Webster University Athens

This program is one that I will never forget, not just because of the opportunities I had to learn and grow both personally and culturally, but also because of the people I met. You come into this program as one person and leave as a completely different one. One thing that makes Webster Athens special is how tight knit the community is. I loved being a part of a program where the staff and students got along so well and genuinely supported one another. The apartments are in a great location, with very easy access to stores and the metro. The program also includes excursions to several locations around Greece, like Delphi, Nafplio, Epidaurus, etc., and I highly recommend not missing these getaways. They are an amazing way to see more of the country alongside your fellow study abroad peers and these short trips were certainly a highlight for me.

This was my second study abroad program, and I speak so highly of this program whenever I get the chance. A great community, living situation, kind staff, and you really dive into the Greek experience with guidance from Dina and the other mentors! Best 4 months ever, I met some of my best friends here and still talk to them to this day.

My semester abroad with Webster in Greece was a shared odyssey with my wife, Paola, made extraordinary by Dina, our activities coordinator. Her blend of Greek hospitality and skill didn’t just schedule events—she built a bridge to the soul of the country. With Paola by my side, Dina’s activities became our social heartbeat. From awe at Meteora to fumbling with filo dough in cooking class, we explored as a team. Dina transformed strangers into a community, mixing iconic sights with authentic local gems we’d never have found alone. Living there as a couple gave us unique stability. Paola turned a solo study journey into a “we” adventure, with a home base to process everything together. We left with more than credits: a deep appreciation for Greece, international friends, and a treasure trove of shared memories. The program provided the framework, Dina the heartbeat, and Paola the shared soul.

During my summer term in Athens, I checked off so many things on my bucket list. I loved the school, my instructors, and the city itself more than I ever expected. Studying abroad was something I always thought about, but I never knew if I would actually go through with it. I am so glad I did. I learned so much about Greek life and culture through my classes and all the experiences we shared. Our group for Summer 1 became so close. We cooked dinner together, figured out public transportation, and even flew to London. Since being home, I’ve already flown to visit two of the friends I made there, and we’re hoping to get the whole group together soon. I’ll never forget our last day of classes when we took a group photo with one of our instructors and all cried real tears. Seeing the iconic parts of Greece was incredible, but actually living there was the cherry on top. We didn’t feel like tourists. We walked to class and the grocery store, learned the trams, ferries, and all the public transportation quickly, and ate traditional Greek food almost every day. I felt less like a visitor and more like part of the community. When I came back to the US, I had a completely new level of self confidence. Our motto there was “I can do anything,” and I still repeat that to myself now. Greece was a special time, and the Odyssey in Athens program will always hold a special place in my heart.

I have been to quite a few countries, but there is nowhere quite like Greece. I had an incredible time meeting the people and I wouldn’t have been able to do that with out Webster. They were so welcoming thank you!!

This trip brought a new experience filled with cultural learnings that i had never known capable of experiencing. This program allowed to be immersed in the culture while also being taught from firsthand experience about the topics being taught in class.

During my time in Athens, I got to see a ton of different historical landmarks, and it was very interesting to hear the stories behind everything as well. If I could go back and do it again I would 100%.

I was hesitant to study abroad but immediately felt comfortable and at home in Athens! Class was manageable and enjoyable, but being able to explore the city in my free time was incredible. I loved the sense of independence I had being so far from home. All the instructors and coordinators were very helpful when I needed anything, but also gave excellent recommendations and advice. I loved the trips that were coordinated through the program. I definitely recommend Odyssey in Athens, or any other study abroad opportunity. You won't regret it!

I was a Kent State University student who studied abroad in January 2024-May 2024. I have never even been out of the country before then. This was one of the best and most memorable experiences of my entire life. I think about Greece and studying abroad every single day still. It will be 2 years next month since I went and nothing will compare to my life there. In my living space, I was partnered with 2 random girls who quickly became my best friends. Still till this day, we visit each other in America from Ohio, Illinois, and Missouri. Studying abroad was the best thing I ever did for myself and I wouldn't change a single thing about it.

I had the chance to not only immerse myself into a new culture but also try to learn the language. I loved going to syntagma for walks to the snack stands and being able to travel throughout all of Europe allowing myself to visit 7 countries while still staying in Greece most of the weekends.

I did the AHEPA Journey to Greece program, and it was amazing. My sister did this program 8 years ago, which is how I learned about it. This program helped me meet some amazing people. The Greek American community can be hard to unite because of all the different places we are from, so it was great to meet people I probably would've never met. Naxos was one of the best weekends of my life. There were things for everyone. The people who loved history went to explore a bunch of site, while the others explored the town we were staying in. Usually, when I go to Greece, I only see my family, so it was great to truly fall in love with Greece.

Everything about this program was amazing! All of the teachers and people working with the program were kind and excited to have us students here. The organized trips with the program, class schedule, and orientation provided helped us see and learn as much as possible in four weeks. Everything felt so personal and close, I wish I could've had more than four weeks!

Throughout the four-week program that I did, I met good friends and stayed in the center of Athens, Greece. The city and excursions were immersive and significant. Overall, the classes were a nice opportunity to meet more people, learn, and gain college credits.

I experienced a great deal of cultural immersion throughout my time in Greece. We went to so many places all across Greece, and this definitely made me feel like I was exposed to a great deal of art and culture.

Once in a lifetime opportunity I was very happy I was able to go and this was a very unforgettable experience. I made many new friends and got to experience the people and food of Athens and immerse myself in the culture.

This is definitely a summer that I will remember for the rest of my life. Learning about the culture, history and people of Greece was a wonderful experience that I will always look back on and cherish. I have met so many amazing people while studying in Athens and have seen so many amazing things that I thought I would only ever see in history books. Overall, I had a wonderful experience.

I had an amazing time on this program! Everyone involved was extremely kind, caring, and helpful. All questions/ problems were addressed in a very timely matter and we felt very well taken care of. I enjoyed having pre-planned excursions that staff would come on with us so we could get more information and background knowledge. I loved the group of girls I lived with and we all got so close over the 4 weeks. We loved the location of our apartment and always felt very safe!

