroad, but also adjust to life in a different country. The program helps you every step of the way- from sending your resume to partner companies and helping you arrange your pre-departure plans to organizing events to experience the city and serving as your housing/work representative if need be. If it were not for this program, I would have never had the opportunity to work and live abroad for such an extended period of time. The experience of every single person on the trip is different, but it seems that no one ever has anything bad to say about their experience. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is unsure if they would like to live and or work abroad! I also used this time to explore working at a company that is bigger than some I have worked at previous. I recommend using this time to explore job options/career paths, learn more about yourself, and (of course) experience a new country and culture!

While it was incredible to be able to go abroad and experience working in another country, I think the internship placements weren't very applicable to what I applied for, and I know a lot of students felt this way as well. If this program is sending so many students to one country for internships, they should have that many jobs available... aka don't throw 6 students into a company who gives no work or tasks to these individuals. It's a waste of the company's time and the students'. I came here with an open mind and the intention to learn new things - which I did. However, many weren't applicable to what I was expecting or what was stated by our coordinators.

This program is a really cool opportunity to gain internship experience while immersing yourself in a different language/culture. I had a marketing internship at Pharmex and it was a good experience. All of my co workers were very nice and I was in a comfortable, safe, and clean work environment. My boss was super helpful and loved to teach me about the industry. My only complaint is that between travel and work, I worked 10 hour days and was exhausted for most of my trip and did not get to experience Madrid as much as I would have liked to. I learned amazing things from this internship and this experience but I wish it was more regualted so that all interns had the same hours because I was always the last person of my entire friend group to come home and they would often already be out doing things in the city before I was even off of work. Other than that, the people and the organization of the trip was amazing. I DO recommend this internship.

I really enjoyed my time in London. From working at an internationally known company to living in a urban area of the city with close proximity to many of the most notable sights, I certainly had a unique combination. I was very glad to have gone on this trip through a program that allowed me to experience a business-related internship while I spent a significant amount of time overseas. Internship in London with Cox Auto

July 27, 2017by: Hung-Chi Chen - United States

For the eight weeks from June to July of 2017, I did an internship at Cox Automotive- Data Solutions in London. Cox Automotive is one of the world leading companies providing a series of services in the used car industry. They utilize the newest software, Tableau, to assist with purchasing and selling decisions. The technology allows the team to make smarter choices conducting data analysis. It was my honour to participate in the internship program at Cox Automotive. Before I came to Cox, I never had any Tableau experience. Eight weeks later, I learned a great deal about how to proficiently operate Tableau and accurately interpret data insights to assist our clients. The time went quickly at Cox Automotive because I actually felt fulfilled and accomplished. I was very fortunate that I got the chance to attend the Tableau conference while in London. The event was eye-opening; it showed me what Tableau can do and what analysis can be delivered in a visualized way. The knowledge I learned at the conference helped me along the way of the internship period. I learned Tableau literally from the scratch. For the first couple weeks, I participated in the online courses to learn the functionality and basic syntax. Next, I rebuilt some existing dashboards to simulate what the actual requests were like. As I became more familiar with Tableau, I was assigned to generate reports for internal customers who requested data insights. Over the last couple weeks at Cox, I had a more comprehensive project to work on, and created a meaningful dashboard for the team that will be continually used after I leave. I enjoyed every moment I had at Cox Automotive. The work environment was comfortable and the colleagues were easy to get along with. I was very thankful that people were very kind to me and they assisted me when I had questions. Overall, I would recommend to anyone interested in Data Analysis to work or intern at Cox Automotive- Data Solutions. It was an opportunity and experience that I could not be more grateful for. I learned so many things at Hackett, not just how to do certain tasks, but also how the retail industry runs, how to behave and act in professional settings, and how to work with people from various cultures. The people I worked with were welcoming, ready to teach me, and overall pleasant company to have during my work days. Separate from that the people I met on the program were amazing, not being an OSU student I was worried it would be hard to meet people, but it was very easy and I met an amazing group of people who I got to share travel, new experiences, and many memories with.

