Great program
Great program - excellent professors and topics, great night life, and decent cultural exposure, but not enough interaction with locals.
At New York University in Prague, courses such as "Modern Dissent in Central Europe: The Art of Defeat" and "European-American Relations in the 21st Century" explore fundamental topics in history, politics, and social justice. NYU Prague students learn about the Czech Republic’s incredible cultural and political transformation that began during the Velvet Revolution in 1989. Courses are taught by politicians and public intellectuals, many of whom were key players in the country’s transition to democracy.
NYU Prague staff organize day trips and overnight excursions to historic sites such as Kutná Hora, a medieval town and UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its cathedrals, or industrial Ostrava, where students meet members of the town’s Romani population. Opportunities vary based on local restrictions.
NYU Prague’s academic center is in two 15th-century buildings near the historic Old Town Square. It houses lounges, computer labs, classrooms, music practice spaces, and darkrooms.

I really enjoyed my program! The administration was amazing and organized so much for the students. I wish there was more immersion but overall it was a great experience.
Prague was absolutely amazing and the NYU program did a good job balancing our desire to travel/generally neglect our academics with their need to actually teach us a few things. The dorms were all very nice (especially the new ones, which were gorgeous), and the NYU trips etc were great. Everyone was super nice and friendly. and I absolutely commend NYU in Prague. You wont regret going.
Went for Music Composition.
Need better professors and more interaction with Czechs.
It opened my eyes up to alot of things. Loved the trips. They should enforce more interaction with Czechs
Great experience. Best summer of my life!
It was awesome. I wish I was still sitting drunk at Chapeau Rouge.
Best ever. Much better than NYC.
Awesome. LOVED it.
Although language immersion was minimal, it really made me realize how difficult it is for immigrants in the US who don't speak english, or other immigrants around the world. I learned so much about the culture and the people who live there. We had trips planned for us around the host country that were essentially free and very informative and fun. All the RAs were either Czech or Slovak, as were all the professors. Overall, it was my favorite semester this far!