I had the time of my life while studying abroad. It was amazing to be able to meet other students from other countries and it was interesting to live in a different country and experience their culture. The food was amazing, and being able to go out and hang out with the other students was always really fun.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in a study abroad program in Greece, and it was truly a life-changing experience. The program was incredibly well-organized and provided a perfect balance of academic rigor and cultural immersion. The classes were engaging and taught by knowledgeable professors who were passionate about their subjects. I learned so much about Greek history, art, and culture, and even had the chance to participate in archaeological fieldwork, which was a dream come true for me. The program also offered fantastic excursions to historical sites, museums, and local events, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the rich history and vibrant culture of Greece. Living with a host family was a wonderful way to practice the Greek language and gain a deeper understanding of everyday life in Greece. The support staff was friendly, helpful, and always available to assist with any questions or concerns. I felt safe and well-cared for throughout the entire program. Overall, my study abroad experience in Greece was unforgettable, and I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to expand their horizons and immerse themselves in the beauty of Greek history and culture.

My study abroad experience has been nothing but the most amazing and memorable experience of my entire life. Going into study abroad in January I was definitely nervous as I have never done something like this. But now coming to an end it’s something I wish I would’ve done sooner. Greece is one of the most amazing countries in the entire world. The people, the culture, the food and the experiences were like no other than my entire life I’ve experienced. I have made lifelong friends with students that are also studying with me and being able to share some of the most incredible memories with them is also so cool. Overall studying abroad, lets you explore new cultures and make friends from around the world and learn exciting ways, you cannot experience at home. It helped me grow personally by making me more independent and adaptable. Being able to travel to multiple countries while over there was one of my favorite experiences because not only am I learning about Greek culture but I’m learning about other countries cultures as well. Overall, setting abroad is a fantastic adventure that helps broaden your horizons, and in the end it leaves you with the most unforgettable memories.

This is experience was everything I would’ve imagined for a program. As a second time study abroad study, I found this experience to be very enlightening and a journey where I discovered a lot about myself. You get extremely immersed in the culture and activities of the city. It felt like my second home by the end of my time there.

The study abroad is experience is one I recommend to anyone who can do it. Athens was a beautiful city with a whole lot of places to eat, shopping centers, tourist shops, archeological cites and so much more. The staff at the Athens campus is beyond amazing. Dina ensures you feel comfortable in the city and is there if anyone needs help with anything at all. The professors are very flexible and caring. They truly want you to have the best experience and will share any information that will help you.

Study abroad in Athens was super fun. It allowed my friends and I to see Ancient Greece and be able to travel to other places in Europe. I would recommend anyone who has the chance to study abroad and be a part of another culture.

The entire experience was absolutely beautiful. The culture and hospitality were both amazing from brief conversations with locals. There is a lot to learn here. Support from the institution is fantastic for wanting to learn more and explore. I would highly recommend it!

It’s been one week since I returned from Athens and I already want to go back! The staff at Webster made it feel like home away from home. Everything was very affordable in Athens and there was so many sites to see and shopping to do. It was easy to get around the city and also travel to the islands via ferry. The 4 weeks went by extremely quick but we did so much and I got so much out of my experience!

Attending this program was the best decision I have ever made. I met new people and ate amazing food. Dina prepared us well for taking on the city of Athens as if we had lived there our entire lives. She helped us with transportation, food recommendations, and overall life when living in Athens. She encouraged us to experience new things and go to the different islands Greece had to offer. Overall this was the best experience of my life.

This program was incredible. Everyone apart of the program was so kind and welcoming. The excursions were amazing! I really enjoyed our weekend trips where we visited many different islands! I would highly recommend this program to students interested in studying abroad!

I had a nice time studying abroad at Webster Athens. The school is located in the heart of Athens, and the program plans weekly excursions in and out of Athens. Those experiences were amazing. Dina is so kind and helpful and overall studying abroad in Athens was a great experience.

I was only in Athens for a total of six weeks because I have to come back in the middle for a wedding. I absolutely do not regret anything and am very happy with my experience. I did go with two of my friends which I think helped a lot. I don't think I would've had as much fun if I would've gone alone.

The month of July in Athens as a part of the Journey to Greece 2022 summer program was the trip of a lifetime that allowed students to not only connect and learn about our culture and heritage, but allowed for the start of lifelong friendships. This trip connected me with other Greek students my age and created a family like bond that is unlike anything I have ever experienced! Being able to tour Greece and visit historical monuments together as a group allowed us to create so many memories that will never be forgotten! My JTG group is unlike any other and I am looking forward to the day that we all get together once again for a reunion! This experience will never be forgotten and I highly recommend this experience to others looking to connect with other students of Greek descent and to learn more about the culture and heritage!

There were 14 other students, 15 including myself, and right away, we all became super close friends. There were tons of preplanned activities and excursions that were super fun, but being there with those other students made them so much better. We did things like go to the site of the first Olympics, went to one island for 3 days, went to 3 islands in one day, and even a few museums. The classes were not too difficult which was nice because the other students and I didn't have to spend tons and tons of time doing school work and were able to go do things and spend time together. I also took my film camera and now have some of my favorite pictures I've ever taken.

Webster University in Athens is the perfect school for any American or international student to attend. The faculty/staff are extremely kind and helpful. It is perfect because Webster Athens is a small school so they cater to the needs of the students. Along with this, it is located in the heart of Athens! This was one of the coolest parts as our group was able to explore and do much. I cannot recommend this program highly enough to any student wanting to live in Europe, especially Greece!

My time in Greece was life changing and different than anything I have ever done before. The people and the culture were amazing and I am already planning my trip back. I will say I would have liked my program and school schedule before my departure so I could plan some other trips. We really went in kind of head first. However, the trips we did have were amazing and I loved all of them.

The Odyssey program in Athens is truly an incredible one. I went for 8 weeks over the summer as a WINS students. The courses were taught by some of the most caring and brillant professors I have ever interacted with. They were not only interested in your experience as a student and learning outcomes, but also as a person, and as a visitor of Greece. The Odyssey program offers a perfect balance between school, cultural experiences, and free time. The campus and apartments are located in the center of Athens. Everything you need is less than a 10 minute walk or accesible by the various public transportation systems. Athens is culturally one of the most intruiging places I have ever been. There is beautiful scenery everywhere from beaches to mountains. I cannot reccomend this program enough.

Studying Abroad in Greece was just the best thing to ever happen to me. The amount of history and culture outside in every part of Athens was so evident and inspiring. Talking with locals, experiencing the local life, was both extraordinary and humbling - overall a new perspective. The food was absolutely incredible!! The music was beautiful and enchanting. Going to different islands (I went to Agistri and Aegina) was beautiful and it felt so unreal. Just how easy it was to live a walkable city but also the ease of public transport and the ferries. I know I’m just rambling, but there was always something new to experience and more to discover. The classes I took were insightful and perspective-challenging and the professors were beyond excellent at their craft. The bond I made with my roommates was incredible and I’m so thankful to them and also Dina!!! I can’t put into words how amazing Dina was and how supportive she was. Eternally grateful. So grateful for the experience - if I could experience this trip for the first time again, I would.

