All secondary teachers are expected to teach across 11-16 year olds as a minimum. Quantum Scholars have long term established relationships with hundreds of client secondary state schools across the south east England region which includes London and all the surrounding areas away from the city. Teaching in England is a wonderful opportunity for any international teacher looking to expand the professional development and work in a country with wonderful history and culture. Teaching standards are high in England, as are the demands and expectations for quality. We are looking to recruit trained teachers from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland and Jamaica. Quantum Scholars can also help primary/elementary trained teachers but gaining sponsorship is much harder with primary schools. Having an automatic right to work in England is therefore more required for international primary teachers. We provide full support in teachers securing a teaching position in England and then throughout the relocation process.

Great travel and work experience
February 03, 2026by: Brandi McCarthy - CanadaProgram: ESL Winter Camp Teach Internship — Kuala Lumpur - January
I am having a great experience teaching in Kuala Lumpur! The staff and students are very kind, and I am gaining valuable teaching experience and confidence in the classroom, while helping students pursue their dream of learning English! The classrooms are equipped with smartboards and teaching materials are provided. It is an extremely multicultural environment with friendly, supportive staff and keen students from all over the world. The included accommodations are very comfortable - I especially enjoy the rooftop gym, yoga studio and pool! On weekends I love exploring the different markets and cultural sites around the city! KL is a fantastic, diverse city with amazing weather, food, shopping, culture, and parks! It is a great base for exploring other parts of Malaysia and SE Asia. I recommend doing this for a unique and rewarding teaching experience!
The big move
September 20, 2019by: Kareem Ballantyne - JamaicaProgram: Quantum Scholars - Teach in England
Through I have only been here a few weeks, the transition has been pretty smooth. I'm Living with a co-worker which makes commute less of a hassle. Transportation is a bit more expensive here but once you budget you will be fine. The bus system is very organised and its easy to get from one place to the next. Though I wish the food was a bit more to m liking there are great places in London that you can grab a bit to eat. That doesn't mean you can't venture into the town's market and get good food. Access to healthy is really easy here which is a big plus for me. In regards to school, my interactions have mostly been pleasant. Access to resources is really good. I really don't have to worry about printing issues here and getting materials for my classes is pretty easy. As with many places I have mixed students and mixed personalities. Most of my interactions with students have been pleasant, however, there are days when you will feel really drained. When you feel tired rest, lots of rest. But I have stayed in touch with some from the acclimatisation week, as well as I had people I knew already here. Socialising is key to keeping yourself centred while here so find people that will make your stay worth it.
Life in Bedford
September 16, 2019by: Zaheera Saley - South AfricaLife in Bedford so far has been good. Bedford is a multicultural, quaint town and the people are friendly and helpful. My school has been absolutely amazing. The support I've received from my colleagues has made it easy for me to settle in. There are some challenges but nothing I cannot overcome with perseverance and patience.
Amazing opportunity, would absolutely do it again!

It has been a challenging but good learning experience

My challenge was with housing. It took a week after finding a place to actually move into it because referencing took time & they had to call my last landlord in my home country for verification. After that I had to figure out how the pay-as-you-go system for gas & electricity works. However, the support from my school has been great in getting around & helping me to settle. They offer a caring family climate and in terms of teaching, resources are available & help is just a question away. It's all new now, but I'm settling & once I've settled I'm sure it'll be great!
A great adventure!
