I am writing in response to SV Summer Research Program 2019. I respectfully submit this letter, for I believe my education and experiences are well qualified to meet the needs of the scientific and technological research. Currently I’m enrolled in 1st year of Masters of Environmental Engineering Program at Chongqing University China and expected of completion of degree is 2020. My future research orientation will be toward Purification of drinking water through Activated carbon in Advance oxidation treatment. I have received my bachelor’s degree in BS (Hons) Environmental Sciences, the four year undergraduate programme formed the foundation of my perseverance towards achieving profound knowledge in the field of environment. My bachelor’s thesis was based on heavy metals analysis (in soil, water and human Blood) on Public health environment. The reason I wanted to study Environmental Sciences and Engineering is because I feel the need to integrate all fields of life if we want to achieve a sustainable future. Studying different subjects has provided me with an insight of the different aspects of environment. Now I expect to gain real world knowledge of the field. I see this opportunity to study this programme as a way of putting theory into practice. I would like to reiterate that I possess the background, the ability and motivation to make a significant contribution in the proposed field of study. Developing nations like Pakistan need professionals who can initiate the practical application of sustainable development if we want to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. I am applying for this programme for higher studies due to its global excellence and its better resource and technical facilities that are available there, to do a quality research in teams of facilities like equipment’s and laboratories. What makes me different from other applicants is my drive and persistence. I have worked with United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) in Pakistan on WASH Emergency and Pakistan Approach to total sanitation (PAT’S) Projects as a “Water Quality Analyst” for 2.5 years. The working conditions were harsh and the job required me to travel to distant areas. I have completed all the work assignments with in the given time frame and with a gratified conscience and gained country wide recognition when WHO conducted an independent sampling in one of the most polluted areas in Pakistan for achieving a Negative Environmental sample for the first time. Other than my work experience, I make a very strong candidate for this scholarship because of my good academic carrier. My good grades and extensive list of co-curricular activities speaks for my ability to perfectly manage my studies and other interests. Since studying at the university and working with UNICEF I have been steadily developing personal communication and presentation skills. I participated in various conferences and seminars related to my field of studies. I was selected as the Co-coordinator representative of Department of Environmental Sciences of our campus for 2 years. After successful completion of my studies, I would greatly contribute the acquired skills and applied knowledge for the welfare of my country. By gaining excellence in technical skills and scientific knowledge, I will use more holistic approaches for achieving ecological security and will play my role to promote sustainable development in my country. I strongly believe that with the combination of my experiences, education, and motivation I am an appropriate candidate for this scholarship. In conclusion, I would like to say that I am enthusiastic to gain new experiences, improve my skills and broaden my understanding of the dynamic world, and I am persuaded that studying in Austria. would contribute to my development in the best possible way. My achievements as a student and in my Professional career advocate my stance of being eligible for this scholarship and for an opportunity to excel in my field.

This intership gave me a lot of confidence and I learnt a lot in the field I am interested in. This was a good learning experience and a good exposure. We had interns from round the globe and it was a fun experience as well. All our needs , from housing to other support was taken care of. I am sure, I will be able to grab a good job with this experience.
