Program Overview

Spanish fluency opens doors, and the DiLe Program at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) is built to get you there faster.

Located in Madrid, Spain, this semester or full-year program is ideal for international students who want to advance their Spanish, deepen their knowledge of the culture, and take real university courses alongside UAM students. It also works well as a structured gap year before starting a degree in Spain or abroad.

Students enroll in courses designed for international learners and can also take up to two regular UAM undergraduate courses in various subjects. You can earn up to 30 ECTS per semester. The language requirement is an A2/B1 level of Spanish, with a B2 level recommended for students wishing to enroll in degree courses alongside DiLe classes.

All students build intercultural skills, sharpen academic Spanish, and learn directly from UAM faculty in a truly international classroom setting.
