Applied Sustainable Development Summer Field Intensive
Program Overview
Go beyond the classroom to tackle real-world issues in Western Belize, Central America. Earn 3 U.S. transferable academic credits from Shenandoah University in this 14-day, hands-on, field-intensive global learning program in the summer.
You'll collaborate with Belizean experts, guided by a distinguished professor, and connect directly with local communities on innovative projects focused on economic development, climate resilience, and sustainable agriculture.
Travel from the lush rainforests to the vibrant reef, gaining an unparalleled understanding of international sustainable economic and community development challenges and contributing directly to key UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The program provides an opportunity to gain firsthand insights into sustainable living and development challenges, and apply practical knowledge to real-world scenarios through service to a migrant-settled community in western Belize.
