All Around Culinary Internship

Join the team at York Harbor Inn, a historic oceanfront property on the coast of Maine, for a year-round J1 Culinary Internship/Trainee placement built to grow real chefs, not just extra hands on the line.

Across four structured phases, you'll progress from kitchen orientation into daily production, receiving, storage, inventory, and food cost then into menu and recipe development, then full banquet execution, learning to read banquet event orders and lead prep and plating for live events by year's end.

You'll train directly under Executive Chef Jermain Henry, whose own path led from Jamaica through hospitality school to running this kitchen, and a seasoned culinary leadership team, with weekly hands-on feedback throughout the year.

Outside the kitchen, enjoy coastal trails, local beaches, seasonal fairs, and outings with fellow international staff in a true New England seaside village.
