This was an incredibly rewarding experience overall. I was able to build meaningful connections in both my professional and personal life, which made my time abroad even more valuable and memorable. After applying to hundreds of internships over 8 months during my high credit load semesters, I was starting to lose hope that I would find an internship for this summer. I haven’t had any previous industry experience, so I was feeling pretty unlucky during my job search. One of my friends recommended Absolute internships to me, and after reaching out to them, I had a position within five days (interviewed, contracts signed, the whole nine)! The internship was very cheap and matched me with a company that was just right for my situation. Even though there was just a week before the internship cycle began, they still matched me with a great company. I recommend this company to anyone looking for a simple, quick, and quality internship experience. Loved them!

I had an amazing time working remotely for naas.ai. I was initially a bit skeptic about the experience as I was looking for a software development company, while naas.ai is more data analysis oriented. I was proven wrong, the experience at naas.ai was exactly what I need to create a clear picture of my job path and what I want to pursue. I enjoyed a lot my time in the internship, it was a great experience. I was in an online internship in Canada. My field is finance, and in the company I got to work a lot related to that, so it was great that I got to learn more about finance. As well I got great advices from my supervisors, and this was fantastic because I got to apply them in the future.

I worked with a company named Boloberry, they are a 3D printers manufacturer. I was in charge of the expansion to México. I was able to participate in a networking reunion where I exposed the company to over 40 other companies. I improved a lot my communication skills.

This was one of the happiest months of my life. While interning in Barcelona I met my best friends, gained international experience, had the adventures of a lifetime, and received a full-time job offer after returning back to the states. My experience abroad made me a unique job applicant and therefore a more competitive candidate. I was hoping to actually go abroad and experience the city as well as make connections but sadly the pandemic didn’t allow for that. Regardless I am really glad I participated, my work felt meaningful and the skills it provided me with will be extremely helpful for the future.

I had always wanted to work for a Japanese company, and considered doing an internship in Japan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic this seemed unlikely however. When I learned about Absolute Internship through my Uni I decided to try out a Remote Internship instead. The company I got matched with is very interesting and my coordinator there has made sure that there is a good work balance between what the company needs and what I want to get out of the internship. While Absolute was international to me as they were located in Spain while I was in Canada in Eastern Standard Time, I never had any trouble getting hold of them. Their online platform was very comprehensive and helpful and I enjoyed browsing through the videos and attending the workshops and events in real time even if online. I always got responses fairly quickly whenever I had any questions or needed anything clarified. I was hesitant going in to my internship with Absolute Internship, because I was going to be doing everything online and wasn't sure how beneficial an online international internship would be. However, it ended up being on of the best work experiences I've had to date. I've traveled and worked abroad solo before, so the process itself wasn't intimidating for me, but I did notice how many resources Absolute has available to students. Any question you might have is answered, and if not, all of the staff are more than willing to answer your questions if you reach out. They make the process of going abroad manageable, and for anyone who hasn't been abroad or worked with companies abroad before, this is incredibly helpful. The company I was partnered with was amazing. I wanted to be placed in China, because I wanted to create connections and learn about the country, even though I've never been. Absolute was great in finding a company that matched my preferences and connecting me with my future supervisors. Throughout the entire process, Absolute was easy to reach and helpful. There are frequent check-ins throughout the internship as well. Between your host company and the Absolute advisors, you'll have much support. Though this internship was online, I was still able to create cultural experiences and learn about the host company and country. Absolute managed to make the experience incredibly fulfilling and fun, despite the restrictions.

Last Friday marked the final day of my internship at Summer Atlantic Capital, an investment institution based on global resources and asset investment. Although I had to do the internship remotely from Singapore while my internship company is in Beijing, China, the 3 months internship was definitely an eye-opening and fulfilling one. As a Summer Analyst, I had the opportunity to work on various tasks such as: - Work on cross-border transactions and communicate with several high-tech US firms to assist their incorporation and investment in China - Perform independent investment / market research on areas such as Automotive Industry, IoT, Medical Devices etc. - Prepared investment agreements, due diligence reports, project feasibility study reports etc. - Assess the risk of different markets and transactions based on valuation, analysis, and meetings with the management team - Work on marketing plans on LinkedIn and WeChat I will not forget this experience and I cannot wait to apply what I have learnt in my future career. I would like to thank the Summer Atlantic Capital and Absolute Internship team for coordinating and providing me with this amazing internship opportunity! I cannot wait for what is to come next!

Absolute made internship applications very simple and stress free! Once selected by the company as an interest, I interviewed and got the internship -- so simple! My internship matched with my identified interest areas, and absolute checked in with me throughout the internship to make sure it was living up to expectations. It was so helpful to have a third party supporting me throughout my internship.

Throughout my internship I developed plenty of technical skills and I have a way better idea of what I'm capable of and what I want for my future career. I have a way better confidence and I had the chance to met some great people and connect with them.

I was a little disappointed when the time came to start my internship because I had switched to the remote program because of the COVID-19 pandemic and I had lowered expectations of what I would gain from this experience. However, this internship was by far the most enriching time of my life. My host company and Absolute made it feel like I was learning and working right beside them from halfway across the world. I got the chance to take on so many new responsibilities and I gained immense amounts of confidence in myself, my work and my professionalism skills. I managed to gain the full scholarship for this program which is what I recommend doing if you have an interest in doing something like this- an unpaid internship while being a student with not a lot of money. You get to learn valuable skills and the the Absolute Internship teams are always great help and support. It was a good way to still gain experience while in covid times :)

My experience was successful, as it was my first time working abroad and in the English language was an step forward for me and try to work in another country is very important for me as I could gain a lot of knowledge. According to Molinksy’s definition, global dexterity is the ability to adapt our behavior within a foreign culture without losing our authentic selves in the process. In other words, it’s about “fitting in without stepping too far outside our personal comfort zone.” It’s not enough to recognize the cultural differences; what’s more important is that we need to apply our awareness and knowledge to real actions. And this remote internship gave me an opportunity to do that. During the internship, I stumbled to learn about the differences and uniqueness of the social media culture in Japan. I also enjoy this learning process since I have a vast interest in what I’m assigned to do and I’m also curious about different points of view of looking at social media. This has been a rewarding experience for me.

