I enjoyed to the fullest

Volunteering at a local daycare was a profoundly enriching experience that greatly enhanced my understanding of child development and care. I interacted daily with children aged 2 to 6 years, engaging them in various activities that fostered both learning and play. My responsibilities included supervising playtime, organizing educational games, and assisting with snack preparation. One of the most rewarding aspects was witnessing the children's joy and excitement as they explored their creativity through art projects and group games. I learned to communicate effectively with them, understanding their needs and emotions, which often varied throughout the day. The atmosphere was vibrant and dynamic, filled with laughter and curiosity. I also collaborated with the daycare staff, who shared valuable insights into child behavior and education strategies. This teamwork allowed me to contribute meaningfully while honing my organizational skills. Additionally, I developed patience and empathy, learning to approach each situation with understanding, especially when conflicts arose among the children. Overall, my time at the daycare was not just about volunteering; it was an invaluable opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while growing personally and professionally in a nurturing environment.

Best time of my life, great experience.

It was a really great experience and I would say that young people should do this. My hostel was great, I met great people of all over the world and I loved Arusha. Sarah and Emmanuel are the best hosts I ever met, very helpful. I felt very safe with them and learned much about the beautiful land and culture. Food was very good.

best times of my life

I've already traveled to Tanzania three times to volunteer with Giving Hands. Each time was absolutely wonderful and unforgettable. Sarah and Emmanuel are so kind, open and always there for you when you need something. The organization of the arriving and project was perfect all around, and the projects were fantastic, too. I've been to an orphanage for babies and hospitals several times. The staff there is very kind and incredibly grateful for any help. You stay in a beautiful hostel with a large garden and the opportunity to interact with other volunteers. They also offer some very cool excursions, which make the experience perfect. I highly recommend the organization and projects to everyone. You will kind of find a second home in Tanzania.

Meaningful volunteering

We volunteered with this organisation and it was all organised so well and in the projects the kids really need help and support. The children are so warm and lovely, welcoming us ever day with a smile and Tanzania itself is so beautiful, we visited the hot springs, materuni waterfalls, did safari, went to hotels to swim in the pools, did African dance classes or yoga and discovered so many things. We always felt safe and fell in love with the African country and its people!

You will grow!

Tanzania with Giving Hands was a life changing experience. And I’m not just saying that ‚cause that’s what u say or expect, it was really like that. To see a totally different world from our „perfect“ countries, experience actually happy people, a happy culture and at the same time treat and cuddle street dogs who need help was the perfect combination - Sarah’s and Emmanuel’s Organization made that possible. I planned to go to Tanzania for three months, but at the end I extended my time to 6 months. Personally I grew a lot, learned about a totally different living under the gorgeous banana and avocado trees. If you wanna raise your horizon and help dogs or people which ever project you choose, it will have an impact for others and for yourself. Be open to what comes, because it will be an unforgettable experience

Extraordinary nice experience with nice people

I enjoyed my experience and stay with giving hands in Arusha/Tansania very much and would like to recommend those lovely people and that lovely home. I always felt very welcomed and safe and cared. I learned a lot about this beautiful land and their people and felt so good to support them. I loved the people who stayed with me and I loved the house and the nature and kindness around me.

The time of my life in Tanzania!

I had the time of my life during my 3 months stay in Tanzania with Giving Hands! The welcoming in the big and beautiful hostel felt like coming home, the staff is so nice and always there if you have a problem, the house is so big and the rooms are also very comfortable! There ie filtered drinking water, tee, coffee, wifi and hot water and security guards always disponsible for everyone and they have chicken for eggs, they heat with solar power and they have dgs and rabbits and looots of animals. The food is freshly cooked and more than delicious and if you have any kind of allergies or anything, they will take care of that. The projects was so interesting to see and I really enjoyed my time there, they need a lot of help and I was so sad when the day came when I had to leave that all behind. Also I did many trips and also a safari with Givin Hands and this was so well organized from beginning to end with fair prices and everythng handled so well... I will never forget my time in Tanzania :-)