WeFindGroup helped connect me to Hackett London, a luxury British menswear company. I had a great experience at the company and my boss was incredible. My in-country advisors were awesome and I enjoyed getting to know them. Had I done this again, I probably wouldn't go through WeFindGroup however due to two aspects: 1. the cost and 2. the lack of pay and/or reimbursement for any living, travel, visa costs, etc. If this was someone's first internship, I think this would be completely fine, but going from multiple paid internships to this was a struggle. I think they should offer the option of paid internships to students with more experience in their field. All of the interns at my company are paid aside from the WeFindGroup interns, so it made us feel much less valued by our company in comparison. Aside from my internship, I had the opportunity to travel to 9 new countries on the weekends, which was absolutely incredible. The balance between travel and work experience was perfect. Additionally, 8 weeks was a good amount of time for this internship.

While there were things that I strongly disliked about this program, such as the miscommunication of what would be provided (towels, kitchen utensils, etc.), and the accommodations being below my expectations for the high price paid, there were still a number of things I really enjoyed about this program. First was the freedom granted to live my life normally and interact with those around me. I really felt that I got the opportunity to live like a native here and I feel like I've learned the city really well. I'm also happy that I will get to keep hanging out with a lot of the people when I get back to OSU, as most of the participants are students there. I liked that we got to travel wherever/whenever and that we got two absent days at work. That was really helpful. Overall I had a great experience feel that my social skills have really developed because of this program.

Life changing summer

July 24, 2017by: Lauren Conaway - United States

This summer I believe has been a pivotal one for me. I think I have learned more about myself and what I want for my future more than I have in the 2 years I have been to college. Experiencing first hand what it is like to work a 9-5 job in a professional setting is something that I believe every person should experience before going out into the real world. It teaches you how to interact with others, communicate, and understand what a day to day job will entail after college is over. Being in another country teaches you more about yourself, people around you and how to adapt to situations that you aren't necessarily comfortable in. You are taken out of your comfort zone by going into an internship and country almost blindsided but you learn how to figure out your situation and overcome challenges you probably never thought you were able to overcome. I would recommend this experience to anyone that is looking for an internship/ life changing experience. Being able to work 9-5, 5 days a week is one thing, but being able to do it in another country is another. I truly believe I have changed within this 2 month period and in the best way possible.

The program is an excellent thing to go through as business student. It helps you practically apply many of the theoretical stuff that you learn in the classroom. At my company, I have had the exposure that I needed to enhance my problem solving and analytical skills. Working and analysing large business database, preparing slide deck for an important meeting with a client, writing out business propositions, and developing end-to-end product portfolios include some of the important business skills that I have had the pleasure of acquiring through my work this summer. I have also had great time travelling outside of my internship country

This internship experience was one of the best things I have ever done in my life. It was a pivotal moment in my life and educational experience as well. The two months I spent in London taught me what life outside of the USA is like and taught me to appreciate different cultures a lot more. I learned real work experience and the dynamics of a workplace in a different country. I don't think I would have learned or had an experience like this if I stated in the states for an internship and am so thankful for having an opportunity like this.

I learned a lot through my job and also was able to practice speaking Spanish with my coworkers which I thoroughly enjoyed. I had the time of my life while interning in Spain this summer. I have grown so much as an individual in more ways than I would have imagined, but also made connections with people that will last a lifetime. I gained confidence, independence, and some of my best friends. I am so happy that I chose to travel to Spain and would recommend the experience to anyone.

Definitely would recommend this program for an internship abroad. The only complaint I have would be the living accommodations as I wish we were in apartment style housing rather than dorm style. Overall I had a great experience & am very happy I participated.

This program exceeded my expectations by far. Working in another country not only helped me professionally, but also I learned how to adapt to a different culture and step out of my comfort zone. Additionally the WeFind Group staff were all helpful and friendly and definitely made my overall experience as enjoyable as it could be!

Having the opportunity to intern in Europe this summer was awesome. It was a unique learning experience that I would not have had if it weren't for We Find Group. My company had very nice employees and spoke perfect english, however, my job placement was not what I signed up for. I was told I would receive an accounting/finance internship and received a company researching position. We Find Group was very helpful throughout the summer with anything that we needed however I would have liked to know exactly what job I was actually getting.