This expereince was unlike anything I have experienced before. It was such an incredible opportunity to live in the heart of Athens and just explore the city. The classes were SO incredible. I took the community service learning class and got the opportunity to volunteer with Refugees which was so rewarding, as well as the Greek Mythology and Religion Course with Niki. Niki is SO knowledgeable about so many topics and the class was catered to what we wanted to learn and by the end of the course I felt very connected to the stories as well as the city of Athens. While I was studying there I also got the chance to explore local islands and had the opportunity to go to so many events in athens that were amazing. If you have the opportunity to study here DO IT!! you will not regret it!

I always look back on my time abroad with a smile on my face. I simply had the best time getting to know different people from all around the world and exploring Greece! I feel like I evolved so much as an individual and I made friends for life. It was a time filled with so many new experiences, people and cultural impressions and I could not have wished for a better time. Living right in the heart of Athens was truly the greatest way to experience everything the city had to offer and I miss taking advantage of all the perks of living in Athens (not to mention the weather!). All the people were so nice and welcoming and I really fell in loved with Greece as a country. I can't wait to go back someday. To anyone considering to go study abroad at Webster University in Athens I can't recommend it enough!

Studying at Webster University has been one of the biggest highlights of my entire bachelors! It was amazing to live in another country, but the friendships I got to have has been the best part of the semester! I met some wonderful new friends and I'll forever be grateful for meeting them. Dina was another big part of me having an amazing time! She helped us with everything and we were always able to get in contact with her! The excursions she planned was absolutely perfect where we got to see so much more of Greece than just Athens. All in all one of the greatest experiences I have ever had

My time abroad in Athens was educationally and personally enlightening. Those in charge of us study abroad students were easy to get in contact with, knowledgeable, and planned many excursions around Greece. I learned a great deal about history, people, and myself during this time, I'm truly grateful for the experience.

My experience studying abroad in Greece was filled with many different things. I loved being surrounded by history and there was always something new to learn, see, and experience. However, I feel like my educational experience could have been better. The teachers did not seem to be very organized and/or on the same page with each other and with the administration. The classes often did not have much structure and the assignments did not really fit with what was being taught to us. Many times we would be assigned a paper to write in a week about a topic we had not be lectured on. While it taught me to be flexible, it was often very stressful and I feel that could be alleviated with more communication and organization. Overall, I had an amazing time in Greece and I am thankful that I was able to take part in that opportunity.

Due to COVID-19 the course selection was very limited. But from what I’ve seen, they normally offer a great variety of course options. I loved it in Athens. Even though the apartment were old, the location of it made up for that. The staff at the school was amazing. They were always there if any help was needed. I can only recommend the Webster Odyssey program!!!

My study abroad experience with Webster Athens was absolutely life-changing, I wish I could have stayed indefinitely. I learned so much about Greek culture, got to learn some of the language, and met so many incredible people who I still keep in touch with. Our apartment was located in the heart of Athens and within walking distance of public transportation, incredible restaurants, cultural and historical landmarks, shopping, and the National Garden (a great spot to have a picnic, go for a walk, or exercise). Dina, the program director, is absolutely incredible, she made us feel at home in Athens right away. She made sure that we always had everything that we needed and went above and beyond to find opportunities for us that matched our interests. She also organized the most amazing excursions, taking us to parts of the country that we would never have been able to see on our own. She and the guides who led our tours of the historical sites were very knowledgeable, by the end we felt like experts ourselves. I really enjoyed all of my classes and never felt too overwhelmed or felt that I didn't have enough time to explore and travel on my own. I especially enjoyed my Greek language class. Even though almost everyone in the city spoke English, it was nice to be able to order at restaurants in Greek or follow along when my local friends were talking. Some tips that I have if you're studying abroad at Webster Athens: 1) Try to find activities that interest you outside of the program! Dina is a really great resource for this and I would also recommend looking for events or classes on Facebook since most event organizing in Greece is done through Facebook. This is a really great way to meet locals outside of the program. 2) Food!!! My favorite restaurants were: Ama Lachei has a gorgeous, sunny patio with vine-covered terraces overhead, and everything I've ever tried there was incredible. Τυφλόμυγα Καφενείο is a tiny kafeneio with traditional Greek dishes. Their grilled halloumi is definitely the best I've ever had, it's a must-try. Birdman is a Japanese grill and restaurant only a block away from the university. My roommate and I went on a regular basis to have their Iberico Pork Katsu Sando and a glass of wine. I still have dreams about that sandwich almost a year later. The Pie Shop is right down the street from the university on Voulis and Ermou st. The shop is owned by the sweetest French-Greek women. They always sent us home with one or two free pies and made us feel like family. 3) If you're going during the Spring Semester and want to celebrate carnival, Patras has the biggest celebration in the country but bus tickets and hotels/hostels/AirBnBs get booked up very quickly, so plan ahead! 4) To save money, definitely buy most of your groceries at the farmers' market instead of going to Bazaar or AB. The food is fresher and far less expensive. Dina will take you there in your first week to show you where it is and how it works. 5) If you're looking for a nice/non-touristy place to swim, Vouliagmeni is a good spot. There's a canteen called Lefteri's Canteen with access to the sea but basically anywhere along that stretch there are a bunch of spots to hop out of a cab and walk down to the water. 6) Everyone will tell you that you need a Greek phone or SIM card in order to get around. I am here to say that I went the entire trip without data and honestly, it was a great decision. It encouraged me to be present and helped me to navigate the area much faster. If I was ever in a pinch and really needed to use my phone, there are wifi hotspots all over the city that you can pay a few euro to use. If you're looking for a sign on where to go abroad, this is it. Do it. You won't regret it.

My experience with Webster Athens was incredible. I did my first Odyssey in Athens during the summer of 2019 and was able to return for spring 2020. The program takes you on trips around Greece to explore the country as a whole, not just Athens. A few of the classes that are offered go on field trips to museums and parts of Athens that you wouldn't see as a typical tourist. Overall the staff and administration at Webster Athens were very in touch with the wants and needs of a student's experience abroad. Unfortunately, my spring semester was shortened because of COVID. Luckily I still had a few normal months before so and got to go on trips to other parts of Europe with the friends I made on the program. We were all very lucky to have dealt with that weird and difficult time with the help of the study abroad program director, Dina, who is fabulous. I would recommend this program and experience to anybody.

