Experience life as a marine scientist, contributing valuably to marine conservation, whilst learning all you need to know to become a professional diver. You’ll conduct underwater research, cataloging species, and monitoring biodiversity. You’ll also lead dives, receive divemaster training, and career guidance for professional diving with job placement training. This organization’s mission is to transform global marine ecosystems through locally-led, evidence-based conservation strategies. Operating in Bulak, Dauin, Philippines, they conduct vital research into coral reef systems and marine ecology. They then publish their findings in reports aimed at the scientific community, whilst also producing community outreach projects to inspire local community-based conservation initiatives. As an intern, you’ll dive and work in one of the most biodiverse marine regions in the world, leading dive groups, and receiving expert mentorship in professional diving. Accommodation; 3 meals a day from Monday to Saturday; all SCUBA Equipment rentals; and marine sanctuary fees.
