Law & Human Rights Volunteering | Legal Advocacy

by: Medi Trip

Law is rarely most powerful in a courtroom. Sometimes, it begins in a community office, a women’s group, a family dispute or a conversation with someone who has never been told what their rights are. Program Highlights

See where justice actually begins. Step beyond courtrooms and textbooks into community offices, outreach sessions and real cases shaped by poverty, gender, family and access.

Challenge inherited ideas of legal authority. Learn from advocates working within their own legal, cultural and social context, not through an imported model of what justice should look like.

Work on issues that rarely stay theoretical. Support advocacy connected to gender-based violence, child protection, inheritance, family conflict, early marriage and unequal access to legal support.

Your role is matched to your experience and guided by local professionals, with opportunities in research, case documentation, community education, referrals and outreach.

Join a placement built locally, not remotely. Medi Trip works directly with locally-based organisations and provides ethical preparation, coordination and ongoing support throughout your placement.