Athens is an amazing city. I went abroad alone and I was able to make so many friends in a really short time. I recommend everyone to visit Greece and come with an open mind and meet as many people as possible.

I am incredibly thankful for my experience studying abroad in Athens. There are endless reasons to appreciate life in the breath-takingly beautiful, unconditionally welcoming, and fundamentally friendly country of Greece. Between my 6 apartment-mates and other Odyssey students who loved exploring as much as I do and all of the incredible monuments, historical sights, and niches of Greek culture within walking distance, every day was a new adventure. While abroad, I made life-lasting friendships with Webster students (other Odyssey students and refugees/immigrants/Greek students), the ever-loving and sensational study abroad coordinator, and Greek people who I met who lived in the area. I also learned an incredible amount about Ancient Greece, Greek culture, traditional Greek cuisine, and so much more about life in Greece over the thousands of years that it has existed due to the positions that I put myself in, from auditing classes and visiting museums to becoming regulars at a bar and forming close friendships with Greek people. I am eternally grateful for this experience and will always take a little bit of Greece with me wherever I go.

I had an amazing time during my semester in Athens. The classes allowed me to explore my own views of new topics and the excursions allowed me to connect to the history of the country as well as my new peers. Through these I feel I left Athens with close ties to my fellow classmates and I gained a deeper understanding of such a historically rich country and my own place within an international society.

My time in Athens was truly life-changing. Being immersed in such a vibrant culture helped me open my eyes to how big the world is, and created a sense of adventure in me. I hope to return to Athens someday, the people there are so kind and lovely. The professors and staff at Webster are all eager and excited to work with you, they make Athens feel like home. I'm forever thankful for my time there and I recommend this program to everyone.

I had an amazing time in Athens and I would highly recommend other students to travel here. The Athens administration and professors are great and really make you feel at home there. The Athens Odyssey program was full of interesting and exciting events, unfortunately my stay was cut short due to the COVID-19 response, but in the time I had there, everything was incredible.

It was a great experience and I got a lot out of it. Seeing the country that invented the concept of democracy was something I am very glad that I did. I got a chance to see many things in Athens, as well as Olympia and the island of Paros. the flights and the layovers to and from Greece were very enjoyable as well.

My experience is difficult to put into words, but I will say that it was the best experience that I've had in my life thus far. For the longest time, I have had an incredible need to experience a life outside of my own comfort, and this study abroad experience was the breath of fresh air I desperately desired. Through the Odyssey in Athens program, I was able to explore Greece to the best of my ability, which was my favorite part of the program. To be honest, there was so much that had transpired during my stay in Athens, it would be impossible to talk about every single experience I had in detail, but my favorite include the trips to ancient Olympia and Mycenae, as well as the walking tours around Athens and ancient historical sites in the Athens area. I learned so much about ancient society and culture, and it was incredible to see how ancient values had found their way into modern society. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to travel Greece and study ancient culture for the program effectively navigates its students through Greek society.

Coming to Webster Athens was a great experience that was unfortunately cut short due to the corona virus. Week by week I started becoming more and more comfortable, with the school administration helping me with any advice on transportation or local life in general. It was definitely difficult to leave, I am still missing it today!

I loved everything about Greece. My classes, the people, and the location of housing was all amazing. I made some amazing life long friends. Every day was filled with a new adventure. Sadly my experience there was shortened by the virus.

Odyssey in Athens is a great experience to have. The school is right in the middle of Athens so there's always something to do, and you get lots of free time to explore Greek culture. There are also many included excursions to historical sites outside of Athens with tour guides and hotels which are completely covered by the school. Overall it was a really good experience that I'm glad I got to do.

My time in Athens was cut short due to the coronavirus but the time I spent there was truly transformative. I learned so much about myself in such a short amount of time and I was beginning to feel more comfortable in my skin and my ability to be independent. Living in an apartment and being in charge of your own well being in a foreign country forces you to get to know yourself and how you function and I'm really grateful for the experience and I truly wish I would've been able to stay the entire semester.

I had a fantastic time on my study abroad experience. Although it was unfortunate it got cut short due to the pandemic, I couldn't have asked for a better time. I learned a lot about Greek culture, enjoyed the excursions, and had any of my questions answered right away.

Choosing to study abroad in Athens was the most amazing experience I have ever had. Immediately you are immersed in this culture where family and friends are still valued as the most important things in life. Everyone takes time for one another and cares and that is especially exemplified all of the staff at Webster University but especially Dina (the program leader). Every single day my friends and I would discover something new walking the streets of Athens as far as we possibly could. The bakeries dotted along every single street always caught our attention with new treats to try and never disappointed us. All of the tavernas and restaurants in Athens added to the incredible charm of the city and while there I ate some of the best food in my life. The fresh fruit and vegetable market was an absolute necessity for weekly grocery shopping and provided produce I only wish that we had in America. On the weekends, islands were only a few hours away and so were the beaches. Another favorite activity was watching the sunset from the Areopagus, knowing that no matter what night was chosen the most gorgeous of sunsets would be on display. Ancient ruins were a 5 minute walk in any direction and the Acropolis stood majestically above you. Before you know it, this city takes a hold of your heart and you begin to identify yourself with it. One by one, the streets become familiar. The cats and dogs of the city become your pets. The local people you meet become your dear friends. The students you are in the program and attend classes with become your family. Then, before you even know it, Athens becomes your home. After you leave the most beautiful city on earth, you are left with the most wonderful of memories and spend your time away counting down the days till you can go back.

I dreaded the day I had to go back to the US. During my time abroad, I visited friends at other study abroad programs in other European countries. With each visit, I felt so lucky that I had chosen Webster Athens. I got to live in an amazing neighborhood surrounded by everything you could dream of. Food, nightlife, museums, monuments, stores. I have travelled a lot, and I have to say that Athens is one of my all time favorite places. If you want to live in a dorm and have a big university experience, then this isn't the place for you. But, if you are looking for independence, small community and a unique experience, then this is it.

I loved being abroad in Greece. I loved how laidback the classes felt, it was something I would never experience back at my college. I loved getting to experience a little bit of the culture there by visiting different sites in Greece. I enjoyed living in an apartment with other girls cause I got to experience a little bit of what it felt like to live on my own. I wish I was still there instead of being back home. I feel like I didn't get enough time to really explore the city and the culture there. I hope I can go back to Greece and visit there soon.

