Premier TEFL offers a solid 300-hr course and the lessons are very educational—I went from knowing hardly anything about teaching language to feeling like I could actually organize English lessons someday. And I did indeed land a job while I was still working on my TEFL certificate to teach Spanish, because some of the principles of teaching English generalize to teaching other languages. One thing that really makes this TEFL program stand out is the amount of support you get. Anytime you have questions or doubts, you can e-mail the staff and they are very responsive. The tutors, Anya and Laura, are available once a week for a live Zoom session, but you can e-mail them anytime and they will answer all your questions, and if they don't have an answer, they will direct you to another staff member who does. The support staff, like Olivia and Lisa, are also very helpful for your course needs and even check in to see how you're doing. Overall, I was very pleased with the value of this course and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning how to teach English.

The study materials were straight to the point, rich in content and easy to grasp. The support staff member, Laura, responded to messages promptly. My practical course sessions with Michelle Benson gave me the kind of experience and heads up that I needed to improve my one-on-one and whole-class teaching skills. I thought I would give TEFL Ireland a go, so I enrolled on the 310 hour course. It is definitely challenging, but I am really enjoying it. I have just finished the 10 hour virtual TEFL course and teaching practice with Michelle Benson. Michelle was incredibly patient and upbeat, with a great sense of humour, but she also made sure we understood how important time management is when putting our lesson plans together. Now I still have the remaining 200 plus hours or so to get through. Luckily I do love a challenge. I would absolutely recommend TEFL to anyone who has even slightly thought about doing it before, there is a course to fit you because there are plenty of options to choose from.

I have just finished the TEFL Institute’s on-line 180 hour level 5 Diploma course, and I am delighted with it. The materials are modern, clearly laid out in a multimedia format, and they feel current. My assessments were turned around quickly, and the examiners offered feedback that was both constructive and right on the mark. Everyone, both admin and teaching staff, has been unfailingly patient, encouraging, and generous with their time, while staying completely professional throughout. If Annelies had not answered my many early questions so carefully and so kindly, I doubt I would have had the nerve to begin. Those weekly Zoom tutorials with experienced, supportive tutors were also key, because I might otherwise have stayed stuck at the hurdles I faced at the start. (I am 64.) And without Jacob being so giving, and Annelies nudging me forward yet again, I probably would not have gone from the Certificate to the Diploma, which, in truth, was not nearly as hard as I feared. Given that it is a government regulated qualification at CELTA and Trinity CertTESOL level, I genuinely think the TEFL Institute Diploma represents excellent value for money. So please accept a very big “Thank you!” from me to the whole TEFL Institute team for giving me such a strong step up towards making a living abroad. I felt really fortunate coming across the 30 Hour of Teaching Business English Qualification course. Since it was my first time learning online I was a little doubtful at first, but it turned out to be a genuinely nice surprise. I just finished the 10 Hour Advanced Certificate in TEFL Classroom Methodologies Course on Zoom with Kate Popova. Kate was so engaging and managed to keep everyone interested across both sessions, we picked up loads and still had a good laugh along the way. I really enjoyed it. The course also comes with a Teaching Practice, and I loved being able to speak, present to the other students, and get that real hands on feel for what teaching is like. Kate was always on hand for any questions we had, and there is support available even after the course is over. Overall, even though there was a lot packed into it, it was never dull, it never felt rushed, and the tutor gave off such positive, relaxed vibes. Highly recommended!

I have just finished TEFL’s Highfield Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language course, and I really think TEFL is an excellent institute. I have just finished the 120 Hour Premier TEFL Course and I am already excited to start the next courses that become available. I have had hardly any issues at all throughout my experience so far. The site is really easy to use, and I love that I can complete everything in my own time. I recently joined the webinar called Teaching English in Europe: What You Need to Know with Jessica & Walter leading it. I found it really useful and packed with good information. As a newly qualified EFL teacher, I only picked up an add on course since I already hold my main certificate. I was genuinely pleasantly surprised to get a phone call asking whether I could access the platform okay and if there was anything else I wanted to ask. It is reassuring to know you are not just left to figure it all out alone. I am really happy with what is covered, and it was so useful having everything brought together in one place. The platform itself is really intuitive and helps you focus on learning, without any flashy distractions. If you want it, you can also join live tutor support sessions. The only thing I would love is a way to talk through the reflective tasks with other trainees, but that is just my personal preferance and I know the add on is meant to be self paced self study. Brilliant resources for the price.

The AI chatbot was brilliant too. I normally find chatbots buggy and frustrating, but this one actually understood the online learning platform inside and out and it answered everything I needed to ask.

I have just finished the 120 Hour Premier TEFL Course with the TEFL Institute of Ireland. It took me through every key part of teaching English, from grammar and vocabulary to phonics, pronunciation, and writing. Along the way I picked up how to build lesson plans and how to measure student progress. As I moved through each module, the material was backed up with thought provoking activities, videos that showed different classroom approaches in action, and useful website links. There was also a strong focus on practical techniques for teaching young children, teenagers, and adults. Overall, I feel this course has given me the tools and confidence to teach English as a foreign language.

I did an IELTS course through the TEFL Institute of Ireland and came away with some really useful materials to bring into my own classes, like vocabulary lists and suggested books. Overall, I feel very good about the organisation, especially since they are offering 50 free courses every week to students while everyone is stuck at home right now. I would happily enrol in another course down the line.

It gives loads of clear information on how the exam is organised, what separates the Academic and General versions, and how to approach preparation for reading, listening, writing and speaking, while also building vocabulary and thinking through the kinds of difficulties you might run into. Last year I signed up for a course thinking I could chip away at it over the summer and in between breaks, since I am already in a full time uni course and knew I could not properly commit to TEFL material yet. When I started struggling to keep up with my own uni work, I eventually made the decision that I wanted to withdraw from TEFL, but it got me nowhere even after I explained my whole situation. Total scam, please do not hand over a penny to these people. I paid for the 180 hour course at the start of October. Right away it was obvious the material is full of typos and bad grammar, which is honestly embarrassing for a TEFL course. Some of the images are just bizarre too, like one that puts Poland where Pakistan should be. Anyway, I pushed through, finished everything, and submitted it in late October or early November. They said the turnaround would be 6 to 8 weeks. Then nothing happened until late January, when I finally got a response saying they were backed up. From there I was emailing over and over, getting ignored until March. At that point they told me I had to redo two parts of the test because one audio bit had not worked and another section was supposedly wrong. I redid both and sent them back. That was abiut a month ago. Since then they have ignored my last three emails AGAIN. I should have had this wrapped up by the end of January, even with the retake. It is now mid April and they are still choosing to ignore me. They are happy to take your money and waste your time, and you get nothing in return. Stay away.

I am really happy I decided to finish the IELTS Preparation Course. With how much useful stuff I took away from it, it honestly surprised me that it only cost $10 with the discount. Really happy to have finished both the 120 hour and the 30 hour certification. Since I did a TEFL program straight after graduating, these worked perfectly for me as refresher courses. I am taking the 310 Hour TEFL course at the moment. I started with the 10 hour TEFL teaching practice and got that done first because I just was not feeling motivated to jump straight into the self taught modules. Michelle Benson was our tutor and she ran such an engaging 10 hour programme across two midweek evenings. The way Michelle taught it, with so much passion and energy, genuinely made me feel more driven and I think it pushed everyone along to get qualified and head off on our own journeys. It is a really practical module and I would definitely recommend it as a great compliment to the online theory.
