Coach sports clubs and organize events and tournaments for children in impoverished communities of Tacloban City in the Philippines. You’ll gain experience running and coordinating sports clubs and integrate deeply with local communities building strong bonds with the children you coach. You’ll join an organization working to combat poverty and uplift indigent communities through educational and youth development support. Operating from their own study center and children’s park they run a range of courses and clubs designed to equip children with life skills and give them a safe space to learn and grow. As a sports coaching intern you’ll have a choice of clubs and sports to get involved with including volleyball, football, table tennis and badminton. You’ll play a role in facilitating these clubs, acting as a coach and mentor for children and you’ll also get the chance to experience coordinating and planning coaching sessions and events and tournaments too.