I had an amazing time studying abroad in Athens! The faculty was very helpful in helping us prepare for our arrival in Greece and did an amazing job helping us settle in. The first few days were spent helping students get their bearings - we were given tours of the immediate area, taught survival Greek, and educated about the culture and events that were shaping Athens at the time. The classes were very interesting and the professors were very knowledgable and understanding of the diversity in the classroom. The faculty was always very responsive to student needs. The living quarters were old but suitable for college students. Our group trips were always a blast! I'll definitely miss Greece now that I'm home!!

My study abroad experience is unexplainable, the time I spent abroad was by far the most I learned to grow and become responsible for myself. The people that I met, the experiences that I had made my experience 10x better than it could've been. If I could go back and do it again, I would!

It was an amazing experience, a great group of people, and the life and culture of city and towns you will visit while studying in Athens is just life changing to say none the less. You will not regret traveling to Greece or even studying there.

Studying abroad is definitely an experience everyone should enjoy while being in school. The Athens campus of Webster University was the perfect choice because you not only was able to study, you were also able to experience the country. The classes were manageable for wanting to travel around Europe and the professor are extremely nice and friendly.

This program made my study abroad experience amazing. Not only were the people all so nice, I made friends that will last me a lifetime. By studying in a country within Europe you are in very close quarters with other countries, which makes it possible to travel for a great price. In my time in Athens I not only visited a few islands in Greece such as Santorini, I also visited Budapest, Barcelona and Amsterdam within my semester abroad. The memories I made within my time with Webster University Athens Campus were truly special. I highly recommend this program for anyone seeking adventure and the time of their life!

Webster's Athens campus introduced me to some of the best people in the world. The two leaders of my program were incredibly caring and resourceful people. The roommates I had were likeminded people and are now some of my best friends. It was easy to travel around the city and adventure around Greece. My friends and I climbed to the highest point in Athens, went to beach parties and clubs, cooked for ourselves in the fully furnished apartments and a ton more. I 100% recommend this program to anyone who wants an adventure.

The whole experience made my life goals more clear, made me more confident in myself and made me believe that my future is possible! Studying abroad makes you more independent as a person and gives you the opportunity to see things from a magnifying lens rather than binoculars. It will make you a better version of yourself.

Studying abroad at Webster University's Athens campus was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I studied from January to May and despite Greece being a tourist hub in the summer/warm months, it has so much more to offer than just beautiful beaches. The program made sure that we saw some of the most amazing historical sites such as Ancient Olympia and Mystras, which were both at least 4 hours away with amazing background information that embodied the heart of Greek ideals. Learning about Greek values is something that will stay with me forever; their appreciation of the connection between mind, body, and soul is a concept that my Myth in Classical Literature course studied a great deal, and after living there and getting to know how Greeks live and making friends personally, I could literally see the way that this concept was still ingrained in their characters. In addition to the beautiful culture and people, the location of the apartments and Webster building was incredible. We were located right by Syntagma Square which is one of the major squares of Athens and we were in the heart of the city which is also a city built around ancient ruins. I had to learn the metro system which was a little difficult sometimes especially in the beginning and with not knowing the language, but after a few times, it was pretty easy to figure out. The professors were great, the food was amazing, and the program director, Dina Skias, genuinely cared about the students in the program. Coming from a smaller town with not much to do, living in a major European city with the vibrancy and light of Mediterranean culture and people was the most satisfying, rewarding, and exciting experience. Of course I also had to deal with the dangers of a major city, but that is in no way exclusive to Greece. In addition to the program and staff's exceptional efforts, I fell in love with a beautiful Greek man during my time abroad. Not only was Greece a country that I fell in love with, but also the country that I fell in love in. 10/10 would recommend.

The Odyssey in Athens program is really a one of a kind experience. The program is small which allows for detailed lessons, fun excursions, and a bond with all members of the program both students and staff. Studying abroad in Greece changed my life in so many ways and I highly recommend Webster's program to anyone looking to study abroad.

All my expectations were met & exceeded! My time here was nothing but amazing people, food, views, & excursions. It was such an incredible opportunity to get to know the Greek culture, as well as be immersed within it. Every day there was something new to learn & love so dearly. I would absolutely come back if I have the chance!

I am so happy I signed up for this travel program. This was my first time traveling alone abroad and going into it I was nervous, but the community is so welcoming and kind it put all my worries at ease. The teachers and administrators are wonderful. Every trip planned by the program helped to deepen my understanding of Greek culture. If I were to go back, I wouldn't change a thing.

Being in Greece was truly amazing. The location of living and the school is right in the middle of some great areas of Athens for shopping and food. The excursions and sites were so interesting, but nothing was better than walking the beautiful streets with the other students and experiencing Greek culture.

Studying abroad in Athens was a life changing experience. I have never done anything like it before. The environment that I lived in was completely different from the one I grew up in. I didn't take public transportation much before. And there was a lot of people constantly in the area I lived in. I really liked Athens and hope to return one day for a visit. It is important though, to always be aware of your surroundings and never walk alone, especially at night. The classes were completely different than what I am used to, much less work. because of this, I had the opportunity to really explore Greece and other countries.

I enjoyed my time spent completing the Odyssey in Athens program, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in spending time in Greece or southern Europe. I especially appreciated the amount of care the professors put into the courses, and how helpful the administration was in aiding the students when needed.

The Odyssey in Athens program is amazing. The school is situated right in the center of Athens and the student apartments are right next door. The professors and abroad organizers make themselves very accessible and are very adamant about making every student feel very comfortable and looked after. The school plans small excursions throughout the semester that are very fun and informative. My favorite excursion was the overnight trip we took to Ancient Olympia. I was not challenged in the classes as much as I am at my home campus but the elective classes were all very fun and taught me a lot about the Greek culture and Greek traditions.

Getting to live next to some of the ancient wonders of world is an indescribable experience. Faculty and staff at the campus are extremely friendly and helpful, they became my family away from home. Apartment was in a good location, a two minute walk away from the campus and a few minutes away from all the hotspots in Athens. Other than the plumbing issues the building sometimes had, I have no complaints

Webster’s campus is in the main part of Athens and is central to a lot of places. The location is spectacular with the acropolis being able to be viewed, by rooftop, from Webster’s building as well as one of the apartments. The apartments are not state of the arc, however they are perfect while in Athens because there’s is so much to do around Athens that you won’t want to stay in the apartment every day. The school is nice and all of the professors care about the students and do all they can to help and explain class material. I am really happy that I went to Greece to study abroad and because of my experience while studying abroad would go back and visit Greece in a heartbeat!