I did the remote internship in a multinational company. The company was based in Hong Kong, but I worked from Italy. It was undoubtedly an experience of great value. I dealt with employer branding within the HR team. I learned a lot about the subject but above all I learned how to work remotely, in another area of ​​the world, with different hours, and with a very different culture. And all of this made this experience important for me and for my career.

I was placed in a wonderful company in the UK and had a very educational and eye opening experince. My placement advisor was extremely helpful during the application process and communicated everything I needed clearly, he was also veryreceptive to my concerns and took not of everything I wanted in an internship. I was helped up till my interview with the company after which I started my internship. Even though it was online, which I was pretty skeptical of considering my major is very hands on (mechanical engineering), I ended up learning so much more than I could've imagined, including softwares and skills. The fact that it was remote allowed me to be close to family and participate in other functions locally as well. The career and development workshops were awesome too!

For the past twelve weeks, I have had the incredible opportunity to work in my chosen field in a company half a world away. How is this possible, you ask? Through the Absolute Internship Remote Internship Program. Look it up, seriously. When I was initially accepted into Absolute Internship’s study abroad program, I thought it was too good to be true. Gaining invaluable work experience from a world-renown company while exploring a foreign country? Yes, please! Of course, reality took over, and Covid-19 rocked the world. I was devasted and angry for being deprived of the experience. Lucky for myself and hundreds of other students, Absolute Internship extended a helping hand and introduced their Remote Internship program. My new thought, “I can gain invaluable work experience from a world-renown company while learning in my pajamas? Yes, please!” I applied again, interviewed (again), and soon received an email glowing with the word “Congratulations!”. Once more, I applied and was chosen as an Absolute Internship Remote Scholarship Awardee. Overjoyed at the thought of what was to come, I was quickly placed with and introduced to the law firm that would guide my learning for the next three months. My supervisor at MingDun law firm in Beijing immediately sought to get to know me as a person and as an intern. His warm welcome allowed me to feel as though I was truly part of a community an ocean away. I was soon supplied with several tasks to research and provide notes on for the firm’s use. Because this particular firm specialized in intellectual property law, each issue I researched brought me closer to understanding the nature of and interactions between intellectual property laws worldwide. From reading Trademark Infringement laws in the U.S. to interpreting the legality of the infamous TikTok ban, to conveying my findings, I began to understand the value an internship of this caliber could have in the eventual success of my career. Each time I submitted my research, my supervisor continued the learning process by meeting with me over Zoom and discussing any potential questions or clarifications I might have. This step was instrumental to my learning because it allowed me to speak with an expert in the field (not just over email) on a topic I was interested in pursuing as a career. It also granted me the opportunity to digest the mass amounts of information I was gathering and articulate it concisely. However, I would not have been able to do this effectively if it were not for Absolute Internship’s Absolute Academy. Each member of the Absolute Internship program is given access to this informative platform to supplement their experience. From workshops on emotional intelligence at the workplace to the art of communication to understanding diversity, the Academy has a course on how to excel in any internship. Score! But the learning doesn’t stop there. To make sure you are receiving every bit of internship wisdom possible, the program also offers many workshops designed to enhance soft skills necessary to career success. My favorite workshop was The Art of Communication, in which I utterly embarrassed myself by showcasing my unfortunate lack of communication skills. I applied the lessons I learned from this and similar workshops to my work at MingDun Law Firm. Throughout the previous twelve weeks, I am happy to report that I have grown not only as a researcher and writer but also as a team member, communicator, and critical thinker. I find it hard to believe that I could be just as successful in my career if I had not taken part in the Absolute Internship program. With the guidance of the wonderful Absolute Internship team and of MingDun Law Firm, I can continue down my career path with confidence and professionalism.

My experience interning with Absolute is going to be unforgettable. I participated during these past two months in the Remote Internship Program, where I work remotely with an organization of the sector I chose located in Paris. Over the past few months, I interned at a non-profit based in Spain. It was very difficult work and it took some time to get adjusted to the time difference, the expectations of my work as an intern, the cultural and language differences. I got the opportunity to further practice my Spanish in a more professional setting, completing reports and applications in the language and helping come up with ideas and presentations for projects for my host company to develop at their locations globally. I would definitely recommend an absolute internship to every student desiring to have a remote internship with a company abroad. I truly enjoyed my two experiences with them the first being a finance Internship in London and the second one being a finance remote internship. During my remote internship, the Absolute Internship was constently available and checking on me to make sure that my internship was doing great. Moreover, during the remote internship, we had a platform with information about how to succeed our internship; and we had online share meetings to connect with the other interns. They matched me with private investment companies and this was a major steps for me to helps me grow towards my careers goals. At the beginning of lockdown I was anxious because all of my plans to do an internship during the summer and be productive were falling down. As a soon to be graduate when worldwide lockdown came into play I was personally scrambling to gain work experience. I’m a third-year student of Japanese studies at Durham University and began searching for a worthwhile use of my summer upon the realisation that COVID wasn’t disappearing quickly. What initially drew me to Absolute Internships is the wide variety of countries and industries that you could work in, I was previously finding it difficult looking for opportunities within Japan when I was unable to leave my town, let alone my country.