When I first decided to come to Madrid for an internship I didn't know what to expect, but as these eight weeks come to an end I can honestly say this has been one of the best, most eye opening experiences I've ever had. Not only has it provided me with valuable insight into the business world, but it's also given me some memories I'll never forget.

It was definitely a step out of my comfort zone, but I couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity.

I was a bit hesitant to take part in this program when I was first accepted due to the fact that it was pretty expensive and the internship was unpaid. Looking back now, I have no doubt that it was worth every penny. I had one of the best experiences of my life over the course of these past two months. We Find Group set me up with TMF Group, an international professional services firm. I worked some long hours, but I was able to learn so much from my coworkers and I genuinely enjoyed going into work. It was also great to have people in the group that we could go to for anything, whether it be work related or just recommendations on what to do in Madrid. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone that is thinking about doing it.

I sincerely had one of the best experiences of my life in Spain this summer. The We Find Group is made up of some of the friendliest, kindest, and most helpful people. They worked tirelessly to make my experience a great one. I originally wasn't happy with my job placement, and they placed me somewhere new that was a better fit in a timely and gracious manner. Being able to explore Spain and a couple of other countries on weekends was such an amazing opportunity, as was learning more about my career path and the Spanish work culture. I highly, highly recommend doing this program -- you will NOT regret it!

Having the opportunity to work and live in Madrid is really the experience of a lifetime. Being able to live in Europe has been amazing, I was able to travel and experience a culture different than my own. This trip has helped me grow as an individual and as a business student in many ways. I have learned how to break through barriers, become more adaptable and look at the positives in every situation through my experiences on this trip. Even though my experience in Europe was amazing, I faced many struggles during my time here. Professionally, my placement company on this trip was extremely different than what was communicated with me. In my cover letter and in my interviews I expressed interest in a position in accounting/finance, as that is my field of study and I wanted to gain more experience in my field. In my placement choice interview I was told that my internship with LOVIS would be the best for my field. Therefore, it was very disheartening when I arrived to my internship and was given a sales project for eight weeks. I expressed my concerns to the program on day three and there was much resistance to replace me. I was told that the misrepresentation is just “Spanish culture” and that at least I am getting “business experience”. With much persistence the advice given to me was to ask for accounting work. As a solution, I did and was given some accounting work. However, I was then responsible for learning the material on my own through research. I had no contact with anyone in my field of work, and when I requested help from the program to obtain a contact I was not given one. This showed me that there was no intention of me initially receiving the internship work I was originally told I would be when I was placed. I felt as though I could not represent myself or my school in the best light due to the false information I was give pre-departure. In the end I learned many valuable behavioral skills such as; conflict resolution, communication, and adaptability. Even though these skills are integral to my professional growth, my expectations of this internship were far from met due to the miscommunication to me and misrepresentation of my internship from the program. In addition to the professional side, up until a week pre-departure the accommodations were misrepresented to us as well. When paying the non-refundable deposit, we were told we would be in an apartment on gran via with a kitchen. Upon our arrival we were placed in dorms, about a twenty-minute metro ride form gran via, with no kitchen. Our compensation was free breakfast and dinner through the dorm meal plan. As this is a generous compensation, it is still a very large inconvenience. The food given out in the accommodations made me physically sick on multiple occasions due to some dietary preferences that I planned on meeting through cooking. If I was informed of the food situation I would have budgeted the money to be eating out every meal. However, this was not communicated to us until the week before departure. Additionally, if I would have known that I would then be living in a dorm with a dorm meal plan and have to pay for my flight, accommodations, other travel, and daily meals, I may have reconsidered the trip all together due to the cost. I still learned valuable skills and had an amazing cultural experience in Europe. That is something I am eternally grateful for due to this opportunity, however as a service, I was misled by the program the majority of my pre-departure and time in Spain

The internship I did in the summer of 2017 in Madrid was honestly one of the best and most unique experiences of my life. I´m truly glad that I did a working internship instead of a study abroad. In my opinion, getting work experience in another country is more interesting than studying in another country. I truly feel like I got fully immersed in the culture here by working and not studying, sitting in a classroom. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants an experience. It was easy to travel on the weekends, and the rest of spain, outside of Madrid, was amazing. Everyone should try this.