The campus may be small but the staff and faculty have huge hearts and welcome you like family. Greece is a magnificent country in which to live and the experience was once in a lifetime and I would recommend to anyone and do it all over again myself if I had the opportunity.

The Odyssey in Athens programs has been the best experience I could have asked for. I've grown into a more confident and worldly person and have had the opportunity to meet and connect with people I never would have before. I've enjoyed learning Greek and going on trips with other students to explore what Greece has to offer!

It was my first time studying abroad and honestly, Athens was definitely a great starting point. The Athens campus provided so much for my experience. What I love the most, is how the Athen campus is in the heart of Athens meaning, everything was walking distance. I had such an awesome time with the events, trips, and meeting fellow local and international students. Studying abroad there helped me personally because I was able to break out of my comfort zone and experience things I have never done before. Athens will forever be in my heart!

I absolutely loved my time with this program! Athens is beautiful and everyone was so nice and helpful. There was plenty of time to travel and to explore Greece. I love the Greek language class and we also got to learn how to make traditional Greek foods.

While studying abroad in the Odyssey in Athens Study Abroad Program I had an amazing experience. We went on many excursions throughout Greece. Everything is so easily accessible. Going to the islands was also exciting. There is so many exciting and fun things to do there. In all of the classes that I took I learned a lot and it was great to be able to take the Greek language class while I was there as well. I look forward to going back to Greece. I am grateful that I had this experience.

I really loved my time in Athens. The experiences I had were unforgettable and I cannot wait to come back to travel more someday. It was really easy to travel to other places, but it was also really easy to stay and constantly have things to do in the city.

Study Abroad was a great place for me to sep out of my box and meet new people and indulge in a new culture. It helped me grow and see all parts of the world. It was a time to relax from the pressure of school work and enjoy taking classes that had to do with the country and culture I was in. School trips were a great time to get to know other study abroad students from the same program while also seeing great places in the country you are visiting.

This whole country is so beautiful and there are so many different places to explore! The excursions were nice and we got to visit Mycenae, Epidaurus, Olympia, Sparta, Monemvasia, and three islands! On my own I also visited Meteora and Delphi, which were incredible. Some of my classes were much more enjoyable than others (loved the Greek language class and Archaeological Sites), the relaxed guidelines and deadlines took some getting used to for me, but it was nice not having to stress so much about getting a paper in right on time! There is so much to do in Athens, I never really felt bored, even just walking around the city is so pleasant, and there are some nice green spaces if you know where to find them. The locals are extremely friendly and they love to talk! Especially if you know a little Greek! I was a little nervous about what my living situation was going to be like at first, since I was in the big apartment with 6 other people (we had 9 total for a bit), but it turned out being pretty great, and we all got along quite well for the most part! The water heaters here have to be turned on 30 min before you want to shower, but you get used to doing this very easily. Doing lots of cooking here has been nice as well, and there is so much good produce at the open markets, it's much cheaper than the grocery store. Overall I am so grateful that I've been able to experience so many beauties in this country and I've met some really incredible friends along the way!

I learned a lot about myself that I didn’t necessarily want to know. But I am glad I know now. The school was wonderful & Dina Skias is the only reason I did not get completely lost. She was a huge help from the start, often more than my home schools study abroad department.

Though I've written essays and papers on how studying abroad would help me academically, that's not exactly why I came here. Yes, I came here to learn, but with the belief that the best teacher is experience. Greece is beautiful, and I'm glad I chose to study in Athens. My trip to Rome confirmed that. The locals are very friendly, and the country's history is so rich. It's the birthplace of a lot of Western ideas, and I think this element helped me to better connect this cultural experience to my own. My perception of my own culture has changed dramatically, and I honestly never thought I could miss home so much. As an American, I always felt like a cultural nomad, but now I see that that isn't true. I've gained a deeper appreciation for Greek culture as well as my own, and I've also grown a lot as a person. I've traveled to other countries both alone and in groups, and I feel more equipped to navigate unfamiliar situations. I've also taken my first philosophy course and had the opportunity to volunteer at a soup kitchen, and my experiences in combination with this has given me a new perception things, and for that I am eternally grateful.

Before coming abroad, my expectations were so high, so high that I feel that I was unable to fulfill them. I was very naive and did not take into account that I wouldn't have the money to do all the things I wanted to do. For my classes, because they were for my major, I had certain expectations considering I had taken similar courses at Goucher. They were so different, which is kinda sad because even though this experience has taught me a lot and I feel that it was not from the classes I took. School is not something I hate, I love learning. But I found that I often dreaded going to class because the material was so boring. This experience has changed me for the better but not in the ways I was expecting.

Coming to Athens was an easy choice for me! I have always wanted to go to Greece and finally had the opportunity to. While here I was able to learn more about the life, and culture of the amazing country. Dina, the students advent coordinator, makes sure that your safe and offers many opportunities to explore!!!

My experience participating in the Odyssey in Athens program was both academically edifying and culturally enriching. This Webster University campus is nestled in a vibrant and architecturally beautiful area at the foot of the Acropolis; in the historic center of Athens. Studying in this dynamic environment while living and learning with international students, staff and faculty was a marvelous experience. The excellent academic programming helped me to fully appreciate Greece's historic intrigue as the birthplace of democracy, theater and the olympics while also understanding its contemporary socio-political significance as a country at the frontlines of the refugee crisis in Europe. For me this unique study abroad opportunity at Webster Athens has been a transformative life experience. Traveling to the beautiful Greek islands, while enjoying delicious cuisine and the remarkable hospitality of its people were among my fondest memories there.

This program was incredibly well structured from activities to housing to networking to more formal education. The opportunity to expand my experience was amazing and I thank the university faculty from the bottom of my heart! The program gave me an entirely new perspective on society, the functions of economy, history, culture, and so much more in a country that I have visited for my whole life with my family to see family and not much more. This new lens helped shape my perspective and has continued to help me in my professional growth. You can study abroad anywhere in the world-- but if I've learned one thing, it isn't about the destination, it's about the people you meet while you are there. The Odyssey program combines an incredible country with incredible people. I felt supported every minute of my time in Greece, and we were able to connect with people in a way that I had never experienced on other education abroad opportunities I have done. We volunteered in the community, had cooking classes, enjoyed dinner at our Professor's house, and it goes on. Don't even get me started about the location of the campus and housing-- You can't get more central in Athens! I'm already counting down the days until I can go back to this beautiful country and see all the beautiful people that I met there.

