Human Rights Internship in South Africa
by: Roots Interns
Between research, material development, and community engagement, contribute to human rights advocacy through initiatives addressing some of South Africa’s most pressing social issues. Join a local, registered nonprofit in South Africa that works to strengthen protection systems in place for human rights advocacy and Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF). You will perform research on local policy, engage with affected community members, and drive further awareness and initiatives for positive change. Dedicated to serving vulnerable groups, this nonprofit enables interns to the transition of impactful roles through combining structure training and on-the-ground exposure while also offering direct mentorship from a team lead. Interns may choose to go in-country or remotely, as each option offers the opportunity to serve as a beacon of hope and support a meaningful cause.