Participating in an internship abroad was one of the greatest choices that I have made in college. Over the past 8 weeks I have been able to develop skills in an international business setting that simply can not be taught in a classroom. I was able to preform market analysis for my company as well as develop different marketing plans for them. The We Find Group team was amazing. They were always there to help out, and provided valuable coaching feedback regarding my internship. This program allowed me to see many different parts of Europe over the 8 weeks I was in Spain, and I was also able to make many new connections from students from different universities. I had a great experience interning in Spain this summer. I met a ton of new people from Ohio State with whom I have become close friends. I enjoyed exploring the city of Madrid as well as other European cities. I was fortunate enough to work at CBRE, a commercial real estate company, in Madrid. The offices were incredible and everybody I worked with was very helpful and kind. I was constantly working on meaningful tasks and projects, while collaborating with full time employees. My work experience and social experience are what made the trip so great. The one downside was that I felt the space in which we lived was not at all representative of the cost. It was clean and nice enough but left much to be desired in other aspects, such as food and location.

Through We Find Group I have had one of the best summers interning abroad in Madrid. From the minute I arrived in Madrid I felt so welcomed, and throughout the program, members of We Find Group were there to support us and provide professional coaching. They really helped to make sure that Madrid felt like a home to us. The only downside was my job placement was no Spanish required, when in reality very few people in my office spoke English, so I felt like I wasn't as prepared as I should've been for my internship. The 8 weeks went by extremely fast. This will be an incredible experience that I will carry with me.

Through We Find Group, I have spent the last eight weeks interning in Madrid at Euro-Funding Advisory Group in their International Department. Euro-Funding is a global consulting firm that specializes in the attainment of public funds for key development projects. My internship and my experience in Madrid has truly been the best time of my life. Personally and professionally speaking, I have achieved so much growth and seen so many new experiences because of this placement. We Find Group found an internship for me that matched my unique interests tailored around finance and global politics. Interning at Euro-Funding gave me a whole new perspective on how the business world operates in a new country, and it demonstrated to me a completely new field of interest. My bosses at the company were fantastic and will serve as mentors and friends in the future. I was able to learn so much just by watching them and how they work in this environment. Moreover, coming back to the United States, I will be able to use this experience to advance my professional goals in either the political or the business sector. By choosing a program where I am free on weekends, I was able to fulfill long-held dreams of traveling to Paris and London. I also spent amazing weekends in Portugal and Barcelona. Finally, the staff at We Find Group were excellent and always willing to help us all as we navigated a new country and culture. Their approach gave us great freedom but also guidance when necessary. I strongly recommend this program to anyone interested in a career-related abroad opportunity!

This year’s accommodations, although dormitory style with strict policies, were exactly what we needed as early rising interns. With breakfast, lunch and dinner provided you will be able to start and end your evening energized as well as save a lot of euros. The internship placement was spot on. As an environmental engineer I was placed as a consulting assistant for a lwheart of Madrid’s business sector. Invaluable experience was gained as my projects revolved around major global investors. I am walking away from Madrid with a professional outlook that I would not have been able to obtain in the United States. There is so much to do it will make your head spin. Weather you decided to stay in Madrid, visit the cities of Spain, or take an inexpensive flight to a neighboring country, We Find Group will help you every step along the way. Madison and Nicole were both professional, extremely knowledgeable, and most importantly approachable. You feel safe and trusted confiding and relying on these two powerful coordinators. I highly recommend WFG's Madrid program, the placement exceeded my expectations and the experience has exceeded my wildest dreams. Thank you WFG!!

This summer I was connected by We Find Group with Folli Follie, a luxury woman's clothing company, to be apart of the Marketing department as an unpaid intern. We Find Group was very helpful in finding me said internship, as well as providing fun and charismatic leaders of the program to help us with any questions we had and to be a recourse for how to fully experience what Madrid had to offer. I met a lot of amazing people through this program, and learned a lot about Spain, though one downfall would be the cost. I didn't feel that the amount I paid for our accommodations corresponded with the value of what we received. This program, if it were less expensive, would be worth every penny. I wouldn't trade my experience in the culture rich town of Madrid for anything but I know I could have experienced it just the same if not more for less money out of my pocket.