Athens was the first of five study locations for Webster's Global Master's program in International Relations. Athens was my absolute favorite location! It was the perfect start to the year as it was a combination of fun, excitement, cultural exposure, and intense academic studies. The staff is beyond amazing and it's almost impossible to feel home sick when you have a coordinator half as caring and protective as Dina! It was the highlight of my program and one of the greatest adventures of my life.

Athens is an amazing city with so much history and culture. There are so many wonderful places in and around Greece to travel to. The people at the campus are very friendly and helpful. i had the time of my life and learned so much.

I loved my experience in Greece through Webster! I was fully immersed in the culture, had a great time making new friends, and seeing Greece from a new perspective! I had an amazing time. It has been a dream of mine since I was a kid to live abroad and I came close to that. It was amazing to be immersed in the culture and also to travel outside of Greece and around Europe.

My time in Athens was amazing! What made it so special was the time we spent working with refugees. This program might lack in facilities but really does a good job with social integration, widinging your views of other society norms

Even though I was only studying abroad here for eight weeks, Athens made me feel like I am at home since everyone here is very welcoming and our Webster Staffs helped us in adapting to the environment. If you love history, visiting the ruins or the archaeological sites, Athens is the best place to go and you will love it.

I studied abroad at the Webster campus in Athens, Greece for 4 and a half months. The university as well as the student apartments were located right in the center of the city and everything was in walking distance. If you walked for 5-10 minutes in any direction you could get to sight seeing spots, grocery stores and markets, the metro station, restaurants and more. The central location of the housing really made living there so great, we never had to worry about transportation and everything you could want is right outside your door!

Last year, I studied abroad in the beautiful country of Greece. I only had this opportunity because of Webster University’s Odyssey in Athens Study Abroad Program. This program offers you so many perks that you’re bound to have an amazing time. Included in tuition comes a bunch of different excursions throughout Greece. Without these excursions I would have only been able to visit 3 different places in Greece, but instead I was able to travel to 9 different beautiful parts of Greece. The excursions included seeing multiple archaeological sites and museums, eating great Greek food, bonding with people in the program, and visiting amazing places like Sparta, Ancient Olympia, Epidavros, Monemvasia, and more. I lived in the center of Athens in an apartment located right in the Plaka, which is a very popular area for shops and restaurants. Since the university and housing are centrally located in Athens, shopping for everyday things was very easy. It would only take me 5 minutes to walk to the grocery store, and 2 minutes to walk to class from my apartment. Everything is walking distance in the center, and if you’re looking to travel further out, the metro is another option that is cheap, easy to use, and only a 5 minute walk away. A huge plus that comes with the program is free airfare. The school will pay for your airfare to and from Greece, and also provide you with transportation to your apartment when you first arrive. With this, you save hundreds of dollars of which you can either save or use to travel around Greece and other parts of Europe during the semester. It is very easy to find a balance between school and traveling at Webster Athens. The professors want you to make the most of your experience, and will help you with school when needed. Class sizes are small, which allows you to develop a nice relationship with your professors and receive the attention you need to succeed. The professors are so caring and make you feel right at home. All classes are in English, so you don’t have to worry about knowing the Greek language before you come! They do offer Greek language courses though if you do want to be more involved in the culture and community in Greece. In addition, all of my credits easily transferred over, so you don’t have to worry about wasting your time on classes because they’ll count! All in all, studying abroad at Webster Athens was the best experience of my life. I met wonderful people, visited so many places, ate delicious food, and made memories to last a lifetime. I encourage anyone who is interested in study abroad to consider this wonderful program! You won’t regret it!!

My time abroad in Athens was thoroughly enjoyed, from the time spent trying all of the delicious (cheap) food, like gelato and loukoumades, to the different trips I was able to take. There are so many islands nearby that are easily accessible and provided the most amazing sights. There is nothing like being surrounded by a beautiful ocean while sitting on the beach. There were different types of terrain and beaches on each island which was interesting to discover, from black sands and barren landscapes to heavily populated tourist attractions. I also really enjoyed being able to volunteer at a local refugee center where I got to help out local people who had very little and appreciated the assistance. It was really rewarding you want to go someplace where you would eat delicious food, and have amazing beaches only a tram stop away, then Greece is where you should go.

Greece became a home away from homes in a way I could have never imagined. The faculty care about you and are willing to go above and beyond to ensure that you are heard, advocated for and that you above all have an incredible time. Locals treat you as family and the atmosphere may be beautifully ancient but I assure you that Athens is a modern city. It is a population of young people and booming businesses. I never thought I would have an interest in learning Greek but now I adore the language and gained a remarkable respect for the Greek people and their culture. Living in one of the most exclusive districts in Athens, everything is within walking distance. You're living among history and everywhere you turn you're surrounded by culture, nightlife, and excitement. Additionally, if money is an issue, Greece is one of the most cost-efficient places to live. Between the food, people, and beauty any other choice just cannot compare to what waits for you in Athens.

Studying abroad in Athens with the Odyssey in Athens Study Abroad was incredible. The program provides multiple opportunities to experience the culture and history of Greece. A wonderful program for anyone interested in art or history, since the city of Athens is thriving with both. Also Greece itself is filled with incredible landscapes that are worth the trip itself.

It's a lot of fun. Good memories with fellow students. Amazing culture and in a safe place. This is amazing opportunity to travel around Greece and Europe. Food was good. Everyone spoke English. There was no language barrier. Teachers were good, too.

Studying abroad in Greece was easily a highlight of my years in college. I made some of the best memories and friends i could ask for! Athens is such a unique place to study abroad and being just 20 minutes from the beach made the day to day life even feel like vacation. Greece is beautiful and challenged me to open my mind. HIGHLY recommend coming here. The teachers, school, and environments were the greatest!!!

Attending Webster University Athens was the best decisions I have ever made. The administration at the school is amazing and we all became a family while in Athens. Greek culture is beautiful and everyone I met was so kind and welcoming. The food is great and living expenses were very inexpensive. It is so easy to get around Greece and the rest of Europe, and very inexpensive! Greece is even more beautiful than the photos we often see. Athens will always hold a special place in my heart and I am so thankful for the most fun and adventurous four months of my life I've ever had.

I studied abroad the spring of my sophomore year and I could not have asked for a better experience. The Odyssey program had amazing opportunities to see more of Greece, outside Athens, and was perfectly placed in the heart of the city. The location made it easy to be immersed in the culture too.

