Program Overview

The Tears of Young Orphans Shall Stop International, founded and directed by Moses, is dedicated to restoring hope to vulnerable street children and orphans. Our primary mission is to move children from the streets into a safe home and a productive classroom environment. We invite international volunteers to join us in this life-changing work through a holistic approach to community development.

How you will make an impact:
Street Outreach & Housing: Assist in transitioning children from the streets into our residential and educational programs.
Education & Teaching: Support local teachers in community basic schools with English and Mathematics instruction.
Sports & Football Training: We use sports to build discipline and confidence. You will lead football training sessions and youth sports development.
Construction & Renovation: Participate in the physical construction and renovation of community basic schools to ensure a safe learning space for all.

What is the living environment like for volunteers?

You will stay in our family-run guest house, which features a very large, secure compound. It is a peaceful habitat designed for the community. We use the big outdoor space for fun games, football, and relaxing after a day of service. You will truly feel at home here.

Can I learn the local language while staying at the guest house?

Yes! We believe a good habitat includes communication. We offer Ghanaian language lessons right on our compound. These lessons help you bond with the children and the local community, making your stay deeply meaningful.

How secure is the guest house compound?

Our guest house is a safe haven. The compound is gated, and we provide 24/7 support. You are never alone; our local team is always available to ensure you feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout your stay.

What kind of meals are provided?

We provide three delicious, home-cooked Ghanaian meals every day. Eating together on the compound is a highlight of the experience. We can also accommodate special diets if you let us know your needs in advance.

What can I do in my free time on the compound?

Our compound is very big and perfect for relaxation and play! You can join the children for football matches, participate in group fun and games, or simply relax in the open air. It is the heart of our social life where volunteers bond and create lasting memories together.
