What inspired you to join the team at Euroace?

The fantastic vibe around the team and the friendly staff made me feel as though this was a unique company to work for and a great team to be involved in. Also, the cool activities developed weekly for our students is something that attracted me to the job, helping to provide international students with authentic experiences in Valencia.

Describe a typical day/week as the Coordinator.

There is no typical day or week at Euroace and that is the beauty of it. Every week is different which is so exciting. There are always new students coming and going, new activities to organize and partake in, different companies to work with, and new challenges every day. You never know what you will be doing three months from now, and there is so much potential with all of the student programs and projects we are developing.

Why is Euroace easy to market when recruiting students?

It is easy to market because we are genuinely friendly and we really care about the students, their needs, and their expectations. We go the extra mile to make sure they are welcomed to the city, that they feel comfortable, and that they always have someone to contact if they need to—and this is what students, parents, and partners appreciate.

What is important to consider when placing students with internships?

Flexibility is key. Interns face a fantastic opportunity but they need to realize that each sector and/or company is different. They need to be flexible in order to have the best experience possible. It happens again and again that students wants to do an internship with a certain company, but due to a student’s profile, skills, or academic background another company suits him/her best. If the student is open minded in 99.9% of the cases he/she will love the experience.

Why should students consider participating in international internships rather than domestic internships?

International internships literally open doors that were locked. Students who participate in an abroad program differentiate professionally from others who don’t. They have the chance to enhance their professional skills, learn about a new culture, and in general they mature faster. Parents and HR departments see this very clearly and it definitely sets the student apart in terms of future opportunities and career options.

Can you tell us about the internship experience with Euroace?

Euroace has a unique network of companies from all kind of industries and sectors. From top football clubs and hospitals to cutting-edge startups or R&D labs. We have internship placements available in and around Valencia, as well as in Madrid. Students have the chance to work in a Spanish company, learn about global business, get to work within a new environment in a foreign culture, learn about themselves, and make new connections.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Easy. That is when the student tells us how fantastic their experience was! For us, creating an experience whereby the student’s learn, grow personally and professionally, and enjoy the culture in Spain is a success for us. We value our responsibility of providing a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for the students, and hopefully help to create a life changing opportunity for them!

Why is international immersion important for individuals to experience?

As mentioned earlier, students mature much faster when they live abroad. An international immersion experience helps them to find out more about themselves than if they were to stay in a comfortable environment.

Even more, if the student tries to integrate into the new culture and learn about Spanish lifestyle, they can find a new perspective and surely open their mind. From a professional standpoint, an internship abroad differentiates them from other candidates in job interviews. It is a unique step on their career path, and most of all, a great opportunity to learn!

What does meaningful travel mean to you?

When you travel somewhere it means that you learn, grow, and embrace every opportunity the place you are traveling to offers. Hopefully, our students can come to Valencia and have such an experience. We assist with this by providing cultural and traditional activities, Spanish language classes to learn about the language and the culture, and we go one step further and provide host family accommodation to really allow for a full meaningful travel experience.

Where do you hope to see Euroace programs in five years?

We keep growing year after year! We are developing fantastic customized programs that students and institutions are demanding, so I see Euroace growing towards that path.
