Teaching English and Assisting in Schools in Peru

This amazing project was created to improve the English-speaking abilities of impoverished children in Cusco. Volunteers work at a local school or community group, helping kids and adults hone their language skills. As is common in many of the world's poorer communities, the ability to speak English unlocks a new world of possibilities. For young students, it could be higher education and a brighter future. On the other hand, it could be professional opportunities – often within the service and tourism industries – for the working age group. Please remember that schools in developing countries may lack structure and are understaffed. Thus, volunteers are greatly needed.