My time in Athens was full of excitement and fun—all due to how the Odyssey program was set up. Via the program, I was able to scuba dive in oceans whose visibility is three times better than our native ones. I got to volunteer at a refugee camp. More than anything, I got to participate in a culture that is relies on strong interpersonal morals. The greeks pride themselves as being very social, and their generosity could not slip by you if you stayed there for three days. Being there for four months allowed me to become friends with literally every store owner in a five block radius of my house. If I were feeling anti-social in my apartment, I would have to leave any introversion at the door because I was about to be greeted by greek after greek after greek. As a New Yorker, my biggest culture shock was how friendly everyone was. Get used to strangers being excited to interact with you. I could know the entire extended family of a shop owner within a week in Greece while I still pretend to not recognize the shop owner at my local bodega. Classes are very small, and participation is typically highly encouraged. And guess what? The professors are incredibly friendly too! The longer you spend within this program the more you will realize how much every other American is really missing out. Professors will typically teach two hour classes with a 15 minute break in the middle. Because the semesters are broken up into a first and second half, (and because a lot of the professors are Greek), they will be just as interested in your personality as your smarts. You will find that within the short period of time you have with a professor, they will be invested in you not just as a student, but as a person. The positive attributes that Odyssey professors possess will allow you to feel that your voice is important, which for me was very liberating. When I was accepted to the program I knew no one. By the time I had a Skype orientation, I found out there was one other student from my college joining me. I did not know her personally. Two weeks into my experience, you would have guessed that I was born in the same hospital as all of my peers. If you are looking for a small, immersive social experience, this is it. My group went to greek islands together, we traveled to Berlin, and did a tour around Greece. All the men from my program are probably partially deaf based off of how frequently the girls would ring on our doorbell. I can't see a reason for you not choosing The Odyssey at Athens as your study abroad program, and I hope that you do!

My time abroad in Athens through Webster was nothing but unforgettable. I made the best of friends and was immersed into the culture in every way possible (language, socialization, culinary, shopping, travel). The staff at Webster University Athens are some of the best people that I have ever met. From the director, Dina Skias, to all of the professors, they are all there to help you, answer any questions, give suggestions for trips, and of course suggest places for delicious food! It has been three years since I have studied abroad and I still am in contact with the staff. Webster University plans trips for you to take to discover Athens and a few of the islands. All of the locals that I met and became part of my weekly schedule were very sweet, everyone was helpful. I was able to learn some strong Greek from the professors and through using it everyday. Through the program I took classes on architecture, the olympics, Greek history, the Greek language, and even got certified in SCUBA. I also received the opportunity to volunteer at a local refugee center and a sea turtle rescue center through the community service class. That class ended up being my favorite because I was able to help and even plan a holiday party for the refugee children. I had an apartment with three other roommates, we all had our own rooms, balcony, and 2 bathrooms. Living here was inexpensive, so was food and travel, especially compared to other places around the world. Do not miss this opportunity, I promise you will not regret it.

When I had first chosen to study abroad in Greece, I had no idea what to expect. Every expectation I ever had was exceeded! I could write a novel about my experience, but I'll just say that because of Greece and because of the Webster program, I finally found myself. I finally was comfortable with being alone, being independent, and doing something completely for myself. It was hard adjusting at first, but the program made it so easy forget that you were thousands of miles from home. I had the opportunity to travel to 5 different countries, 5 islands, and countless cities. I became PAVI scuba certified, something I would have never done if it wasn't for the program. I learned and spoke Greek more than I have ever spoken another language. Everything was always so relaxing, peaceful, and beautiful. I was finally also able to afford everything. Food in Greece, and in the Plaka was inexpensive. Traveling out of Athens was also cheap, whether it be by boat or plane. When it came time to leave, I was ready, but the second I touched down in America I wanted to go back. It was an opportunity of a lifetime, and it was the time of my life.

This experience was more than worthwhile and I would recommend it to absolutely everyone. The people of Greece are so friendly and welcoming. At the beginning of the program, I traveled around to other countries, but always found myself excited to be going back to Athens. Of course, I loved the other countries that I went to, but there was something about Athens that felt like home to me. This experience abroad taught me to make the best out of every situation that is placed in your life. There is no way to prepare for the unexpected, the good and the bad, but this experience is all about learning how to deal with situations when they come your way. I have definitely become more carefree and easy going because of my time abroad! I completely immersed myself into the Greek culture and have been missing it ever since I left. I became very close to the local students at Webster Athens and gained even more of a cultural experience through them. I would highly recommend befriending the local students, as they will show you around Athens and other parts of Greece from a local point of view. One of the best aspects of this program is the LOCATION!!! The school is literally in the heart of Athens, right in the Plaka! Which is an amazing adventure in and of itself! The Plaka is a beautiful addition to the Athens area and offers so many wonderful things to explore and so many delicious delicacies to indulge yourself in. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of this prime location and the amazing food around you. I would choose this program all over again in a heartbeat and truly wish I could have stayed there longer! The people, the atmosphere, the food, the culture...everything exceeded my expectations - which were very high to begin with. I could not have imagined going anywhere else to study abroad and I am ecstatic about my experience. This semester truly changed my outlook on life, in a positive way, and opened my eyes to my surroundings. One of the many highlights of this program would definitely be the amazing faculty and staff at Webster Athens! From scuba diving with a remarkable instructor, Spyros - to taking Greek with one of the sweetest people you will ever be blessed to meet, Joanna, you will find a friendly facing ready to help you make the most of your experience! Dina Skias, the study abroad coordinator, is one of the most remarkable aspects of this program!!! She truly put her all helping each and every one of us to make sure we were each comfortable and adjusting easily to the Greek culture, in order to gain the most out of our experiences. She did not view us as a group, but rather as individuals. You could tell how much she cared about us. She made the adjustment very smooth and was always my go-to person to talk to, as she was very reliable and just a pure joy to talk to. This program deserves so much recognition for their staff, as they are all caring and genuine people who want you to enjoy your experience. They are one of the aspects that I will miss the most, as I have formed true connections with some of them.

Honestly I can’t say enough good things about this program. The Director, Dina, was amazing. She took us on so many cultural excursions and we learned so much. I got really bad altitude sickness from diving and she came to my apartment with food and drinks that would help me feel better. Also the area is phenomenal. You live right in the heart of Athens, but it’s actually really safe. You can walk anywhere you need to and see things that have been there for thousands of years. Also the cost of living is insanely cheap, and the locals are so fun and kind. Night life is very fun, but after a while you’ll just want to explore the history. Go to Athens you will never regret it!