We Find Group has provided me with one of the most beneficially/unforgettable experiences of my life. I was able not only to work in Madrid but also to integrate myself within the culture of Spain. I have learned an extensive amount from my trip abroad and will be able to use my experiences to enhance the work that I complete in the future. We Find Group constantly supports the students throughout their internship experiences and tries to accommodate to everyone by ensuring that everyone is happy. I have become comfortable living in Madrid and know that I will miss living in such a lively city. I have been given the opportunity to create lasting relationships with the students on this program and have made unforgettable memories. With the weekends free, I have been able to visit 7 different countries and have experienced many of the different cultures throughout Europe. Overall, I recommend for anyone that wants to travel abroad to think about doing an internship through We Find Group. This experience gives one the opportunity to experience the workplace first-hand and to immerse themselves fully in the culture of a foreign country. An experience like this allows for students to learn about their character and to grow as business people.

Overall, I had a positive experience in Madrid this summer, however it was not because of this program. The accommodations were very misrepresented and subpar at best. The price payed for the living situation was extremely outrageous for what we were given, and the location was not preferable. My personal internship placement was fine, but I do know that a lot of other people in the program were very unhappy with their placements, as they were unrelated to what they said they wanted or a complete joke and waste of time. The friends I made through this program are unforgettable and ultimately what made this such a great experience, but in my opinion the program itself is unprofessional.

It was the best summer of my life! Madrid is such an amazing city with lots to do for students every single day. I barely slept this whole trip because there was so much I wanted to see! We Find Group was very helpful and easy to reach at all times if there were any questions about anything. Additionally, the living conditions were very nice and our rooms were cleaned once a week, just a few minutes walk to the metro and a 15 minute ride to downtown. The internship was a great experience, I was able to meet new people and work with others. My office particularly was very kind and welcoming and many spoke very good English, making the transition undoubtedly easier. Though it wasn't relevant to my major (Finance/Accounting) it was a startup which I did request and I was given a lot of tasks/responsibility which was exciting! I had such an amazing time while interning in London this past summer. From the new friends to the amazing sights of Europe, my time in London is unmatched by anything else. I was fortunate enough to be placed in an internship that matched my professional needs and desires to a T, as well as meet new coworkers that gave many suggestions of things to do and see in their home country. Beyond the outstanding professional experience, this program provided many travel opportunities that not many people are able to ever do in their lives. For example, I learned how to surf in northern Spain at a surfing camp in a small beach town called Santander. It was one of the best experiences and trips I have ever taken. If I could go back I would do this program a 1000 times over and over again. What's not to like about real work experience while simultaneously immersing yourself into a new culture?

I can't thank this program enough not only for the incredible professional experience, but also for the once in a lifetime travel with new friends met on the trip. Having the Merchandising Internship at Boden in the U.K. was a huge reason to contribute to the Fall Internship in Merchandising I received at EXPRESS. I was able to talk about real corporate fashion. It has opened countless doors for this summer and I still love to stay in touch with friends made on the program. Once in a lifetime summer!

Amazing experience interning in London

We Find Group gave me an internship experience of a lifetime in London! They were super helpful throughout the entire process; from the pre-departure information to figuring out the best internship for me. The pre-departure info included the visa application process, possible group flights, and what to expect from your internship abroad. We Find Group worked with me to make sure I had an internship in the area I was interested in. They not only found me a great internship but the 24/7 live in resident director checked in with us and gave helpful feedback/coaching every week. We Find Group also had planned events and trips in London to help me explore the city and get to know the other 30 people on the program. I made so many new friends and always had a travel buddy on the weekends. The accommodations were amazing being in the heart of London and next to a major tube station. They included a kitchen, shower, wifi, and were very comfortable. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to travel Europe while getting real work experience.

My experience in London for my summer 2016 internship was amazing! We Find Group made everything effortless. They gave tons of information on the visa process, pre-departure guide, travel information and group flights. They made sure everyone was able to contact others on the trip, if you wanted to plan ahead for weekend trips. When arriving and leaving London, they made sure we had transportation to and from our accommodation to the airport. We lived in an great part of London, with incredible views! Very close to a major underground station, which made it easy to get around. We had a group meetings and a group trip to get to know everyone else on the trip, as well as one-on-one meetings with our program director. My internship was at a FinTech company working in the operations department. I learned so many valuable skills about startup businesses while getting to work in a very diverse office! I traveled a lot and always had someone to go with! If you are nervous to go abroad because you don't know anyone, do it anyway. It is one of the most rewarding experiences and I made 30 great friends on this trip! I honestly wish I could have stayed longer!

