The goal of UAM’s Summer School of Economics and Business (SSEB) is to offer high-quality courses taught in English by professors of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies as well as to bring together students from all over the world and Spanish students in a truly international environment. The academic excellence of the courses is complemented by social and cultural events, as well as field trips, which are not offered during the regular Fall and Spring semesters.
Students can choose two courses (12 ECTS) or one course (6 ECTS) from the following:
1. Environmental Economics and Policy Analysis
2. International Finance
3. Global Marketing
4. Doing Business in Spain
UAM’s campus is in Madrid. It is beautiful and green, combining a wonderful natural environment with all kinds of modern facilities. It is just 21 minutes away from the heart of the city, La Puerta del Sol. Spain’s capital has everything to offer to make your stay an unforgettable experience: historic sites, monuments, museums, parks and public spaces, fashionable boutiques, shopping centers, sports and music venues, lively bars and restaurants, nightclubs, and many other tourist attractions.

A very interesting experience. The courses were given in the morning, which meant that I could enjoy the city and discover its many treasures in the afternoon. The finance module was quite comprehensive and enabled me to strengthen my knowledge in this area.
Summer 2024 was memorable in my life, i had the privilege to have summer course in UAM in it was the best experience in my academic life. The city the campus, the professors and classmates were amazing.
I studied Environmental Economics and Policy Analysis & International Finance. Although, I was only looking forward to the first course, International Finance pleasantly surprised me and sparked a newfound interest in the subject area. The courses are well timed with plenty of time to grab an affordable lunch and sight see with friends in the evening. The school also took the effort to plan trips for the students! The professors are kind and approachable and I’ve made some really good friends who I’m still in touch with. This is an incredible experience that I would highly recommend!
Amazing time at the autonomous university of Madrid. Loved my time there. Curriculum was taught in a good and understandable way. University was a bit far from the centre. Great city, great country and great experience.