Amazing internship experience in Madrid!

Last summer I had the experience of a lifetime interning abroad in Madrid, Spain. After being accepted to the program in January, I met with members of the We Find Group team to discuss what I wanted to get out of my internship this summer. They presented me with two excellent internship choices, and I got to choose which one I liked best. Before going abroad, they helped me prepare for my summer abroad. While in-country, my resident director and other members of the WFG team provided professional coaching and feedback along the way. Living and working in Madrid made me feel like I was a part of the city, especially because the beautiful accommodations were so close to the city center! I really enjoyed the work that I did throughout my internship, and traveling on the weekends was so much fun as well. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking for a valuable internship experience and who loves trying new things and being adventurous!

We Find Group gave me the most amazing experience of my life! They helped with providing amazing living conditions, great experiences on the weekends, and safety at all times. Whenever I was sick they helped me find help, and when I needed help communicating to my boss they were always there. Without their help, I would have been lost! Thanks so much We Find Group!

The opportunity We Find Group afforded me was a dream come true! My internship placement was focused on recruiting, the function of HR I wanted to pursue, and fashion, the industry I am most passionate about. It gave me tremendous experience that helped me to grow both personally and professionally, grew my competency as a global citizen, and allowed me to practice my Spanish language fluency. After this internship and the experience it gave me, more doors and opportunities have been opened to me as I search for HR jobs in retail here in Columbus, Ohio. It was truly the summer of a lifetime and I highly recommend the experience!

During the summer of 2014 I participated in the Madrid Spain summer internship. This trip and overall experience was one of the best decisions I made during my undergrad. Throughout this trip I was able to challenge myself personally, socially, and professionally. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to maximize their college experience.

What inspired you to travel abroad?

I began as an intern for We Find Group (WFG) nearly four years ago and have been working for the company ever since! I began as a recruitment consulting intern in Madrid, during the summer of 2013. During that internship, I worked on the recruitment side of WFG, while working to create the ideal international internship program. I’d seen some of the issues that could arise when interning abroad and I wanted to make the student experience of interning abroad was as easy, engaging, and enjoyable as possible!

What inspired you to travel abroad?

The company seemed to be quite diverse and globally connected. During my own studies, my one regret was never taking the opportunity of undertaking an overseas internship and making valuable contacts in the international business world. I found this opportunity would be rewarding in exposing students to an international working environment, new language abilities and, for many, a different culture in where they would gain practical skills and useful connections.

Traveling has always been something that I wanted to do. I love learning about other cultures and world history, so I always wanted to explore as much of the world as possible. Being in college has given me the opportunity to begin that journey and experience so many new places. Specifically, I have wanted to go to London since I was younger, and being able to participate in a program that gave me the opportunity to both work and explore at the same time seemed to be a dream come true.

I have always wanted to go abroad but never had the opportunity. My original desire to go to London was because of One Direction and Harry Potter, but what really inspired me to go abroad was when my older sister went to Madrid the year before. The second she got back all she talked about was her trip. It was probably the most annoying thing but only because I was extremely jealous.

In high school, I went to Spain for my junior spring break. I absolutely fell in love with traveling and seeing new places. I loved the culture and meeting new people. I promised myself I would find a way to get back to Europe once I was in college. In fall 2015, I studied abroad for four months in Nantes, France with the Bowling Green State University College of Business. My love and passion for traveling continued and a chance to intern in London found its way to me.

There are so many reasons I decided to apply for an international program! As a business major and in my junior year at Ohio State I knew I needed to find an internship for my last summer in school. Additionally, as a Spanish minor, I knew if I wanted to truly master the language, I needed to immerse myself in it for at least a few months while I still had the chance. As I was searching for the right opportunity for the summer, I came across a flyer in Ohio State’s business school that was promoting global internship opportunities, and they were offering a location in Madrid! It seemed too good to be true.
